WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On January 16th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  • On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu’fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Kasarat road located between Al-Ram and Qalandiya camp then searched residents and vehicles.
Attack
  • At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned at Shu’fat checkpoint fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  • At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ram junction fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  • At 14:00, Israeli forces detained Fawzi Abu Taya (A resident of Silwan neighbourhood).
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages.
  • On October 3rd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road located near “Bet El” settlement and leading to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks.
  • Since November 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main entrance of Sinjil and the east entrance of Al-Mughier village with cement blocks.At 18:50 on December 4th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main entrance of  Abboud with cement blocks.
  • On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 08:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 14:10.
  • At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah bridge located in North Bir Ziet then searched residents and vehicles until 20:00.
  • At 18:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Nathim then searched residents and vehicles until 19:00.
  • At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Tahta then searched residents and vehicles until 20:20.
  • At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ein Sinya village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At 21:20, Israeli forces raided Aboud then clashed with several residents.
  • At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Sinjil, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 01:30.
  • At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet until 04:10.
  • At 03:20, Israeli forces raided Qubar village and summoned Shu’ayeb Husni Yusef to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 03:45.
  • At 07:00, Israeli forces raided Budrous village and  set up 2 checkpoints at its entrances.

  • At 20:15, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Um Safa village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning

JENIN

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
  • Since the evening of November 25th 2012, Israeli forces closed the western entrance of Ya’bad.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Abu Da’if village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 22:35.
Raid
  •  At 17:30, Israeli forces raided Jalboun village.
Attack
  • At 16:25, Israeli forces positioned near Ya’bad junction fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Raid
  • At 10:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Far’a village.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  • At 11:15, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:10.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 15:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Quffin  then searched residents and vehicles.
  • At 15:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Baqa Al-Shariqya then searched residents and vehicles
Raid
  • At 11:15, Israeli forces raided Anabta.
  • At 12:50, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city until 13:00.
  • At 17:40, Israeli forces raided Kafr Sur village until 18:20

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  • Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  • In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  • Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mound.s
  • Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Raid
  • At dawn on January 16th 2016, Israeli forces raided Jit village and summoned Nihad Mufith Yamin to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
Demonstrations
  • At 16:00, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  • The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  • Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  • At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  • On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate  in the area.
Military Checkpoints
  • At 11:35, Israeli forces closed Huwarah checkpoint then at 18:10, intensified their restrictions at the checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:35.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 11:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “ Shavei Shomron” settlement junction then searched resident and vehicles .
  • At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint  at the North and South entrances of Huwara and impeded the free flow of traffic.
Raid
  • At 09:15, Israeli forces raided Qusra , Talfit and Jurish villages until 14:00.
  • At 17:35, Israeli forces raided Osirin village, clashed with several residents until 18:30.
Temporary Detention
  • At 19:55, Israeli forces positioned along the main road in Osirin village temporarily detained the child Ameed Ibrahim Adeli (16 years old) then released him after assaulting him.
Attack
  • At 16:35, Israeli forces positioned near “Yitmar” settlement located in south Beit Furiq fired stun and tear gas grenades toward several residents for alleged stoning.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  • On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
  • Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Closure
  • At 16:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles.
  • At 21:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road (90) in Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  • Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between  Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  • Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
  • Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
  •  Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
  • On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
  • Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  • At 15:30 on November 20th 2015, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Jinata and the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:10 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
  • At 18:00 on November 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Bararat junction located in Ras area in Beit Jallah with cement blocks.
  • At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
Raid
  • At 10:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Obidiya until 10:50.
  • At 18:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Khadr, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 20:00.
  • At 20:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Mashrou’ area located in Beit Sahour city until 20:55.
  • At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Duhisheh camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained a residents and summoned 3 residents: Nidal Na’im Abu Akr, Adnan Mohammad Al-Afandi and Ghassan Ibrahim Zawahereh to report to Israeli intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 05:00.
Detention
  • On January 15th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near Taqou’ detained the child: Nabeel Amjad Al-Sharif (17 years old){A resident of Dura in Hebron} for allagedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.
  • Israeli forces detained Hanadi Musa Al-Mughrabi in Al-Duhisheh camp
Confiscation of Property
  • At 11:30, Israeli forces bulldozer owned by Ahmad Mahmoud Al-Shiekh as it was paving a road in Nihalin village.

HEBRON

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  • Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Thahiriya and Al-Samoa’ towns, Al-‘Arrub refugee camp, and Al-Tuwani and Al-Karmil villages. 
  • The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  • The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
  • At 05:50 on November 5th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance leading Farsh Al-Hawa area in Hebron with Cement blocks.
  • At 10:30 on November 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the junction located near “Hagi” settlement located in south Hebron with cement blocks.
  • At 21:00 on November 11th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Beit Awwa and Al-Majd village with cement block and dirt mounds.
  • At 15:45 on November 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed Al-Samiya village junction located at the west entrance of Al-Samou’ with cement blocks.
  • On November 15th 2015 , Israeli forces closed  the entrances of Khliat Al-Miya and Al Dirat and the 2 bypass roads leading  east Ytta with cement blocks.
  • On November 23rd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Qom village located in North Beit Awwa with Cement blocks.
  • On December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed a checkpoint located along Al-Shuhada road located in the old city of Hebron and prevented residents from passing through the checkpoint  and redirected traffic through a road near the entrance of Jabal Al-Rahma .
  • On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area  located in the  the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.
  • At 01:45 on January 8th 2016, Israeli forces closed the entrances of Sa\ir and Al-Shiyoukh towns and prevented residents from entering or exiting the area with the exception of emergency health cases.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 14:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na’im then searched residents and vehicles.
  • At 16:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Halhoul bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At dawn on January 16th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa, summoned Nidal Mahmoud Masalmeh to report to Israeli intelligence for questioning and again at 01:15 on January 17th 2016 detained a Palestinian intelligence force Officer after storming his home the withdrew at 04:45.
  • At dawn on January 16th 2016, Israeli forces raided Sa’ir village and detained a resident.
Attack
  • At 11:50, Israeli forces positioned in the south area of Hebron city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards residents for alleged stoning.
  • At 12:15,Israeli forces positioned in Tal’at Abu Hadeed area located in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes and assaulted Thiyab Othman Al-Karaki leaving him hospitalised with contusions.
Detention
  • At 17:00, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Sa’id Abu Ramouz and Yunis Mohammad Al-Kurdi in the old city of Hebron.
  • Israeli forces detained Ra’fat Hussien Masalmeh {A  Palestinian intelligence force Officer} in Beit Awwa.
  • Israeli forces detained Faheem Mahmoud Shaladeh in Sa’ir.
Temporary Detention
  • At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned in the old city of Hebron temporarily detained Wissam Ramadan Abu Ramouz then released him at 00:45.
  • At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned in Tal’at Abu Hadeed area located in the old city of Hebron temporarily detained Judi Abdel-Rahim Sarbil then released him at a later time.
House Occupation
  • At 20:20, Israeli forces stormed the outskirts of Al-Aroub camp and occupied a home owned by Ribhi Abdel-Rahman Jawabra and converted its rooftop into a military post then withdrew at 22:40.
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

Attack
  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza
  • Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza and Khan Yunis.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Beit Hanun (Erez) is closed.
Attack
  • At 08:15, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  • Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack
  • At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents in east Al-Buriej camp as they were protesting against Israeli assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and against Palestinian citizens and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
  • At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land  in east Al-Masdar town in Deir Al-Balah.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack
  • At 08:00, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  • Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  • Sufa Crossing is closed
  • Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing closed
