WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On January 10th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  •  The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.
  • On November 16th 2015, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem which leads to “Armon Hantsiv” settlement with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  • On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu’fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
Flying Checkpoints

At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 04:15, Israeli forces raided Beit Duqqu village, stormed several homes and detained 2 resident.

Detention
  • On January 10th 2016, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Hadi Odeh, Mohammad Salah and Yusef Abu Irmeleh {All residents of Al-Eisawiya}.
  • At 18:45, Israeli forces detained the child Hamza Al-Malahi (14 years old) in Beit Hanina.
  • At 22:30, Israeli forces detained Nader Al-Masri (A resident of Shu’fat camp) in Jerusalem.
  • Israeli forces detained 2 residents Mohammad Waleed Dar Daoud and Mohammad Fahat Rayan in Beit Duqqu village.
Attack

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned at Shu’fat checkpoint fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Temporary Detention

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Ram temporarily detained the child Rizq Nafez Jaradat (15 years old){A resident of Al-Ram} for alleged  toning then released him at 23:30.

Confiscation of Property

At 15:00, Israeli forces stormed Jabal Abu Al-Nuwar area in east Al-Eizariya, dismantled and confiscated several tents provided by the International Red Crescent Society to the Bedouin families whose homes were previously demolished by Israeli forces.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages.
  • On October 3rd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road located near “Bet El” settlement and leading to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks.
  • Since November 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main entrance of Sinjil and the east entrance of Al-Mughier village with cement blocks.
  • At 18:50 on December 4th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main entrance of Abboud with cement blocks.
  • On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Foqa then searched residents and vehicles until 13:40.
  • At 16:35 and again at 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Um Safa village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:55.
  • At 20:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Sinya village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:10.
Raid
  • At 10:50 and again at 02:25, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet , stormed and searched several homes, detained a University Student then stormed Bir Ziet University Campus and them broke into and searched the Student Union Headquarters and confiscated several files and office equipment then withdrew at 06:25.
  • At 04:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city.
Attack

At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Budrous village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Usayed Al-Banna in Bir Ziet University.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
  • Since the evening of November 25th 2012, Israeli forces closed the western entrance of Ya’bad.
Flying Checkpoints

At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Arraba junction then searched residents and vehicles until 15:00.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem until 05:15.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  • Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  • In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  • Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mounds
  • Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate
Raid

At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Azzun, stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 04:35.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hamza Mohammad Na’im Anaya and Abdel-Azziz Mash’hour Saleem in Azzun.

Attack

At 22:30, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Azzun Atma opened fire towards several laborers as the attempted to cross the wall agte entrance looking for work in areas inside the Green Line and as a result injured Ahmad Nu’man Hussien Awwad (A resident of Siris village in Jenin) leaving him hospitalised.

Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  • The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  • At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  • On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
Military Checkpoints

At 12:45, Israeli forces closed Huwarah checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 13:30.

  • At 12:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles until 16:00.
  • At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Shave Shomron” settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
  • At 01:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Furiq junction then searched residents and vehicles until 21:20.
Raid
  • At 10:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Naqqura village until 10:45.
  • At 11:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Imrin village until 12:00.
  • At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Nablus as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers as they stormed Josephs Tomb, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 05:00.
  • At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Tel village, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 04:40.
Detention

Israeli forces detained Muhanad Ibrahim Ramadan and Mohammad Ibrahim Ramadan in Tel village.

Attack

At 19:40, Israeli forces positioned near Qusra village opened fire towards several farmers.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  • On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
  • Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Detention

At 21:40, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Al-Zawiya detained 2 residents: Diya Ibrahim Salah Mustafa and Baha Mohammad Abdel-Rahim Salamah.

Temporary Detention

At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara checkpoint junction temporarily detained Nader Hajja (A National Security Force Officer) then released him at a later time.

Physical Assault

At 01:50, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Kafr Qassim checkpoint assaulted Mohammad Zahi (A resident of Saris village in Jenin) and as a result left him hospitalised with contusions.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 08:15, Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District until 13:55.

Raid

At 21:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village and positioned near Palestinian National Security force headquarters.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  • Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  • Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
  • On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
  • Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  • At 15:30 on November 20th 2015, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Jinata and the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:10 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
  • At 18:00 on November 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Bararat junction located in Ras area in Beit Jallah with cement blocks.
  • At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
  • Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  • Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  • Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints

At 08:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.

Raid
  • At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar, stormed and searched several homes, detained 8 residents include a child then withdrew at 05:10.
  • At 03:55, Israeli forces raided Marah Rabah village and detained a resident.
Attack
  • At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Taqou’ fired live ammunition, rubber coasted steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents including a child: Loia Habas Al-Amour (17 years old) and Baha Al-Din Aref Dakhlalla Al-Amour.
  • At 12:55, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ayda camp in North Bethlehem fired rubber coasted steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained 8 residents: Hamza Ammar Taqatqa (17 years old), Mohammad Taha Taqatqa, Rami Musa Thawabteh, Nabeel Ibrahim Thawabteh, Eyad Sami Thawabteh, Nasr Mohammad Thawabteh, Abdalah Salem Thawabteh and Azziz Ali Dariya in Beit Fajjar.
  • Israeli forces detained Ahmad Mahmoud Ali Al-Shiekh in Marah Rabah village.

HEBRON

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  • Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Thahiriya and Al-Samoa’ towns, Al-‘Arrub refugee camp, and Al-Tuwani and Al-Karmil villages.
  • The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  • The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
  • At 05:50 on November 5th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance leading Farsh Al-Hawa area in Hebron with Cement blocks.
  • At 10:30 on November 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the junction located near “Hagi” settlement located in south Hebron with cement blocks.
  • At 21:00 on November 11th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Beit Awwa and Al-Majd village with cement block and dirt mounds.
  • At 15:45 on November 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed Al-Samiya village junction located at the west entrance of Al-Samou’ with cement blocks.
  • On November 15th 2015 , Israeli forces closed the entrances of Khliat Al-Miya and Al Dirat and the 2 bypass roads leading east Ytta with cement blocks.
  • On November 23rd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Qom village located in North Beit Awwa with Cement blocks.
  • On December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed a checkpoint located along Al-Shuhada road located in the old city of Hebron and prevented residents from passing through the checkpoint and redirected traffic through a road near the entrance of Jabal Al-Rahma.
  • On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.
  • At 01:45 on January 8th 2016, Israeli forces closed the entrances of Sa\ir and Al-Shiyoukh towns and prevented residents from entering or exiting the area with the exception of emergency health cases.
Flying Checkpoints

At 20:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Fuwar junction and detained 2 resiednts.

Raid

At 10:05, Israeli forces raided Dura, stormed a home and summoned Riyad Maslim Al-0Manoura’s wife to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention
  • At 20:35, Israeli forces detained Ayash Abdel-Nasser Khalil (A resident of Beit Ummar) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
  • Israeli forces detained Mohamamd Kamal Al-Khadour and Mohammad Khalil Al-Azza {both resiednts of Al-Fuwar camp).
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  •  Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis.
  •  Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
Attack
  • At 12:30, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya.
  • At 06:20 on January 11th 2016 Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  • Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
Attack
  • At 08:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several farmers on agricultural land in east Al-Shuja’ya neighbourhood located in east Gaza City.

CENTRAL GAZA

  • At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS
