WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Um Al-Lahm village located near Qutna village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes and detained a resident.
2. At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Anata and Hizma towns.

Detention

1. At 20:00, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Ghayth in Batn Al-Hawa area in Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem city.
2. Israeli forces detained Sultan Nour Al-Din Obied in Al-Eisawiya village.

Deportation

At 11:00, Israeli Authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning Khalil Al-Tarhouni {A Security Guard at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound} from Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 15 days as a condition for his release from Israeli Police detention at an earlier time.

Temporary Detention

At 19:00, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem issued a Home detention order for Mohammad Ali Abu Taya {A resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city} for a period of 5 days as a condition for his release after being detained earlier.

Attack

1. At 19:20, Israeli forces positioned in Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned in Ein Al-Louz and Bi'r Ayoub area's in Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 22:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed several homes during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Um Safa village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 11:50 and again at 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles
3. At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Rantis and Shuqba villages then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At dawn on January 21st 2018, Israeli forces raided Khirbeit Abu Falah village and summoned Khalid Bahjat Naji Sarour to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.
2. At 09:55, Israeli forces raided Abu Shkhedium and Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village until 10:50.
3. At 12:45, Israeli Police forces raided Al-Mughier village until 13:00.
4. At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village, detained a resident and served a military order for the demolition and removal of caravan placed in front of his home.
5. At dawn on January 22nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Khirbithat Al-Misbah village and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Amjad Faraj in Kafr Malik village.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Youssef Khaled Al-Habil, and Hadeifa Issa Al-Habil in Khirbithat Al-Misbah village.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Hadad Al-Siyahiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 11:15, Israeli forces raided Silat Al-Thaher town then stormed and searched several homes and merchant shops.
2. At dawn on January 22nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Jenin city and detained a resident after storming and searching his home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mu'men Husam Tuqan in Jenin city.

TUBAS

Settlers Attacks

On January 21st 2018, a Israeli settler from "Rotim" settlement located in Al-Farisiya area located in the North Jordan valley chased away several Shepard's while they were herding their live stock in the area.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 02:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Kafriyat road {which connects Tulkarem and Qalqiliya districts} and detained a resident.

Raid

At 04:30, Israeli forces raided Sayda village, detained a Preventive Security Forces officer then withdrew at 06:25.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint on Al-Kafriyat road {which connects Tulkarem and Qalqiliya districts} detained Tariq Fa'eq Abdallah {A resident of Tulkarem city}.
2. Israeli forces detained Issa Mohammad Rabah Ali Al-Ashqar in Sayda village.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 07:30 on January 21st 2018, Israeli forces set up 5 checkpoints at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city, at the North entrance of Azzun town,along the main road connecting Jayyous, Azzun and Kafr Al-Jamal towns, the main road connecting Jayyous town and Sier village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 07:30 on January 21st 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nabi Eliyas village and summoned the child: Obada Salah Khalid {13 years old} to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.
3. At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 14:10, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town.

Attack

At 19:10, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Jayyous town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

1. At 14:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Shave Shamron" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 15:40.
2. At 17:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 13:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sabastiya village then searched residents and vehicles until 15:40.
2. At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem districts} then searched residents and vehicles until 16:20.

Detention

At dawn on January 22nd 2018, Israeli forces positioned at a Military checkpoint in south Nablus city detained Mohammad Abu Hantash {A resident of Balata camp}.

Confiscation of Property

At 17:30, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara Military checkpoint confiscated 3 vehicles and took them to Huwara military base.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Iskaka village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 03:05, Israeli forces raided Salfit city and detained a PLC member then withdrew at 04:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Dr. Omar Abdel-Raziq {A PLC member} in Salfit city.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Khader town then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 10:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 11:55.
3. At 14:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area located at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 15:30.

Raid

1. At 08:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town until 13:30.
2. At 19:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Walja village and served a military order for the demolition of a storage room on land owned by Yasser Awadallah Khalifa.
3. At 19:35, Israeli forces raided Betar village and detained 2 residents.
4. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Jallah city and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 17:00, Israeli forces detained the child: Geuvara Ahmad Mahmoud Musa Salah {16 years old} {A resident of Al-Khader town} near Al-Khader town.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Rashid Nu'man Mu'amar and Abdel-Hadi Nu'man Mu'amar in Betar village.
3. Israeli forces detained Nafith Othman Shihadeh in Beit Jallah city.

Temporary Detention

1. At 15:50, Israeli forces temporarily detained Kamal Abdel-Azziz Khalil Da'ajnah {57 years old}{A resident of Al-Aza camp in Bethlehem city} as he was visiting his son in Israeli prisons then released him at 23:00.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Khader town temporarily detained Ahmad Mahmoud Musa Salah {A resident of Al-Khader town} then released him at 00:25.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:00, Israeli forces set up 4 checkpoints at the entrance of Al-Nabi Yunis area {located along the main road connecting Hebron and Bethlehem}, at the south entrance of Hebron city, at the entrances of Ithna town and Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
2. At 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ithna town then searched residents and vehicles until 20:50.

Raid

At 22:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp.

Detention

At 18:30, Israeli forces detained Maisa Ahmad Yunis Al-Shabati {A resident of Beit Ulla town} as she was reporting to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning based on a prior summon.

Temporary Detention

On the morning of January 21st 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Military checkpoint {160} in the old city of Hebron temporarily detained the child: Abd Shafiq Ghayth {16 years old}{A resident of Hebron city} then released him at 18:00.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.
•Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 07:30 on January 21st 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 02:10 on January 22nd 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Detention

At 19:40 on January 21st 2018, Israeli forces detained 2 unidentified resiednts in east Al-Qarara town as they attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
