DAILY SITUATION REPORT

 08:00, 10th January  2022 -08:00, 11th  January  2022

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 24:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Bedouin, and handed the citizen: Fares Al-Khodour a notice to refer to the Israeli intelligence.
2. At 00:40, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Al-Ram, and conducted the patrol until 03:30.

Detention

1. At 10:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Ramadan Hajj Mahmoud - residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem.
2. At 10:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Muhammad Al-Zaghal - residents of Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Deportation

At 12:30, the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem handed a decision to deport the citizen: Muhammad Hamad - residents of the Shuafat neighborhood in Jerusalem, from the West Bank governorates and prevented him from entering them for a period of 6 months.

Destruction of Property

1. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces bulldozed a cemetery (under construction) in the village of Umm Tuba, under the pretext of not having a permit.
2. On 01/10/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a commercial facility (vehicle wash), , in the village of Al-Isawiya under the pretext of not having a license.

Land Levelling

At 10:00, the Israeli occupation forces razed areas of citizens' lands (known by their owners): Fadi Alyan - (one of the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the village of Al-Isawiya.

Settlers Attacks

At 14:00, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near the Al-Jib checkpoint, threw stones at a woman while she was driving her vehicle. As a result, she was wounded and her jaw broken. She was subsequently transferred to an Israeli hospital for treatment.

Injuries

The civilian: Abeer Daoud Abu Jamal - residents of Jabal Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem was injured with a broken jaw because of her vehicle being pelted with stones by a settler near the Jeep checkpoint

Physical Assault

At 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces assaulted the citizen: Muhammad Abu al-Hummus in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem for raising the Palestinian flag, in conjunction with the storming of the neighborhood by a group of settlers headed by the extremist Israeli Knesset member “Ben Gvir” and the deputy mayor of the occupation in Jerusalem Ari King.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, groups of extremist Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:10, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint on the Wadi El-Delb road near Ras Karkar village, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities.
2. At 20:45, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the settlement of "Beit El", north of the city of Al-Bireh, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 03:40.

Raid

1. At 12:25, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Aboud, detained a child, and released him at 17:15.
2. At 14:20 the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Bir Zeit, and stormed the campus of Bir Zeit University, where confrontations took place with the students, as a result of which 2 students were injured, and 5 university students were detained.
3. At 01:55, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Kobar and the village of Deir Nidham, and detained 2 civilians in the town of Kober.

Detention

1. The five students detained at Bir Zeit University are: Ismail Zahi Barghouti, Qassam Nakhleh, Abdel Hafez Sharbati, Walid Harazneh, and Muhammad Al-Khatib.
2. The two detainees in the town of Kober are: Abdullah Muhammad Al-Barghouti and Abdullah Muhammad Asfour.

Temporary Detention

At 12:25, the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained the child: Omar Maher Abu Hussein, 15, during their raid into Aboud town, and released him at 17:15.

Assault on Educational sector

At 14:20, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Birzeit University campus, and fired live ammunition at the students, while detaining 5 university students, injuring 2 students.

Attack

1. At 14:20, the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition towards university students , while storming the Birzeit University campus while they were arresting a number of university students, injuring 2 students.
2. At 22:10, the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of the settlement of "Psagot", which is built on the eastern outskirts of Al-Bireh city, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they were being thrown with stones.

Injuries

1. At 11:30, the citizen: Muhammad Abd al-Rahman Ali Abu Shusha was injured, as a result of being shot by the Israeli occupation forces while they were carrying out training work near the entrance to the “Ofer” camp.
2. Two unidentified civilians were injured during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces on the campus of Bir Zeit University

Closure of main Roads

At 12:05, the Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate built between the villages of Ras Karkar and Deir Bzei', in front of traffic, and reopened it at a later time.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers entered the outskirts of Beitin village and attacked the homes of citizens. As a result, the occupation forces intervened and evacuated the settlers from the place.
2. At 16:35, a group of Israeli settlers was at the junction of the town of Al-Taybeh (on the Al-Maar’at road connecting the Ramallah and Jericho governorates), and attacked the vehicles of citizens passing by.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 05:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Jabaa, and stormed and searched 2 houses.
2. At dawn on 01/11/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Bir al-Basha and detained a citizen.

Detention

The detainee in the village of Bir al-Basha is: Wissam Walid Khashan.

Attack

At 12:35, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of the Al-Jalama checkpoint, north of Jenin, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 01:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Tulkarm, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 04:00.

Detention

The detainee in the city of Tulkarm is: Alaa Salah Shaheen.

Attack

At 16:30, the Israeli occupation forces, in charge of guarding the apartheid separation wall near the town of Zita, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ezbet Al-Tabib, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.

