WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At dawn on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town and detained a resident.

Attack

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Jabal area in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Khamis neighborhood of Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city opened fire towards the child Mohammad Issam Al-Qawasmi {15 years old} for alleged stoning and as a result left him hospitalized in critical condition.

Injuries

The child:Mohammad Issam Al-Qawasmi {15 years old} was critically injured after Israeli forces opened fire towards him in Ras Khamis neighborhood of Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.

Detention

1. On the morning of January 24th 2019, Israeli forces detained Ali Qarash in Beit Hanina town.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ameer Adel Obied and Adel Yassir Barakat near the entrance of Al-Nabi Samaul village.
3. Israeli forces detained Mus'ab Fawzi Khanfahsat in Abu Dis town.
4. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Issam Al-Qawasmi {15 years old} in in Ras Khamis neighborhood of Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city after critically injuring him.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On January 24th 2019, the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for the staff of international organizations and those holding from VIP and PMC cardholders only. According to schedule of specific hours (Fridays: 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday: 18:00 to 22:00, Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 to 22:00) .

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Halmish" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 10:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Eyoun Al-Haramiya area junction {located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus} then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
3. At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 17:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Abu Mash'al village then searched residents and vehicles.
5. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Liqya town and detained 3 residents.

Detention

1. On the evening of January 23rd 2019, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint along the main road near "Bet El' settlement and leading to Al-Jalazoun camp detained Mohammad Jaber Zied {A resident of Al-Jalazoun camp} {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.
2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammad Habib Ali Mafarjat, Ahmad Mahmoud Ahmad Mafarjat and Mohammad Radwan Assi in Beit Liqya town.

Attack

At 16:20, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

At dawn on January 25th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Shilo" settlement in Turmus'yaya town shattered the windows of 3 vehicles and spray painted racist graffiti then withdrew at a later time.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 09:20, Israeli forces raided Jaba' town and Al-Fanduqumiya village until 14:55.
2. At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Maythaloun town, Masilat and Sanour villages.
3. At 06:45, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp and detained a resident after storming his home.
4. At dawn on January 25th 2019, Israeli forces raided Jaba' town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Suhayeb Bassam Al-Sa'di in Jenin camp.

TUBAS

Raid

1. At 09:50, Israeli forces raided Tubas city, stormed and searched Al-Awqaf {Religious endowments} offices then detained a resident.
2. At 23:05, Israeli forces raided Aqaba town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdel-Qadder Ali Abdel-Qaddder Samarat in Tubas city.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 08:40, Israeli forces raided Shwekiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city, Deir Al-Ghosoun and Bal'a towns and Al-Jaroushiya village until 12:30.
2. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and Tulkarem camp.
3. At 16:30, Israeli forces raided Quffin town.
4. At 11:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Lid town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Raid

1. At 08:30, Israeli forces raided Sarah village.
2. At 09:20, Israeli forces raided Bazariya village until 16:05.
3. At 16:05, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village and clashed with several residents.
4. At 23:10, Israeli forces raided Awarta village.

Attack

At 16:05, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Sabastiya village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Iskaka village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 00:55, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint detained Mohammad Shaher Qanirat {a resident of Askar camp in Nablus city}.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Malee Avrim" settlement then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 06:50, Israeli forces raided Jericho city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed a Jewish synagogue then withdrew at a later time.

Detention

At 22:00, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Samer Nader Malihat and Islam Nader Malihat {Both are residents of Fasayil village}.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Khader town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 14:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Khas and Al-Nu'man villages.
2. At 16:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town.

Detention

At 03:00 on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces detained the child Omar Ma'moun Abdel-Qadder Badeer {17 years old} during their raid into Ayda camp in Bethlehem city {as mentioned in the previous report}.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Einoun village then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 09:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 11:30.
3. At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 13:40.

Raid

At 23:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Ammrat village until 06:40.

Detention

At dawn on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Mahmoud Adi during their raid into Beit Ummar town {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.

Assaults on Property

On 24 January 2019, the Israeli forces issued a military order to halt rehabilitation and construction work on the infrastructure of "Beit Einoun / UNESCO", located northeast of Hebron, and temporarily seized construction equipment and machinery used for the work which was for expansion of a 2000 m road.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza , Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 09:30 on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Beit Hanun town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 23:50 on January 24th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 10:00 on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.
2. At 10:00 on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1.At 15:35 on January 24th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 01:30 on January 25th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.

At 01:45 on January 25th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Rafah city.
