WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At dawn on 20/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Al-Eizariya and detained 2 citizens (brothers).
2. At 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Issawiya village and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At 20:00 on 19/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Muhammad Najeh Salem Salah El-Din during their raid into the town of Hizma (in addition to those mentioned in the previous report).
2. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained: Inaam Khadour - a resident of Bado town.
3. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Dawood Abu Al-Hawa - a resident of Jerusalem.
4. At 05:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem detained Wajih Abu Sbaitan and Musa Abu Ghanem.
5. The two detainees in the town of Al-Eizariya are: Bashar Ismail Al-Shawa and his brother, Raafat.
6. The detainee in the village of Al-Issawiya is: Muhammad Nayef Waseem Ubai

Temporary Detention

On 20/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at at the Qalandia military checkpoint detained 2 citizens: Major General - Bilal Al-Natsheh and Moaz Al-Ashhab (one of them is the Secretary-General of the National People's Congress of Jerusalem) and released them at a later time.

Settlement Activities

On 20/01/2021, the occupation authorities issued tenders to build 2572 new settlement housing units in 7 settlements (of which 460 housing units are in the settlements established in the Jerusalem Governorate, and 2112 housing units in the settlements established in the rest of the West Bank governorates), and among the settlements that will be built It includes the settlements of "Pisgat Zeev" and "Har Homa" in Jerusalem, within the territories occupied in 1967.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Ein Yabroud village bridge, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 04:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided Kober town, detained 4 citizens, and withdrew at 06:45.
2. At dawn, 21/01/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Al-Bireh, and clashes took place with the citizens, and detained a citizen.
3. At dawn, 21/01/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Saffa, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The 4 detainees in the town of Kober are: Alaa Ali Waheed Al-Barghouti, Mohi Wissam Al-Barghouti, Nasim Abd Al-Salam Al-Barghouti, and Jamil Daraghmeh.
2. The detainee in Al-Bireh is: Amal Nakhleh.
3. The detainee in the village of Saffa is: Samir Khader.

Attack

At dawn on 21/01/2021, during their raid into the city of Al-Bireh, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result wounded a journalist during his coverage of the confrontations.

Injuries

Muhammad Turkman {a journalist} was wounded by Israeli occupation forces during his press coverage of the clashes in the city of Al-Bireh.

JENIN

Raid

1. At dawn, 21/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Ya'bad, and detained a citizen.
2. At dawn, 21/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Qabatiya, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The detainee in the town of Ya'bad is: Hussein Thabet Ba'ajawi.
2. The detainee in the town of Qabatiya is: Muhammad Asaad Nazal.

TULKAREM

Detention

At 09:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Malek Abdul-Jabbar Tayseer Ad al-Dayem - a resident of Anabta town, while reporting to the Israeli intelligence, based on prior notification.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to Qalqilya, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 17:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Azzun, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Killings

On the evening of 20/01/2021, the prisoner: Maher Deeb Ibrahim Sa`sa, 45 years old, resident of Qalqilya, was killed in Rimonim prison due to Israeli medical negligence as he was suffering from diseases and health problems.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 14:30, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Zaatarah Junction Checkpoint, and obstructed traffic

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Salfit, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:50 and again at 20:10, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho city to search cars and verify citizens' identities

Raid

At 02:55,the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Jericho, and confrontations took place with citizens as they stormed a number of houses, detained 2 citizens, and withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

The two detainees in Jericho are: Mahmoud Arafat Galaita and Ahmed Al-Mimi.

Attack

At 02:55, the Israeli occupation forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizen for alleged stoning as they stormed a number of homes during their raid into the city of Al-Bireh .

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 13:10.
2. At 15:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Beit Fajar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 17:55.
3. At 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the Al-Nashash area junction (the southern entrance to Bethlehem), to search cars and check citizens' identities until 20:35.

HEBRON

Raid

1. At 02:30,the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Ummar, and arrested 2 citizens (brothers).
2. At 04:35, the Israeli occupation forces raided Hebron and detained 4 civilians.
3. At dawn 21/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces raided Surif town and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The two detainees in the town of Beit Ummar are: Ismail Hosni Zaqeq and his brother Nidal.
2. The 4 detainees in Hebron are: Muhammad Maher Badr, Muhannad Asaad al-Tawil, Diaa Hisham Zahdeh, and Arafat al-Qawasmi.
3. The detainee in Surif is: Abd al-Rahman Hazem Hadoush.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the ceasefire, firing from their positions on the Green Line in the northern Gaza and Rafah governorates.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": on 01.20 2021 is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

At 13:15 on 20/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of the town of Beit Hanoun.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: 20/01/2021 is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs, goods and building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 20/01/2021 is closed.
