DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. At dawn on 01/18/2022, the Israeli occupation forces detained 2 citizens: Ward al-Ghoul and Saif Owais in the Ras al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem.
2. At 13:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Rami Al-Fakhouri (one of the doors leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Bab Hatta area in the Old City of Jerusalem.
3. At 14:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Shuafat camp in Jerusalem detained the citizen: Imad Ibrahim Mustafa - residents of Bedouin town.

Deportation

On 01/18/ 2022, the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Abdullah Akramawi – a resident of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, from his home for 3 days, and a fine of 500 shekels, as a condition for his release after she had arrested him earlier.

House Demolition

1. On 01/18/2022, the Israeli occupation authorities in the town of Beit Hanina forced the citizen: Jalal Al-Rajabi to personally demolish his 50-square-meter house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event of the demolition by the occupation authorities under the pretext of not having a license.
2. On the evening of 01/18/ 2022, the Israeli occupation authorities in the Shuafat camp in Jerusalem forced the citizen: Muhammad Ali to personally demolish his house (for the second time in a row), after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the authorities Occupation with the demolition process, on the pretext of not having a license.
3. At 03:00, the Israeli occupation forces demolished two houses owned by the Salhia family in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, and displaced 13 family members in the cold and rainy weather.

Destruction of Property

1. On 01/18/ 2022, the Israeli occupation authorities in Shuafat camp in Jerusalem forced a unidentified citizen to demolish his shop (under construction).
2. On the evening of 01/18/2022, the Israeli occupation authorities in the Jabal Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem forced the citizen: Malek Khalayleh to personally demolish his shop (under construction), after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the authorities Occupation in the process of demolition, on the pretext of not having a license.

Settlers Attacks

On the evening of 01/18/ 2022, a group of settlers was present in the vicinity of the Mukhmas village roundabout, and obstructed the movement of citizens' vehicles.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, groups of extremist Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh (near the “Beit El” settlement), to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens.
2. At 16:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.

Raid

1. At 09:30, the Israeli occupation forces raidedthe village of Deir Nidham, stormed the village's basic school, attacked the teaching staff while they were trying to confront the occupation, and detained 2 students from inside the classrooms.
2. At 10:50, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Bitlo and arrested a citizen.
3. At 01:55, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Rima, and handed the citizen: Ali Thalji Al-Khatib a notice to review the Israeli intelligence, and withdrew at 03:05.
4. At 02:40, the Israeli occupation forces raided al-Jalazun camp, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 05:25.

Detention

1. The two detainees in the village of Deir Nizam are: Ramez Muhammad Al-Tamimi and Ahmed Abdul-Ghani Al-Tamimi.
2. The detainee in the village of Bitello is: Muhannad Wafik Bazzar.
3. The detainee in the village of Deir Nizam is: Abdullah Jamal Mubarak.

Assault on Educational sector

At 09:30, the Israeli occupation forces in Deir Nidham village stormed the village's basic school, assaulted the teaching staff, and detained 2 of its students from inside the classrooms.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint on the Arab-American University road, detained a university student, and withdrew at 10:20.

Raid

At 04:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Burqin, Jaba, and the village of Al-Arqa, and detained 6 citizens.

Detention

1. The detainee at the Flying checkpoint on the Arab-American University road is: University student Ibrahim Ahmed Abu Mualla, resident of Qabatiya town.
2. The 6 detainees in the towns of Burqin, Jabaa and the village of al-Arqa are: Mustafa Sobh Abu al-Hol – a resident of Burqin town, Mahdi Assi – a resident of Burqin town, Murad Farid Balsha – a resident of Jaba' town, Sufyan Adnan Fakhoury – a resident of Jaba' town, Ezz Bassam Hamamra – a resident The town of Jaba, and Izz al-Din Jamil Muhammad Saleh – a resident of the village of al-Arqa.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 08:30, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Shufa checkpoint, and obstructed traffic.

QALQILIYA

Raid

At 04:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Ezbet Salman, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 07:00.

Destruction of Property

On 01/18/2022, the Israeli occupation forces demolished an agricultural room owned by Rizk Farid Abu Saad - residents of Qalqilya in the village of Al-Nabi Elias, under the pretext of not having a license.

NABLUS

Raid

At 15:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Sebastia.

Attack

On the evening of 01/18/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the town of Beita fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens while they were trying to confront a settler’s march that started from the Za’tara Junction checkpoint towards the Hawara checkpoint, as a result of which 28 civilians suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to Yasuf village, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 21:40.

Raid

At 13:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Haris, and demolished a den - under construction, and withdrew at 16:05.

Destruction of Property

At 13:30, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a den - under construction near the western entrance to the village, owned by Jamil Muhammad Daoud Al-Sabti during their raid into Haris village, under the pretext of not having a license.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:10, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of the Nashash area (the southern entrance to the city of Bethlehem), to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 22:10.

Attack

At 19:20, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the Aida camp in Bethlehem, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

At 21:00, a group of Israeli settlers was present at the junction of the settlement of "Kfar Etzion", and closed the junction of the settlement and the main street of Jerusalem - Hebron, chanted racist slogans against the Palestinians, and attempted to attack citizens' vehicles.

HEBRON

Raid

At dawn on 01/19/2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Ummar, and detained 2 civilians (including a child).

Detention

The two detainees in the town of Beit Ummar are: Ahed Abu Ayyash {17years old}, and Muhammad Rifaat al-Salibi.

Settlers Attacks

On 01/18/ 2022, a group of Israeli settlers in the Al-Rkeez area, southeast of Yatta, uprooted 30 olive groves planted on an area of 2 dunums, and stole them.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the cease-fire agreement by storming our areas in the governorates of North Gaza and Khan Yunis, and by firing from their positions on the Green Line towards Khan Yunis governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun crossing - “Erez”: On 01/18/ 2022, it is partially open (for the passage of humanitarian cases, foreign journalists, workers of international humanitarian organizations, merchants, businessmen and travelers through the Al-Karama Crossing “Allenby” - previously coordinated for them).

Raid

At 08:20 on 01/18/2022, several vehicles and bulldozers of the Israeli occupation army, covered by reconnaissance aircraft, stormed our areas, about 70 meters deep, north of Beit Lahia, and carried out excavation and bulldozing work, and withdrew at 13:00.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

: At 08:15 on 01/18/2022, several vehicles and bulldozers of the Israeli occupation army, covered by reconnaissance planes, stormed our areas about 70 meters deep east of the town of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis, and carried out excavation and bulldozing work, and withdrew at 13:00.

Attack

At 13:00 on 01/18/2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 01/18/ 2022 is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel and cooking gas, and building materials for the private sector and for internationally funded projects).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 01/18/ 2022 is open in both directions (for citizens to leave and enter).
