WEST BANK

Demonstrations

• On January 6th 2018,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Attack

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city fired stun canisters towards several demonstrators and assaulted them as a result injured 5 resiednts then detained a resident.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Kabsah area located near Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned in Shu'fat neighborhood fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 5 unidentified demonstrators during clashes at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ahed Al-Rashiq during clashes at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city.

Closure of main Roads

At 19:30, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Eisawiya village and impeded the free flow of traffic from both directions.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Tahta village , temporarily detained a resident then released him at a later time.

Raid

At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Silwad town, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes and summoned 3 residents: Saed Hammad, Alaa Hamed and Emad Hammad to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Temporary Detention

At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Tahta temporarily detained Moath Rashdi for allegedly carrying a knife then released him at a later time.

Attack

1. At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned at "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At dawn on January 7th 2018, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Silwad town.

Settlers Attacks

At 19:35, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near "Halamish" settlement chased a vehicles as it passed near the area.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Shufa village then searched residents and vehicles until 19:35.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hajja village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:00 and again at 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:15.
3. At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous and Azzun towns then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.

Raid

At 18:00, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town.

NABLUS

At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Osrain village.

Closure of main Roads

At 21:30, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Osrin village and impeded the free flow of traffic for alleged stoning towards a Israeli settler vehicle passing along the bypass road the reopened it at 05:00.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 14:45, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 10:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 12:35, Israeli forces positioned near Deir Ballout town detained Mohammad Aqab Radi {A resident of Al-Labban Al-Gharbiya village in Ramallah & Al-Bireh district}

JERICHO

Physical Assault

At 22:15, Israeli occupation forces severely assaulted 4 residents :Mohammed Khaled Yousef al-Jerami, {A resident of Nablus}, Mahmoud Rushdi Suleiman Duwikat,{ A residents of Nablus}, Ashraf Mustafa Awad Hussein, {A residents of Bzariya village, Nablus District}, and Faris Mahmoud Mohammed Jarajra,{A residents of 'Asira al-Shamaliya, Nablus district} while they were on their way to repair their car on the main road in Fasayil village and as a result left them hospitalized Jericho Governmental Hospital.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur city} then searched residents and vehicles until 20:50.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched resiednts and vehicles until 21:45.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles until 20:00.

Raid

1. At 10:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town, detained a resident then withdrew at 10:30.
2. At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Birien village located in south Bani Na'im town, served military order for the demolition of several structures including a Mosque and a school for allegedly being built with out a licence in area C {which is under Israeli Military and Administrative control}.
3. At 21:10, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed the home of Nidal Shihadeh {A Palestinian Detainee} and confiscated funds then withdrew at 22:20.
4. At dawn on January 7th 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp, detained a resident after storming and searching his home.
5. At dawn on January 7th 2018, Israeli forces raided Yatta town and summoned Muhanad Taysir Al-Ruba'i to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Wael Khalil Al-Tal in Al-Thahriya town.
2. Israeli forces detained Safi Ayman Al-Teti in Al-Aroub camp.

Confiscation of Property

At 21:10, Israeli forces confiscated funds after storming and searching the home of Nidal Shihadeh {A Palestinian Detainee} during their raid into Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed {with the exception of the entry of several fuel trucks}.
