WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned near Bab Al-Amoud area in the old city of Jerusalem detained Mohammad Husam Abu Ramouz.
2. At 13:20, Israeli forces detained 3 residents:Mohammed Abu Shosha, Mounir Asaad Fouad Al-Basti and Jihad Shalabi in Jerusalem city.
3. At 20:20, Israeli forces detained Tawfiq Najeeb in the old city of Jerusalem.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

At 01:35, Israeli raided Beit Liqya town.

Attack

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned near Deir Nitham village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

JENIN

Raid

At 12:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Tayba and Rumana villages until 13:30.

Temporary Detention

On the evening of January 17th 2020, Israeli forces temporaraily detained the child Zied Rabah Rushdi Yaseen {10 years old} in Annin village for allegedly being too close to the border fence then released him after he was questioned by Israeli Intellegnce officers.

QALQILIYA

Raid

1. At 09:40, Israeli forces raided Baat Al-Hatab village, stormed and searched a mosque then tookphotograph's of the homes interior.
2. At 13:00, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city until 14:30.

Attack

At 13:00,Israeli forces positioned at the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed by the Israeli Military} fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {protesting against the continued closure} for alleged stoning and as a result injured 3 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 3 unidentified residents during clashes in Kafr Qaddum village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:40, Israeli forces stormed a mosque and took photos of the mosques interior during their raid into Baqat Al-Hatab village.

NABLUS

Raid

1.At 13:00, Israeli forces raided Madma village until 15:00.
2. At 15:30, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Shamaliya town.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 13:40,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1.On the morning of January 17th 2020, Israeli forces raided Jericho city then stormed and searched a home.
2. At 21:10, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village.

Detention

At 22:30, Israeli forces detained Baha Hassan Al-Jahalin {a resident of Al-Jiftlik vllage}.

HEBRON

Attack

At 14:45 and 21:20,Israeli forces positioned near Al-Arrub camp fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire,launching stun and tear gas canisters from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

At 14:15 on January 17th 2020,,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 19:30 on January 17th 2020, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards a group of residents attempting to fly incendiary kites near the border fence in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 15:30 on January 17th 2020,,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
