Demonstrations

• On January 23rd 2018,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 03:45.
2. At 04:35, Israeli forces raided Biddu town.

Detention

1. At 23:15, Israeli forces detained Marwan Mohammad Damdoum {A resident of Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city}.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mahmud hamdan and wissam Al-Mukahal in Al-Eizraiya town.

Attack

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya Military checkpoint fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.
2. At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Kabsah area located in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.

Deportation

On the morning of January 23rd 2018, Israeli Authorities in Jerusalem city issued a court order banning Ghada Al-Zaghir from entering Bab Al-Amoud area and Salah Al-Din road in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 2 weeks as a condition for her release from Israeli prison after she was detained on January 22nd 2018 as she was participating in demonstrations protesting The American Vice presidents visit to Jerusalem city.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident during clashes near Qalandiya Military checkpoint.
2. Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident during clashes in Ras Kabsah area located in Abu Dis town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 13:00 and again at 01:20, Israeli forces raided Shuqba village until 06:35.
2. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Layth Ahed Mustafa Hamayel in Kafr Malik village.

Attack

At 11:30, Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint set up near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Ghaith Mohammed Mahmoud Abu al-Rub (rubber-coated metal bullets in the eye) during clashes near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint set up near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city.

Closure of main Roads

At 21:00, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance located along Wadi Al-Dalab road which leads to Al-Janiya and Ras Kar Kar villages thus impeded the free flow of traffic for alleged stoning.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 13:35, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad and Arraba towns, Zubaba, Rumana, Al-Taybeh and Nazlat Al-Shiekh Zied villages until 14:00.
2. At 03:40, Israeli forces raided Jenin city, its camps and Wadi Bruqin area, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained a resident in Wadi Bruqin area then withdrew at 06:45.
3. At 03:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Silah Al-Harthiya and Ya'bad towns and Kafr Qud and Kafriyat villages until 06:45.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Uday Jaber Saleh Jarrar in Wadi Bruqin area located in Jenin city.

Attack

At 03:40, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several resiednts for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Wadi Bruqin area located in Jenin city.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 18:50, Israeli forces intensified their restriction at "Enav" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:45.

Raid

1. At 08:45, Israeli forces raided Baqa Al-Sharqiya town and Al-Nazlah Al-Gharbiya and Nazlat Abu Nar villages until 13:40.
2. At 17:45, Israeli forces raided Safarin village.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Hablah Tunnel {located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya city} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

1. At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Azzun town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 6 residents and left 7 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located in the west Jayyous town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 6 unidentified residents during clashes near the entrance of Azzun town.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Bazariya village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 21:45.

Attack

At 13:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beita town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Iskaka village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya town, detained a resident after storming his home then withdrew at 00:50.

Attack

At 13:20, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint opened fire towards 2 children for alleged stabbing attempt and as a result injured them.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 children: Hamad Farhan Al-Hajj Muhammad {14 years old} and Ahmad Sa'id Zaqzouq {14 years old} (both residents of Al-Jadida village, Jenin district) for alleged stabbing attempt near Za'tara junction military checkpoint .

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Muhannad Tayel Fares in Deir Istiya town.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 children: Hamad Farhan Al-Hajj Muhammad {14 years old} and Ahmad Sa'id Zaqzouq {14 years old} (both residents of Al-Jadida village, Jenin district) after Israeli forces opened fire forwards them for alleged stabbing attempt near Za'tara junction military checkpoint.

Attack

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces positioned near the south entrance of Jericho city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 13:05, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Jericho city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Mohamed Hisham Abdel Rahman Hadeb during clashes near the North entrance of Jericho city.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction{located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicle until 17:00.

Raid

1. At 17:10 and again at 21:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Jallah city until 05:15.
2. At 05:15, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and Al-Duhisheh camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained a resident in the camp and summoned Mohamed Nayef Ramadan to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 06:40.
3. At 05:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Doha and Al-Khader towns until 06:40.

Detention

1. At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Bethlehem detained 2 children: Moataz Nazih Abdel Razek Badwan {15 years old}, and Mohammed Salah Mohammed Masaeed {14 years old}.
2. At 14:15, Israeli forces detained Malik Daoud Abu Arab {A resident of Battir village} as he was working at a gas station located along the main road leading to Husan village.
3. At 16:55, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Bethlehem city detained 2 children:Mohammed Adel Mahmoud Ibrahim {14 years old}, and Ahmad Khader Awadallah Al-Shamali {14 years old}.
4. Israeli forces detained Yusef Yacoub Hamadat in Al-Duhisheh camp.

Attack

1. At 13:40, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Bethlehem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 05:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Duhisheh camp.

HEBRON

Raid

1. At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, detained 3 residents after storming and searching their homes then withdrew at 05:00.
2. At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town and detained a resident.
3. At 07:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp and detained a child.

Detention

1.Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Khalil Hassan Abu Hussein, his wife (mother of two children), and his brother Hussam in Hebron city.
2. Israeli forces detained Ra'fat Sa'di Al-Alami in Beit Ummar town.
3. Israeli forces detained Malik Abdel-Fattah Mahmoud Jawabrah {17 years old} in Al-Arrub camp.

Attack

1. At 10:05, Israeli forces positioned in Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 14:40, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Duwrat area located in south Sa'ir town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 15:35, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Physical Assault

At 16:40, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in Hebron city assaulted Abdel-Jabbar Yusef Al-Hadad and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Detention

At 18:30 on January 23rd 2018, Israeli forces detained 2 unidentified residents in east Khan Yunis city as they attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
