WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Eizariya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the entrance of Anata town and Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

On the evening of January 5th 2019, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mahmoud Jamal Ghayth and Mu'taz Al-Rajabi in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Temporary Detention

At 14:30, Israeli forces temporarily detained Ali Yassin {A camera man for Palestine Broadcast Corporation} in Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area then released him at a later time.

Attack

On the evening of January 5th 2019, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 24th consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Turmus'ya town then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.
2. At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sinjil town then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.
3. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 11:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Intham village.
2. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city {after an alleged shooting indecent towards a bus carrying Israeli settlers near "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city} and clashed with several residents as they stormed "Peugeot" car dealership and as a result critically injured a child then withdrew at a later time.
3. At 03:10, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ni'ma village, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Talib Raslan Obada in Kafr Ni'ma village.

Attack

1. At 01:40, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they they stormed "Peugeot" car dealership during their raid into Al-Bireh city and as a result critically injured a child{sever head injury}.
2. At 03:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Kafr Ni'ma village.

Injuries

Israeli forces critical injured the child Fawaz Maher Adel {16 years old} with sever head wounds after being struck by a rubber coated steel bullet which fractured his skull and cased internal bleeding} during clashes in Al-Bireh city.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Yamoun town junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Araba town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 20:55.

Raid

At 18:00, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town and detained 2 children.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 children: Hussein Yasser Ba'jaoui {16 years old}, and Mohammed Jamal Bani Ghra {15 years old}. in Arraba town.

TULKAREM

Temporary Detention

At 17:15, Israeli forces positioned at wall gate {623} located in Deir Al-Ghosoun town temporarily detained 2 residents:
Hamam Khalid Abdul Ghani Al-Sabah, and Uday Bilal Abdul Muti Al-Sabah {both are residents of Deir Al-Ghosoun town} then released them at a later time.

NABLUS

Settlers Attacks

1. At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burin village and chopped off the limbs of several Olive trees.
2. At 18:40,a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Sabastiya village junction stoned vehicles travelling in the area.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.

Temporary Detention

At 01:00, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint temporarily detained 2 Palestinian Police Officer: Ahmed Ayman Ahmed Hajja, and Rnaz Zaher Abu Omar {both are residents of the village of Barqa in Nablus} then released them at 3:00.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 11:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road {90} near Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Nashash area {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 21:40.
3. At 22:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 22:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town {after an alleged shooting incident towards "Mijdal Oz" settlement} during which they set up a checkpoint at the town entrance then withdrew at 05:30.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar town then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.

Raid

At dawn on January 6th 2019, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained a resident after storming his home.

Detention

1. At 18:45, Israeli forces detained Najeh Mahdi Rubin Al-Ja'bari in the old city of Hebron.
2. Israeli forces detained Omar Abdel-Rau'f Abu Sineneh in Hebron city.

Closure of main Roads

On the evening of January 5th 2019, Israeli forces closed the steel gate located along Wadi Sa'ir road thus preventing residents from reaching their homes until reopening it at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding Rafah district.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

1. At 10:30 on January 5th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in North east Beit Hanun town.
2. At 11:20 on January 5th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 10:20 on January 5th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.
2. At 11:40 on January 5th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in north east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 07:00 on January 5th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 07:05 on January 5th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed

Attack

At 07:10 on January 5th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah city.
