WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 08:45, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Falah Yusef Al-Shiekh {A resident of Biddu town}.
2. At 09:00, Israeli forces detained Nathir Mustafa Abdel-Qadder Rabi' {A resident of Beit Annan town}.
3. On the evening of January 20th 2019, Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Thear Masaudat, Nour Assuf, Muntassir Siyam and Yazan Siyam {All are residents of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
4. On the evening of January 20th 2019, Israeli forces detained Mu'tasim Masaudat {A resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
5. Israeli forces detained Sami Abu Ghaliya in Al-Eizariya town.

Deportation

On January 20th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders to 6 residents {including 5 Security Guards for Al-Aqsa mosque compound} banning them from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem : Ahmad Abu Alia, Fadi Alian, Louai Abu Saad (6 months), Yehia Shehadeh, Salman Abu Mayala (for 4 months) {Security Guards for Al-Aqsa mosque compound}, and Awad Salaymeh (for 6 months) as a condition for their release after being detained at an earlier time..

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On January 20th 2019, the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for the staff of international organizations and those holding from VIP and PMC cardholders only. According to schedule of specific hours (Fridays: 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday: 18:00 to 22:00, Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 to 22:00) .

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Sinya village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 09:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between Sinjil town and Jilijliya village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16;15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Tayba town junction {along the main road connecting Ramallah & Al-Bireh district with Jericho district} and detained a resident.
4. At 20:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.

Raid

1. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Deir Abu Mash'al village, clashed with several residents as the stormed and searched several homes then detained a resident.
2. At 04:15, Israeli forces raided Kobar town until 04:40.
3. At 04:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ni'ma village then stormed and searched a home.
4. At 04:40, Israeli forces raided Abu Shikhidum village and detained a resident.
5. At 05:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Mughier village and detained 7 residents.
6. At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Beit Liqya town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 21:30, Israeli forces detained Uday Nikhlat {A resident of Al-Jalazoun camp} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at Al-Tayba town junction {along the main road connecting Ramallah & Al-Bireh district with Jericho district} detained Muntassir Jihad Al-Haj Mohammad {A resident of Al-Mughier village}.
3. Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Ayoub Zahar in Deir Abu Mash'al village.
4. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Oda Al-Dudat in Abu Shikhidum village.
5. Israeli forces detained 7 residents: Ahmad Abdullah Abu Alia, Assem Ahmad Abu Alia, Mahmoud Abdullah Haj Mohammed, Moatasem Omar Abu Alia, Hamdi Ziad Abu Alia, Jumaa Raad Abu Aliya and Hamdi Juma Na'asan in Al-Mughier village.
6. Israeli forces detained Assad Nimr Mafarja in Beit Liqya town.

Attack

At 03:45, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Deir Abu Mash'al town.

Closure of main Roads

At 22:30, Israeli forces closed the steel entrance gate in Deir Abu Mash'al village and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at 01:10.

JENIN

Settlers Attacks

At 23:15, Israeli settlers riding in more than 40 vehicles stormed Tarsiliya settlement outpost {which was previously abandoned} and performed Talmudic rituals in the area then withdrew at 02:15.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 08:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Temporary Detention

At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned at Tayassir military checkpoint temporarily detained Nu'man Ahmad Mohammad Abu Hamad {A resident of Aqaba town} then released him at a later time.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 12:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Enav military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1. At 15:35, Israeli forces raided Beit Lid town and Safarin village until 17:30.
2. At 00:20, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers raided Allar town, stormed a home and partially demolished a vehicle repair shop then detained a resident.
3. At 03:15, Israeli forces raided Baqa Al-Sharqiya town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Izzat Makawi Shadid in Allar town.
2. Israeli forces detained Hikmat Fawzi Mohammad Khalaf in Baqa Al-Sharqiya town.

Destruction of Property

At 00:20, Israeli forces demolished a vehicle repair shop owned by Izat Mikawi Shadid during their raid into Allar town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:45 and again at 19:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles until 22:20.
2. At 19:10, Israeli forces set up 4 military checkpoints at the entrances of Azzun and Hablat town, Izbit Al-Tabib and Wadi Rasha villages then searched residents and vehicles until 22:20.

