DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 5th January 2020 – 08:00, 6th January 2020
1 At 19:45, Israeli forces raided Jaba' village.
2. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 5 residents.
3. At dawn on January 6th 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town then stormed and searched a home.
1. At 20:00, Israeli forces detained Jadallah Al-Rajabi {a resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city} as he was reporting to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning based on a prior summon.
2. At 22:15, Israeli forces detained Nasri Al-Firwari in the old city of Jerusalem.
3. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Anwar Sami Obaid, Fayez Muhaisen, Nadim Al-Safadi, Adam Mahmoud, and Saleh Abu Asab in Al-Eisawiya village.
On the evening of January 5th 2020, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning 3 residents:
Imad Abu Sneineh, Ahmad Al-Shawish, and Mohammed Al-Zughair {all resident of Jerusalem city from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 7 days as a condition for their release after being detained at an earlier time.
At 08:30,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
1. At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Deir Ghassana town and Shuqba village until 07:45.
2. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and Al-Amary camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents {including a University student} then withdrew at 07:00.
Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Nidal Ghanayem (a university student) {a resident of Al-Bireh City}, and Mahmoud Issa Abbas -{a resident of Al-Amary camp }as they raided Al-Bireh city and Al-Amary camp.
At 03:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Bireh city and Al-Amary camp.
1. At 16:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Silah Al-Harthiya town and Rumana and Ti'inik villages until 16:20.
2. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town until 01:20.
At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Tayassir village until 03:50.
At 16:40,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Enav military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
1. At 01:35, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city until 03:45.
2. At 01:50,Israeli forces raided Baqat Al-Sharqiya town and Sayda village.
3. At 05:05, Israeli forces raided Zieta town.
1. At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 02:15.
2. At 23:50, Israeli forces raided Immatin village until 04:45.
3. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and detained 2 residents {including a child}.
Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Nidal Shaker Radwan and Yassin Imad Shabita {17 years old} in Azzun town.
At 21:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Jayyous town.
1. At 13:40,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furik military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
2. At 16:05,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Orif and Madma villages, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 04:30.
2. At 07:45, Israeli forces raided Aqraba town.
Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Saleh Kayed Sabah {a resident of Orif village}, and Aref Nassar{a resident of Madama village} during their raids into Orif and Madma villages.
At 20:25,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
1. At 09:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 13:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Harris village then searched residents and vehicles.
At 12:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Jiftlik village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 09:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:10,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.
3. At 07:20,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles.
At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, detained 6 residents {including 3 children} then withdrew at 05:50.
Israeli forces detained 6 residents {including 3 children}: Radhi Salah Muhammad Taqatqa {17 years old}, Amer Khaled Issa Taqatqa {17 years old}, Mujahid Youssef Taqatqa {16 years old}, Mahmoud Ahmed Taqatqa, Mahdi Salah Taqatqa, and Muhammad Khaled Mahmoud Thawabta. during their raid into Beit Fajjar town.
On January 5th 2020, Israeli forces confiscated 0.5 dunums of land located in Wadi Al-Hindi area of Jorat Al-Sham'a village for alleged military purposes.
At 09:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arrub camp then searched residents and vehicles.
1. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Samou' town until 05:35.
2. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Ithna town, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 05:35.
• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis district.
* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision
At 13:00 on January 5th 2020,Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in east Al-Maghazi camp.
At 00:30 on January 5th 2020,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.
