WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

At 20:25, Israeli forces closed Qalandiya military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic after a unidentified resident threw a Molotov fire bomb towards Israeli soldiers positioned at the checkpoint then reopened it at 22:30.

Detention

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces detained Mustafa Abu Layel {A resident of Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
2. On the evening of January 21st 2019, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Samer Jamjoum and Abdallah Al-Zaghal {Both are residents of Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.

Assault on medical sector

At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Makkassid Charitable Hospital in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city and issued a military order preventing a reception commemorating the 50 year anniversary of the Hospitals establishment which was supposed to be held in the College of Medicine building and hosted by Adnan Al-Hussieni {the Palestinian Authority Minister of Jerusalem Affair }, Adnan Ghayth {The Palestinian Authority Governor of Jerusalem district}, and Assad Al-Rimlawi {Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health} then proceeded to forcibly remove everyone in attendance and prevented the event from taking place then temporarily detained and assaulted 2 residents then released them at 16:30.

Temporary Detention

At 10:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 residents: Ahed Al-Rashq and Sa'ed Rakkan as they shut down a reception commemorating the 50 year anniversary of the Hospitals establishment which was supposed to be held in the College of Medicine building at Al-Makkassid Charitable Hospital in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city then released them at 16:30.

Destruction of Property

On January 21st 2019, Israeli forces stormed Al-Eisawiya village and forced Hytham Mohammad Mustafa to demolish a vehicle repair shop he owns for allegedly being built with out a licence and fined him 8000 NIS{in the event that the Israeli forces demolish the home}.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 09:30, a group of employees from the Israeli Ministry of Antiquities under the protection of Israeli Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and took photograph's of the compound and took measurements of the entrance gates leading to Al-Aqsa mosque.
2. At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On January 21st 2019, the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for the staff of international organizations and those holding from VIP and PMC cardholders only. According to schedule of specific hours (Fridays: 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday: 18:00 to 22:00, Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 to 22:00) .

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Beit Ur Al-Tahta and Beit Ur Al-Fawqa village then searched residents and vehicles until 11:30.
2. At 08:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles until 15:35.
3. At 21:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Kafr Malik village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 15:50, Israeli forces raided Rantis village and installed a steel gate at the village east entrance then withdrew at 16:10.
2. At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Silwad town, stormed and searched several homes, detained a resident and confiscated 3200 NIS from the home of Ahed Samirat which is owned by the municipality.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Adam Fathi Hazim in Silwad town.

Confiscation of Property

At 02:25, Israeli forces confiscated 3200 NIS from the home of Ahed Samirat during their raid into Silwad town.

Settlers Attacks

At 17:30, a group of Israeli settlers positioned along the main road connecting Turmus'aya town and Al-Mugheir village stoned vehicles which were travelling in the area.

TULKAREM

Raid

At dawn on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces raided Shwikiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city and detained a resident.

Detention

1. On January 20th 2019, Israeli forces detained Suhayeb Taysir Tawfiq Al-Wawi {A resident of Bal'a town}.
2. Israeli forces detained Usayed Khalid Mohammad Dagher during their raid into Shwikiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city.

NABLUS

Raid

1.At 13:15, Israeli forces raided Jama'in town.
2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Qibliya village, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:55.
3. At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Tel village, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:15.

Detention

1.At 21:30 on January 20th 2019, Israeli forces detained Sameh Adnan Kuwani during their raid into Nablus city {as mentioned in the previous report}.
2. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Qaher Yassin in Assira Al-Qibliya village.
3. Israeli forces detained Amer Mithqal Al-Hindi in Tel village.

Attack

At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara military checkpoint opened fire towards a resident {for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier} and as a result killed him.

Killings

Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed Mohammad Fawzi Yusef Awwadi {36 years old}{A resident of Rujieb village in Nablus district} at Huwara military checkpoint for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 13:15, a group of Israeli settlers from "Rahlim" settlement planted olive tree on residential owned land located in Talat Al-Sawiya area located in Al-Sawiya village in an attemp to confiscate it.
2. At 15:55, a group of Israeli settlers from "Yitmar" settlement leveled a plot of land in Al-Lahaf area located near Yanoun village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 11:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Marda village then searched residents and vehicles until 11:40.
3. At 12:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the the area between Kafil Harris town and Harris village then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Oja village junction {located along Al-Muarajat road which connects Jericho and Ramallah & Al-Bireh districts} then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.
2. At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 01:30.

Raid

At 09:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Jiftlik village then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:50 and again at 19:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west village of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Nihalin and Al-Jab'a village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.
3. At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Al-Khader town then searched residents and vehicles until 00:50.
4. At 18:25 and again at 00:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 12:45, Israeli forces raided Bittar village, leveled a plot of land approximately 15 dunums along with its stone fences and uprooted 60 Olive trees owned by Raed Abu Harthiya and Riyad Abu Harthiya then assaulted 2 residents and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.
2. At 15:45, Israeli forces raided Irtas village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Solomon pools during which they clashed with several residents then withdrew at 16:30.
3. At 17:20 and again at 20:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 00:50.
4. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town and detained a resident.
5. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town and detained 2 children.
6. At dawn on January 22nd 2019, Israeli forces raided Husan village then stormed and searched several homes

Detention

1. At 15:30, Israeli forces detained Othman Yusef Ahmad Arafa {A resident of Al-Duhisha camp in Bethlehem city} as he was reporting to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning based on a prior summon.
2. Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Abdallah Khader Taqatqa in Teqou' town.
3. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Fadi Adnan Al-Badan {16 years old} and Mahmoud Rateb Mahmoud Al-Amour {15 years old} in Teqou' town.

Physical Assault

At 12:45, Israeli forces assaulted 2 residents: Hana' Mahmoud Harthiya and Sa'id Mahmoud Harthiya during their raid into Bittar village and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.

Attack

1. At 15:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Irtas village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Solomon pools.

6. At 20:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the south entrance of Hebron city {near Haggi settlement} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At dawn on January 22nd 2019, Israeli forces raided Yatta town then stormed and searched several homes.
2. At dawn on January 22nd 2019, Israeli forces raided Dura town and Khursa village and summoned 3 residents: Youssef Abdel Aziz Kazaz, Mohammed Kamel Aktil, Ismail Hassan Awawdeh. to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:10, a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along road {60} near the entrance of Beit Ummar town ran over Fatima Abu Mariya {A resident of Beit Ummar town} and as a result left her hospitalized with fractures and contusions.

Injuries

Fatima Abu Mariya {A resident of Beit Ummar town} was hospitalized with fractures and contusions after she was run over by a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along road {60} near the entrance of Beit Ummar town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured a resident.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding North Gaza district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

At 09:30 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces escorting Military Bulldozers stormed 50m into the vicinity of North west Beit Lahiya town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 15:30.

Attack

At 23:00 on January 19th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North west Beit Lahiya town, detained a fisherman and confiscated his fishing boat.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jaber Husam Mohammad Baker {a Fisherman} after confiscating his fishing boat off the shores of off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North west Beit Lahiya town.

At 10:30 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 15:45 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Deir Al-Balah city and as a result injured a resident.
2. At 16:55 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.

Israeli forces injured 1 unidentified resident after opening fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 08:30 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khuza'a town located in south east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 13:45 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards Palestinian gunmen site located in east Khan Yunis city.
3. At 19:00 on January 21st 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of east Khan Yunis city.
4. At 19:00 on January 21st 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
