Demonstrations

• On January 1st 2018,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Quds University campus in Abu Dis town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city and clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes and detained 2 residents.
2. At 18:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Ijza village until 11:55.
3. At dawn on January 1st 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes then detained a residents.

Detention

1. At 14:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Eizariya town detained Yusef Hussien Mustafa Al-Sharqawi {A resident of Beit Jallah city in Bethlehem district}.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Suhayeb Al-Hindi and Uday Al-Salamiya in Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.
3. Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Al-Baytawi in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.
2. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned near Hizma town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned near Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
4. At dawn on January 1st 2018, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On the morning of December 31st 2017, Israeli forces closed "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city and impeded the free flow of traffic then reopened it at 18:30.

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beit Sira village then searched residents and vehicles until 18:00.

Raid

1. At 09:20, Israeli forces raided Deir Nathim village, clashed with several residents then detained a child.
2. At 09:20, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town, clashed with several residents as they stormed Nur Al-Hadi school and detained a student.
3. At 11:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, clashed with several residents and detained a resident.
4. At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Zied village.
5. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and Al-Amarai camp until 05:00.

Detention

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Mahkama Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city detained 2 residents: Sameh Yasser Ismail Fakhouri, and Ahmed Mahmoud Alawneh {both are resiednts of Jenin city}.
2.Israeli forces detained Yazen Fadel al-Tamimi {15 years old} in Deir Nathim village.

3. Israeli forces detained Mohammed Hisham Abu Rashid in Al-Bireh city.
4. Israeli forces detained Qusay Mohammed Al Saadi {14 years old} during clashes in Beituniya town.

Attack

1. At 09:15, Israeli forces positioned at "Psagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 09:20, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed Al-Huda school during their raid into Beituniya town..
3. At 09:20, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 11:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Bireh city.
5. At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
6. At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Mughier village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
7. At 13:05, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
8. At 14:15, Israeli forces positioned at "Ofar" military base fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Assault on Educational sector

At 09:20, Israeli forces stormed Al-Huda school and launched stun and tear gas canisters as they detained a student during their raid into Beituniya town.

Closure of main Roads

On the morning of December 31st 2017, Israeli forces closed the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp near near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 12:05, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad, Arraba and Jaba' towns and Al-Mansoura and Ajja villages.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces raided Faqou'a village.
3.At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town and served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by the family of Yusef Khalid Mustafa Kamil {A Palestinian detainee} and gave the family 4 days before implementing the order.

Detention

On December 30th 2017, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Salah Sharibi as he was riding his motor cycle near Ti'inik village junction.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Al-Bayda village located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and Nour Al-Shams camp, Zieta, Attil and Anabta towns and Far'oun, Kafr Al-Labbad and Kafr Sur villages, stormed and searched several homes, detained 12 residents {including 2 children} in Tulkarem city, Tulkarem camp and Zieta towns then withdrew at 05:25.

Israeli forces detained 12 residents: Izz al-Din Raed Awad, A{resident of Tulkarem camp}, Mu'ayyid Tayyeh Anbar, {A resident of Tulkarem refugee camp}, Ja'far Ra'fat Abu Ateeq, {15 years old} {A resident of Tulkarm camp}, Nidal Abdel-Fattah Tafal, {17 years old}{A resident of Tulkarm camp}, Saad Nabtiti, {A resident of Tulkarm}, Amjad Abu Safaqa {A resident of Tulkarm}, Fadi al-Tayeh {A resident of Tulkarm}, Waseem Ibrahim Jada {A resident of Zieta town} and Husam Abu Hamda {A resident of Zieta town}.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hajja village then searched residents and vehicles until 19:00.

Raid

At 11:45, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, clashed with several residents, detained a child then withdrew at 14:20.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdul Rahman Majid Ayman Labat {17 years old} during clashes in Qalqiliya city.

Attack

1.At 11:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Qalqiliya city.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned in the west area of Jayyous town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Taluza village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Burin village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 10:00.
2. At 11:45, Israeli forces raided Tel village, clashed with several residents and as a result injured 5 residents {including a child}.
3. At 14:05, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Shimaliya and clashed with several residents.
4. At 23:05, Israeli forces raided Awarta village until 00:25.
5. At 01:10, Israeli forces raided Madma and A ssira Al-Qibliya village until 03:40.
6. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:40.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ala Jamous in Nablus city.

Attack

1. At 09:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Burin village.

SALFIT

Raid

1. At 01:35, Israeli forces raided Deir Ballout town, detained a PLC member then withdrew at 02:30.
2. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Salfit city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 04:30.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Nasser Abed Jawad {A PLC member} in Deir Balout town.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 18:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Jiftlik village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hani Issam Ahmad Sa'ed in Al-Jiftlik village.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jurat Al-Sham'a village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area located at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 20:30.

Raid

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town and clashed with several residents.
2. At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town until 05:00.

Attack

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces positioned near the secondary school ion Al-Khader town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning, temporarily detained a child a then released him at a later time.
2. At 11:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Khader town.

Temporary Detention

At 10:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained the child Anas Mohammad Marzouq Issa {12 years old}{A resident of Al-Khader town} and fined his 2000 NIS then released him at 22:00.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:30, Israeli forces set up 5 checkpoints at the south entrance of Hebron city, at the entrances of Beit Ummar and Halhul towns, at Zif village junction and at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na'im town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.
3. At 19:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fah's area located in south Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.

Raid

1. At 20:50, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 04:10.
2. At dawn on January 1st 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp, stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents and summoned Ahmad Yusef Jawabra to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Salah Ahmad Al-Teti and Baha Karamah in Al-Arrub camp.

Attack

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 13:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Duwara area in Al-Sa'ir town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Al-Fuwar camp and impeded the free flow of traffic.
2. On the evening of December 31st 2017, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Beit Ummar town and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.
•The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza and Central Gaza districts

•Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fired and launching projectiles towards the Green Line.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 12:40 on December 31st 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire toward agricultural land in east Beit Hanoun town.

Palestinian Attacks

At 19:30 on December 31st 2017,Palestinian gunmen launched projectiles towards the Green Line.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 22:20 on December 31st 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire toward agricultural land in east Al-Maghazi camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