Raid

At 15:00 and again at 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Kafr Laqif, and stormed poultry farms and a carpentry workshop owned by the citizen: Muhammad al-Hindi until 01:55.

Settlement Activities

At 14:00, the Israeli occupation forces razed, an area of 1.5 donums of agricultural land owned by: Murad Aref Bashir, east of Jinsafut village with the aim of expanding the settlement of "Emmanuel".

Settlers Attacks

At 12:00, a group of Israeli settlers entered the citizens' agricultural lands to the west of Kafr Qaddoum village, where the villagers managed to confront the settlers and force them to leave the place.

NABLUS

Raid

At 22:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Awarta while escorting a group of Israeli settlers during their visit to a historical shrine during which confrontations took place with the citizens, and they withdrew at 04:50.

Detention

1. At 07:45 on 01/10/Israeli 2022, the Israeli occupation forces detained 4 citizens (including 2 Security force officers):Abdel Moneim Al-Shouli - (from the General Intelligence Service), Ammar Mahmoud Muhammad Musa - (from the National Security Forces), Ayser Tawfiq Hamadna, and Mahyoub Al-Shouli - residents of the northern town of Asira during their raid into Al-Nasaria village (in addition to what was mentioned in the previous report).
2. At 15:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Asala Fateen – a resident of Burqa village, while visiting her brother in Raymond prison.

Attack

At 22:30, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning as they escorting a group of settlers to visit a historical shrine during their raid into the village of Awarta and as a result left several civilians suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Settlement Activities

On 01/10/2022, a group of Israeli settlers razed an area estimated at 50 dunums of the citizens' lands belonging to the town of Hawara and the villages of Burin and Asira al-Qibliya, located near the settlement of "Yitzhar", in order to expand the settlement.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 10:15, a group of Israeli settlers was near the Masoudiya area (on the main road from Nablus - Jenin), and threw stones at cars passing by.
2. At 11:10 a group of Israeli settlers entered the agricultural lands of the citizens in the Jabal Atarout area in the town of Jama'in, where the townspeople managed to confront the settlers and force them to leave the area.
3. At 07:50 a group of Israeli settlers were present at the entrance to al-Lubban al-Sharqiya village, and obstructed the movement of citizens.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens.
2. At 15:00 and again at 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Marda village to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 02:10.
3. At 17:25, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Kifl Haris, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 02:10.

Raid

1. At 23:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided Marda village, stormed and searched 5 houses, and withdrew at 01:20.
2. At 00:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Kafr El-Deek, and conducted the patrol until 01:10.
3. At 00:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Bruqin and conducted a patrol.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to Tekoa town, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 10:15.
2. At 17:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Ush Ghorab area, east of Beit Sahour, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 18:45.
3. At 19:45, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of the Nashash area (the southern entrance to the city of Bethlehem), to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 22:30.

Raid

1. At 02:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Beit Sahour, detained 2 civilians, and withdrew at 05:00.
2. At 04:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem and the towns of Doha and Al-Khader, and detained 3 citizens (including a child) in Dheisheh camp, and withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

1. The two detainees in the city of Beit Saho Ruhma: Hussein Shomali and Uday Saleh Sadouq.
2. The 3 detainees in the Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem are: Muhammad Iyad Muhammad al-Masri, Bashar Naim al-Masri, and Muhammad Naim Muhammad al-Masri, 16 years old.

HEBRON

Raid

1. At 10:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Al-Karmel, stormed and searched 2 houses, and withdrew at 16:05.
2. At 13:10, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Ula, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 16:05.

Detention

At 14:50, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the old city of Hebron, citizen: Samar Abu Hammad, on the pretext that she had attempted to stab a soldier.

Temporary Detention

At 10:55, the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained the child: Ahmed Ayman Abu Taha, 16 years old, at the Mitary checkpoint on the Green Line south of the Green Line, and released him at 15:55.

Destruction of Property

1. At 10:55, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a road in the Marah Salman area near the "Telem" settlement, which is built on the lands of Tarqumiya town.
2. At 15:45, the Israeli occupation forces demolished an agricultural room owned by Khalil Tanina, in Tarqumia town under the pretext of not having a license.

Closure of main Roads

At 00:35, the Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance to Al-Arroub camp, in front of traffic, and reopened it at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun crossing - “Erez”: On 01/10/ 2022, it is partially open (for the passage of humanitarian cases, foreign journalists, workers of international humanitarian organizations, merchants, businessmen and travelers through the Al-Karama Crossing “Allenby” - previously coordinated for them).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 01/10/ 2022 is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel and cooking gas, and building materials for the private sector and for internationally funded projects).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 01/10/ 2022 is open in both directions (for citizens to leave and enter).
