DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 14:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Issawiya village and detained a citizen.
2. At 23:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Hizma, where clashes took place with the citizens while they were on patrol.

Detention

1. At 14:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained Ragheb Al-Jaba, in the Old City of Jerusalem.
2. The detainee in the village of Issawiya is: Majd Maher Fheidat.

Attack

1. At 22:00, the Israeli occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem for alleged stoning.
2. At 23:00, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, during their raid into Hizma town for alleged stoning.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:05, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Deir Ibzi', to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Attack

At 13:15, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards the citizens participating in a demonstration against the confiscation of land for settlement projects in the Jabal Al-Shorfa area in the village of Deir Jarir , which resulted in the wounding of a child, and the injury of a number of citizens - cases of suffocation due to tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

The child who was wounded in the head during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in Deir Jarir village, is: Muhammad Abdel Fattah Maali, 14 years old.

JENIN

Raid

At 05:10, the Israeli occupation forces raided Jenin, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 06:00.

Detention

The detainee in the city of Jenin is: Moataz Ziyad Khalil Saba'na.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 11:45, the Israeli occupation forces intensified their restrictions at Tayasir military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:45.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint between the town of Kafr Thulth and the village of Izbat Al-Ashqar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Attack

At 12:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the eastern (closed) entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddum fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, towards demonstrators protesting against the closure of the village entrances for alleged stoning and as a result wounding a citizen, and leaving several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

The wounded man during clashes with the occupation forces near the eastern (closed) entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddum is: Muhammad Nidal Juma.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Sarra, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 16:35, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint between Tal and Burin villages, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Attack

At 12:30, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas towards the citizens participating in a demonstration against the confiscation of land for settlement projects in Beit Dajan village, which resulted in wounding a citizen and wounding a number of citizens - suffocation cases due to inhaling tear gas.

Injuries

The wounded man during clashes with the occupation forces in the village of Beit Dajan is: Muhammad Abu Helwan.

Settlers Attacks

On 22/01/2021, a group of settlers entered the outskirts of the eastern village of Laban, and attempted to storm the Al-Khan building near the main street, Nablus - Ramallah, where the villagers managed to confront the settlers and force them to leave the area.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Deir Ballut, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 12:30.
2. At 11:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Kafr El-Deek, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 12:45
3. At 13:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Salfit, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:35 and again at 18:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 18:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to Jericho, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to Hebron, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 11:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 12:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Beit Ainoun village junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
4. At 14:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint on Wadi Sa`ir Road, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
5. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Fawwar camp, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the ceasefire agreement, by firing from their positions on the Green Line towards Central Gaza and Khan Yunis governorates.

NORTHERN GAZA

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": on 22/01/2021 is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 23:30 on 22/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Bureij camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 09:15 on 22/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Fakhari area, east of Khan Yunis.
2. At 15:15 on 22/01/2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Qarara town, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sufa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: On 22/01/2021, it is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs, goods, building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
