Demonstrations

• On January 7th 2018,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the wall gate near Dahiyat Al-Barid area in Al-Ram town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Mutala' hospital in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Anata town.
2. At 11:00, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.
3. At 16:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village.
4. At dawn on January 8th 2018, Israeli forces raided Qutna village and detained a Attorney.

Detention

1. On January 7th 2018, Israeli forces detained Adham Ja'abis {A resident of Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
2. On January 7th 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Amoud area located in Jerusalem city detained Ahmad Salayma.
3. At dawn on January 8th 2018, Israeli forces detained the child Mahdi Mufid Al-Khadour {13 years old} after storming his home in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
4. Israeli forces detained Imad Al-Faqiya {Attorney} in Qutna village.

Attack

At 18:40, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Ras Kabsah area located in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents participating in demonstrations agianst { the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem} for alleged stoning.

Temporary Detention

At 18:00, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city sentenced 3 resiednts : Wafiq Najib, Abdullah Najib, and Samir Ghaith to 30 days of home imprisonment as a term for their release from Israeli Military custody.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

At 15:05, Israeli forces closed Al-Mahkama Military checkpoint located near "Bet Ei" settlement in North Al-Bireh city and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.

Raid

1. At 04:00 on January 7th 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Janiya village and summoned Mohammad Abdel-Rahman Mathloum to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.
2. At 10:10, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town, Abu Shikhdom and Surda villages, clashed with several residents near Bir Ziet University junction as they stormed a merchant shop then withdrew at 13:00.
3. At 10:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village, clashed with several residents, injured 3 residents then withdrew at 12:00.
4. At 03:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city until 00:10.
5. At 03:55, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town and detained a resident.
6. At 07:40, Israeli forces raided Dura Al-Qara' village and detained a resident.

Attack

1. At 10:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a merchant shop near Bir Ziet University junction during their raid into Bir Ziet town.
2. At 10:20, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village and as a result injured 3 residents.
3. At 13:15, Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint collected near Bet El settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 15:05, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate located in south Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned at "Psagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a child.
6. At 15:35, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beit Sira village stun and tear gas canisters towards several school children for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 3 residents including Mohammad Salah Al-Dudat during clashes in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Abdullah Abdul Latif Al-Saafeen in Beituniya town.
2. Israeli forces detained Ahmed Abdel Salam Yassin in Dura Al-Qara' town
3. Israeli forces detained Othman Mohammed Talal Al Shafei 15 years old - residents of Al-Bireh. during clashes near "Psagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city.

Closure of main Roads

At 04:00, Israeli forces closed the main steel gate entrance of Aboud town and as a result impeded the free flow of traffic from both directions.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Ya'bad and Araba towns then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the bypass road in east Jenin city and detained 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located along the bypass road in east Jenin city detained 2 residents: Ahmad Adnan Saeed Khalaf and Sa'ad Mohammed Abdullah Nur (both residents of the village of Arana).

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:30 and again at 20:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hajja village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 16:30, Israeli forces raided Hajja village.
2. At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Nasser Hamad Adwan in Qalqiliya city.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba'a area located near the entrance of Tel village then searched residents and vehicles until 10:20.
2. At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shave Shomron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, clashed with several residents, detained a resident then withdrew at 02:15.

Attack

1. At 16:25, Israeli forces positioned in east Salim village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a child.
2. At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Qa'da area located in south Beit Furiq town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 00:40, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Nablus city.

Detention

1. On January 6th 2018, Israeli forces detained Hamza Mahmoud Salem Namrouti {A resident of Askar camp in Nablus city}.
2. Israeli forces detained Zuhier Abu Al-Hayat in Nablus city.
3. Israeli forces detained Madi Hamad Shihadeh Isjhtaya {16 years old} during clashes in Salem village.

Settlers Attacks

At 15:40, Israeli settlers positioned at "Yitshar" settlement junction attempted to attack vehicles passing near the settlement then withdrew under the protection of the Israeli Military.

Closure of main Roads

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Osarin village with cement blocks and dirt mounds.
2. At 02:30, Israeli forces closed the steel gate North entrance of Awatra village {which leads to Odala village} and as a result impeded the free flow of traffic.

SALFIT

Raid

1. At 22:20, Israeli forces raided Bruqin and Kafr Al-Dik towns until 24:00.
2. At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Bidya town until 05:40.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Dead Sea junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces raided Marj Ghazal village, stormed a date factory, inspected the Identification cards of the workers then withdrew at 17:15.

2. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village , stormed and searched 5 homes then withdrew at 04:15.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jala city then searched residents and vehicles until 17:30.
2. At 02:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:15.

Raid

1. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Jalla city, fired stun grenades as the stormed a government hospital for alleged stoning then withdrew at 02:45.
2. At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Asakra village and detained 2 residents.
3. At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town and detained a resident.
4. At 03:05, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city , Azza and Ayda camps then detained 6 residents {including a Lawyer}.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents:Abdul Rahman Khaled Attieh Asakra, and Attiyah Dawood Asakra in Al-Asakra village.
2. Israeli forces detained Mustafa Jamal Hussien Abdel-Jalil in Teqou' town.
3. Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Luai Salim Mohammed al-Harimi - Residents of Bethlehem City, Uday al-Harimi - Residents of Bethlehem City, Ramadan Al-Janazra - Residents of Bethlehem City, Tariq Mahmoud Abu Sorour - Residents of Aida Camp, Sami Isma'ilil Alian 14 years old - Residents of Aida Camp, - Residents of Al-Azza camp during their raid into Bethlehem city , Azza and Ayda camps .

Assault on medical sector

At 02:40, Israeli forces stormed a Governmental hospital and fired stun canisters in the area during their raid in Beit Jalla city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arrub camp then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Hariq area {located in south Hebron city} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1.At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town, stormed and searched a home, temporarily detained a resident then released him at 04:00.
2. At dawn on January 8th 2018, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im, Beit Awwa and Yatta towns.

Temporary Detention

At 02:15, Israeli forces temporarily detained Zied Musa Jabara Amarin during their raid into Sa'ir town then released him into 04:00.

Closure of main Roads

At 13:45, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Beit Einun village then reopened it at 14:30.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed {with the exception of the entry of several fuel trucks}..
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
