WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:50, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

Settlement Activities

On January 29th 2019, Israeli Authorities in Jerusalem city approved plans for the construction of a cable cart in the old city of Jerusalem which will begin from Al-Tur neighborhood and end at the western wall { The first phase of the plan will include the construction of three stations - the first station will be located at the old train station, the second stop near the parking lot near Mount Zion, and the third station will be built on the surface of the complex "Kedem" near Al Buraq Square}.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On January 29th 2019, the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for the staff of international organizations and those holding from VIP and PMC cardholders only. According to schedule of specific hours (Fridays: 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday: 18:00 to 22:00, Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 to 22:00) .

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Um Safa village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Ramallah city, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 03:30.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mahmoud Al-Qadi and Layth Kan'an Al-Barghouthi in Ramallah city.

Closure of main Roads

On January 29th 2019, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village with cement blocks and installed a steel gate along the main road leading to Ramallah city.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 06:10, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town and detained 2 residents.
2. At 07:50, Israeli forces raided Arraba town and detained 3 residents.

Detention

1. On the evening of January 29th 2019, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Jalmat Military checkpoints detained Samir Abdel-Halim Burhan {17 years old}{A resident of Jenin city}.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Naji Samir Nazal Yusef Rashad Kamil in Qabatiya town.
3. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Bakir Mohammad Abu Obied, Mustafa Shihada Al-Shibani and Jafar Ibrahim Iz Al-Din in Araba town.

TUBAS

Settlers Attacks

On January 29th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers accompanied by several trained attack dogs chased several farmers who were herding their goats on land in Al-Rawa'iya area which is located north of "Rotim" settlement which is located in Al-Farisiya area of the North Jordan valley.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 18:35,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Enav Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:10.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous town and Sir village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:00 and again at 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 09:00, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris village and detained 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Abdel-Karim Abdel-Latif Jaber and Hamdi Mahmoud Jaber.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 10:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shavi Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sabastiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Nablus city and Assira Al-Shamaliya town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the area during which they clashed with several residents then withdrew at 15:30.
2. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 04:00 on January 29th 2019, Israeli forces detained Khalid Al-Habsh during their raid into Nablus city {as mentioned in the previous report}.
2. Israeli forces detained Ziyad Hassan Malitat in Beit Furiq town.

Attack

At 12:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in Sabastiya village.

Settlers Attacks

At 03:00, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village and spray painted racist and anti arab graffiti onto 3 vehicles before being chased out by local residents.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 09:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 12:20.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 17:15.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 11:45.
2. At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {acted at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 19:10.

Raid

At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Rashayda village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohamamd Soliman Al-Rashayda in Al-Rashayda village.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of I'zizi village located in south Yatta town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 21:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Tarqumiya town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces raided Yatta town and detained a resident.
3. At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained a resident.
4.At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes and detained a resident.
5. At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces raided Hebron city.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Soliman Akhlil in Beit Ummar town..
2. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jibril Salama in Yatta town.
3. Israeli forces detained Baha Ghanimat in Surif town.
4. Israeli forces detained Maher Abu Warda in Al-Arrub camp.

Attack

At dawn on January 30th 2019, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Arrub camp.

Assaults on Property

On January 29th 2018, Israeli forces stormed Sussiya village located in east Yatta town and served a military order to halt construction on a water well and water pipe network owned by Farid Ahmad Za'al Al-Jabour for allegedly being built with out a licence because of its location in area C {which is under Israeli administrative and military control}.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza and Rafah district and as a result injured 14 residents and left 10 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
*A resident died of serious injuries sustained during clashes in Al-Buriej camp on January 25th 2019 .
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 12:30 on January 29th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards a bulldozer in Borat Abu Samara area located in North West Beit Lahiya town and as a result injured its operator.
2. At 14:30 on January 29th 2019, , Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in North West Beit Lahiya town during the march of return and as a result injured 13 residents and left 11 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 14:30 on January 29th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards approximately 15 Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

Injuries

1.Israeli forces injured Ameen Mahmoud Darwish after opening fire towards the bulldozers he was operating in Borat Abu Samara area located in North West Beit Lahiya town.
2. Israeli forces injured 13 unidentified residents after opening fire towards demonstrators in North West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Killings

At 15:45 on January 29th 2019, Samir Ghazi Al-Nabahin {47 years old}{A resident of Al-Nussirat camp} died of serious injuries sustained during clashes in Al-Buriej camp on January 25th 2019.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 20:15 on January 29th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.

Attack

At 20:00 on January 29th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards Palestinian gunmen sites in east Rafah city.
