WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. On the evening of January 16th 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and summoned Khalil Ahmad Mahmoud to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
2. At 12:50,Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town until 23:30.
3. At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town until 05:50.

Detention

1. At dawn on January 16th 2020, Israeli forces detained 3 residents:Ahmad Saad Mustafa, Mohammed Haitham Mustafa, and Faisal Louay Obeid during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.
2. On January 16th 2020, Israeli forces detained Nitham Abu Ramouz {a resident of Jerusalem city} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Deportation

On January 16th 2020,Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning 3 residents: Sami Fatiha {a period of 1 week}, Yacoub Mohammad Al-Daba' {a period of 5 months} and Ahmad Mohammad Darbas {a period of 1 week} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque in the old city of Jerusalem as a condition for their release at an earlier time.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 09:30,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
2. On January 16th 2020, Israeli Police forces stormed Bab Al-Rahma prayer area in Al-Aqsa mosque compound and searched the area.
3. At dawn on January 17th 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque , chased worshipers inside the mosque and fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several worshipers and as a result injured 5 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

At dawn on January 17th 2020, Israeli Police forces fired rubber coated steel bullets towards several worshipers during dawn prayers as they stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result injured 5 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 5 unidentified residents as they fired rubber coated steel bullets towards worshiper in Al-Aqsa mosque compound during dawn prayers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 20:55, Israeli forces raided Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities unti 02:20.
2. At 21:35, Israeli forces raided Deir Nitham village and detained a child.
3. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp until 03:35.

Detention

Israeli forces detained the child: Osama Mohammad Al-Tamimi {17 years old} in Deir Nitham village.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town ,Kafrit and Bi'r Al-Basha villages until 13:35.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town until 01:40.
3. At 03:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Zababdat town until 08:00.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 19:45,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Enav military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 21:30.

QALQILIYA

Raid

At 07:30, Israeli forces raided Hajjat village then stormed and searched a home.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nussirat village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Sara village until 13:10.
2. At 23:45, Israeli forces raided Huwara and Jama'in towns and Orif and Einbuis villages until 03:35.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Raid

At 06:50, Israeli forces raided Jericho city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed the Monistary of Temptation then withdrew at a later time.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jalla city, detained a resident then withdrew at 11:55.
2. At 20:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Um Al-Rakaba area located in south Al-Khader town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 17:55, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.
2. At 04:40, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and Abu Njeim village then detained 5 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the entrance of Beit Jalla city detained Raed Abdel-Rahman Ju'idi {a resident of Beit Jalla city}.
2. Israeli forces detained 5 residents:Ramzi Mohammed Abdullah al-Harimi{a residents of Bethlehem city}, Abdullah Ibrahim Mohammed Jawarish {a residents of Bethlehem city}, Zaid Mohammed Issa Al-Heraimi {a residents of Abu Njeim village}, Mohammed Ali Rabaia {a residents of Abu Njeim village}, Sultan al-Harimi {a residents of Abu Njeim village} during their raid into Bethlehem city and Abu Njeim village.

House Demolition

On January 16th 2020, Israeli forces demolished a tent and a mobile home {caravan} in addition to fencing owned by Mohammad Al-Khad'at located in Bir Awnat area in Beit Jalla city for allegedly being built in Area C which is under Israeli Military and Administrative control.

Destruction of Property

1. On January 16th 2020, Israeli forces demolished a concerete fence owned by Mohammad Zarinat in Bir Awnat area in Beit Jalla city for allegedly being built with out a license.
2. On January 16th 2020, Israeli forces levelled 2 roads locatd in Ein Juzat area in Al-Waljat village.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Samou' town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1.At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town until 11:20.
2. At 10:10, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 17:20.
3. At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Deir Samit village until 03:05.
4. At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Dura town and Khursa village.

Detention

At 09:50, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Eyad Ruba'i and Zakariya Haytham Ruba'i in Al-Far'iyat village located in east Yatta town.

House Demolition

At 09:50, Israeli forces demolished a home {150 m2} owned by Hussien Mohammad Salama Ruba'i located in Al-Dirat area loacted in east Yatta for allegedly being built without a license during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residnts who attempted to prevent the demolition of the home.

Destruction of Property

1.At 09:10, Israeli forces demolished the foundatoins of a school {under construction} located in Birien village which is located in north east Yatta town for allegdly being built without a license.
2. On January 16th 2020, Israeli forces located near Zif village junction forced Ali Issa Abu Arram to demolish his carwash and remove equipment after receiving a military order for the demolition in order to aviode paying a fine in the event that Israeli forces demolish the home for allegedly being built without a license.

Attack

1. At 09:50, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Dirat area loacted in east Yatta town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent a home from being demolished.
2.On the evening of January 16th 2020, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Thaher area located in Beit Ummar town and near "Karmi Tsur" settlement fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza and Central Gaza districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
•Israeli Military aircraft's broke the ceasefire agreement by launching 4 missiles {during 2 consecutive airstrikes} towards North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 08:00 on January 16th 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents near the border fence in north Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 10:30 on January 16th 2020,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

Air Strike

1. At 23:00 on January 16th 2020,Israeli military aircraft's launched 2 missiles towards an open area in north Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 23:05 on January 16th 2020,,Israeli military aircraft's launched 2 missiles towards an open area in north Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 08:00 on January 16th 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 09:30 on January 16th 2020,Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 23:10 on January 16th 2020,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
