WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Detention

1.On December 31st 2018, Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Alaa Aziz Haddad, Ayman Daajneh, Marwan Hassan Najib, Subhi Nafez Najib and Mohammed Awad Gharabli in Jerusalem city.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Nabi Samuel military checkpoint detained Anwar Raed Makhtoub {A resident of Al-Qabibat village}.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 19th consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:55,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Sinya village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atara town bridge {located at the North entrance of Bir Ziet town} then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kobar town then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Intham village, detained a child then withdrew at 21:15.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet, Kobar and Abboud towns.
3. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Zied village.

Detention

1. At 02:00 on December 31st 2018, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Na'im Mohammad Wahdan {A resident of Tayassir village} during their raid into Ramallah city {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.
2. Israeli forces detained Abdallah Al-Tamimi {14 years old} in Dier Intham village.

Settlers Attacks

On December 31st 2018, a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the bypass road near Al-Mughier village ran over a herd of goats and as a result killed 30 goats owned by Khalid Soliman Abu Aliya and Salem Soliman Abu Aliya {Both residents of Al-Mughier village}.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 14:10, Israeli forces raided Silat Al-Thaher town and Al-Fanduqumiya village until 17:35.
2. At 17:15, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town until 17:25.
3. At 23:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Silah Al-Harthiya and Al-Tamoun towns, Zubaba, Rumana, Annin, Ti'inik and Kafr Dan villages until 00:50.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 12:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Tayassir" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 13:10.

Detention

At 05:300, Israeli forces positioned at "Tayassir" military checkpoint detained Ahmad Jihad Mohammad Sawafta {A resident of Tubas city}.

Assaults on Property

At 12:00 on December 31st 2018, the Israeli Military forced 14 families out of their homes in Ibziq village located in the North Jordan valley {after serving military orders at an earlier time} from 12:00 on December 31st 2018 until 06:00 on January 1st 2019 for alleged military training in the area.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and Shwikiya neighborhood in the city until 00:15.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:40 and again at 21:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 10:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hablat town tunnel {located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya city} then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 21:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road connecting Jayyous and Azzun towns then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched 2 homes and as as result left a resident suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

At 02:20, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched 2 homes during their raid into Jayyous town and as as result left Hakam Saleem suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

On December 31st 2018,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Beit Furiq" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Detention

At 05:50 on December 31st 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara military checkpoint detained Mohammad Ahmad Abdel-Rahman Sa'udi {A resident of Nablus city}.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 10:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 02:30.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town until 15:20.
2. At 16:45, Israeli forces raided Nihalin village until 17:50.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Wadi Al-Huriya area located in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Raid

1. At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Yatta town then stormed and searched a home.
2. At 05:35, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, detained 3 residents then summoned Yusef Alqam to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

1. At 09:50, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Hassan Ali Abu Ayash and Mahmoud Ali Abu Ayash near the entrance of Beit Ummar town.
2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Karam Yousef Akhlil, Ahmed Yousef Alqam, and Kazem Yousef Alqam in Beit Ummar town.

Destruction of Property

1. At 16:55, Israeli forces demolished a live stock den owned by Ahmad Mohammad Hamdan Abu Mariya located along road 60 in Biet Ummar town.
2. On December 31st 2018, Israeli forces demolished a agricultural storage den owned by Sa'ed Al-Amour located in Al-Masafar area in east Yatta town and also uprooted several Olive trees.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza,Khan Yunis and Rafah districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 08:30 on December 31st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Maghazi camp.
2. At 12:50 on December 31st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Maghazi camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 11:50 on December 31st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 13:35 on December 31st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Abbassan town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.

Attack