Raid

1. At 20:50, Israeli forces raided Wadi Al-Rasha village and stormed several storage rooms.
2. At 00:45, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village, stormed and searched 3 homes and detained a Preventive Security Force officer then withdrew at 04:40.
3.At 07:00, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town and And distributed leaflets (threatening residents with military actions, raids and house searches) in the event of continued stone throwing at the occupation forces charged with guarding the wall.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Samih Ishtawi {a Preventive Security Force officer} in Kafr Qaddum village.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 09:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 10:40.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Nablus city and Assira Al-Shamaliya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Muraba'a area junction {located at the entrance of Tel village} then searched residents and vehicles until 17:55.

Raid

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces raided Iraq Burin village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 15:50.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Nablus city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Joseph's Tomb, clashed with several residents and as a result injured a resident, detained another resident then withdrew at 03:45.
3. At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Zuwata village, stormed the home of Ameer Ishtaya, confiscated his vehicle and temporarily detained his wife: Eman Jamal Mansour {A Lawyer} then released her at a later time.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Majdi Al-Qutb in Nablus city.

Temporary Detention

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces temporarily detained Eman Jamal Mansour {A Lawyer} during their raid into Zuwata village then released her at a later time.

Attack

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Iraq Burin village.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Joseph's Tomb during their raid into Nablus city.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Imarn Eid Bani Minah during clashes in Nablus city.

Confiscation of Property

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Ameer Ishtaya {A Palestinian Detainee} during their raid into Zuwata village.

Settlers Violence

At 21:45, a group of Israeli settlers positioned along the main road connecting Nablus and Jenin {located near "Homish" settlement outpost which was abandoned} and stoned vehicle travelling in the area.

SALFIT

Raid

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Layth Abdallah Mir'i in Qarwat Bani Hassan town.

JERICHO

Raid

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village, stormed and searched a home {consisting of 2 floors} owned by Mohammad Kamal Shalalfat and Hytham Kamal Shalalfat and confiscated 10000 NIS.

Confiscation of Property

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces confiscated 10000 NIS from the homes of Mohammad Kamal Shalalfat and Hytham Kamal Shalalfat during their raid into Fasayil village.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

1. At 08:15 and again at 23:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Jalla city then stormed and searched a home.
2. At 22:05, Israeli forces raided Nihalin village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 22:50.
3. At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town and detained 3 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Shaher Issa Taqatqa, Ahmad Khalid Taqatqa and Eyad Ahmad Taqatqa in Beit Fajjar town.

Attack

At 22:05, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Nihalin village.

Injuries

At 07:50 on January 20th 2019, Shadi Ahmad Ziyad {A resident of Nihalin village} was hospitalized with a fractured foot after falling while being chased by Israeli forces near Jaba' military checkpoint in Jerusalem district.

Settlers Attacks

At 20:40, a group of Israeli settlers driving 3 vehicles stormed agricultural land in Um Salmona village, installed 3 tents and planted several trees in the area of 6 dunums land which is owned by Waleed Abu Hamad and Abdallah Yusef in an attempt to confiscate it then withdrew at 21:40.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na'im town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 17:35, Israeli forces raided Halhul town, detained a civil defense force officer then withdrew at 22:50.
2. At 18:40, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town until 20:30.
3.At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town then stormed and searched a home.
4. At dawn on January 21st 2019,Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa town and detained a resident.
5. At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town and detained a resident.
6. At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Jawad Al-Wawi {a civil defense force officer} in Halhul town.
2. Israeli forces detained Zaher Yasser Masalmat in Beit Awwa town.
3. Israeli forces detained Sari Salah Al-Faroukh in Sa'ir town.
4. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ammar Mohammad Jawabrat and Shawqi Al-Khatib in Al-Arrub camp.

Injuries

At 21:50, Mohammad Abdel-Majid Al-Rajabi was hospitalized with contusions after falling while being chased by Israeli forces near Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in the old city of Hebron.

Closure of main Roads

At 16:50, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Al-Huwar area {located at the North entrance of Halhul town} and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 08:30 on January 20th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

At 08:00 on January 20th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 10:30 on January 20th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in north east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 13:30 on January 20th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in North east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 19:00 on January 20th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects..
