WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 09:00 on January 7th 2019 and again at dawn on January 8th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, stormed and searched a home and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 18:30, Israeli forces detained Firas Al-Badas {A Journalist and Director General of Media in the Islamic endowments in Jerusalem city}{A resident of Shu'fat camp} in Jerusalem city.
2. Israeli forces detained Saeb Darbas in Al-Eisawiya village.

Deportation

On January 7th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued a order to deport Muslih Shihada {A resident of Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem city} from his home for a period of 20 days and fined him 500 NIS and an additional 5000 NIS as a condition for his release from Israeli Police custody after he was detained at an earlier time.

Attack

At 20:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning in Kafr Aqab town.

Injuries

At 05:40, Adnan Mohammad Shihada {A resident of Qalandiya camp} was hospitalized with contusions after Israeli forces assaulted him at Qalandiya military checkpoint.

Closure of Wall Gates

On January 7th 2019, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis gate in Shu'fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic after an alleged Molotov cocktail was thrown towards the gate.

Confiscation of Property

On January 7th 2019, Israeli Forces positioned at Beit Iksa Military checkpoint confiscated a truck {used to deliver propane gas tanks} owned by Muhanad Makhtoub {A resident of Al-Qubiba village}.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of Israeli settlers lead by Ori Arail {A Israeli Knesset member} under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 26th consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sinjil town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 13:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and merchant shops and as a result injured 2 residents and detained 2 others then withdrew at 22:05.
2. At 20:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured 3 residents, detained a resident then withdrew at 21:05.
3. At 04:55, Israeli forces raided Budrous village and detained a resident.
4. At 05:35, Israeli forces raided Kobar town and detained 2 residents.
5. At 05:35, Israeli forces raided Abu Shikhidium village and detained 5 residents.
6. At dawn on January 8th 2019,Israeli forces raided Ni'lin town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Raed Mahmoud Abu Subieh and Ra'fat Mahmoud Abu Subieh in Al-Bireh city.
2. Israeli forces detained Fa'eq Al-Turmisani in Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city.
3. Israeli forces detained Aweis Nasser Marrar in Budrous village.
4. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ziyad Shiladat and Mahmoud Ziyad Shiladat in Kobar town.
5. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: 'Assem' Omar Barghouthi {A resident of Kobar town}, Mahmoud 'Abd al-Mu'izz Idris, and his sons Diya, Haytham and Muhannad {All residents of Abu Shkheidam village} during their raid into Abu Shikhidium village.
6. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Samir Al-Khawajat in Ni'lin town.

Attack

1. At 13:50, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes and merchant shops during their raid into Al-Bireh city and as a result injured 2 residents.
2. At 20:25, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city and as a result injured 3 residents.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Majd Mohammad Arafat Abu Libda and Raed Ali Abu Jarrad during clashes in Al-Bireh city.
2. Israeli forces injured 3 residents: Sami Mahmoud Hassan Abu Khalifat, Billal Marwan Masaud Abed Musa and Wajdi Ashraf Dakhallah during clashes in Al Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city.

Closure of main Roads

At 23:20, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance located along the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp near "Bet El" settlement and as a result impeded the free flow of traffic.

JENIN

Raid

At dawn on January 8th 2019, Israeli forces raided Arraba town and Markat village, temporarily detained 2 residents as they stormed and searched their homes then released them at a later time.

Temporary Detention

At dawn on January 8th 2019, Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 residents: Khader Adnan{a residents of Arraba town}, and Abdul Hakim Saleh Musa {a residents of Markat village} as they stormed and searched their homes then released them at a later time.

Attack

On the evening of January 7th 2019, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located at the west area of Al-Tayba village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 11:10, Israeli forces raided Izbat Shufat village and detained a National Security Force officer.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mustafa Mohammad Mustafa Hamad {a National Security Force officer} during their raid into Izbat Shufat village.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1 At 14:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Habalat tunnel{located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya city} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.
4. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at "Qaddumim" settlement junction {located along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:50.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abu Khadijat in Qalqiliya city.

Attack

At 15:50, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located in south west Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sara village junction {located along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus} then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.

Raid

1. At 22:40, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village.
2. At dawn on January 8th 2019, Israeli forces raided Nablus city and detained a resident.
3. At dawn on January 8th 2019, Israeli forces raided Iraq Burin village.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ala Al-Shabir in Nablus city.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 12:55, Israeli forces closed Za'tara junction military checkpoint {after they opened fire towards and injured woman then detained her} then reopened it at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:30, Israeli forces set up 2 military checkpoints at the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town and the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

At 12:55, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara military junction opened fire towards a woman and as a result injured her leg then detained her.

Injuries

Israeli forces opened fire towards and injured Aliya Awni Ahmad Khasib {A resident of Quffin town in Tulkarem district} near Za'tara junction military checkpoint.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Aliya Awni Ahmad Khasib {A resident of Quffin town in Tulkarem district} after opening fire towards and injuring her near Za'tara junction military checkpoint.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:35, Israeli forces set up several checkpoints along road (90), at the North and South entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles {after a Israeli settler vehicle was stoned} then withdrew at 11:35.

Raid

At 00:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village, stormed 2 homes then withdrew at 03:55.

BETHLEHEM

Military Checkpoints

At 22:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Container Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 22:20.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour city} then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Arab Al-Rashayda village then searched residents and vehicles until 17:20.
3. At 16:05, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the North and West entrances of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 11:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Jalla city, stormed and searched a merchant shop then withdrew at 12:20.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Ubidiya town, temporarily seized a vehicle owned by Mohammad Salah Darwish.
3. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town and detained 3 residents {including a child}.
4. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town, detained a child and summoned Ra'fat Khalid Sabah to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ameen Mahmoud Thawabta, Ali Mahmoud Taqatqa {14 years old} and Radi Salah Mohammad Taqatqa in Beit Fajjar town.
2. Israeli forces detained Mo'ayad Abdallah Al-Amour {17 years old} in Teqou' town.

Temporary Detention

At 13:10, Israeli forces positioned at Container Military checkpoint detained Nadeem Mohammad Abdel-Hafith Issa {A National Security Force Officer} then released him at 13:25.

Attack

At 19:45, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Nashash area junction in Um Al-Rakaba area located in Al-Khader town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

At 22:25, Israeli forces closed the steel gate located at the west entrance of Teqou' town and impeded the free flow of traffic.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Wadi Al-Harba area located in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Dura town and summoned Eid Musa Ibrawish to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 02:35.
2. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Kahil town then stormed and searched a vehicle repair shop owned by Rami Falah.
3. At dawn on January 8th 2019, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, Ithna and Yatta towns then stormed and searched several homes.

Detention

On January 7th 2019, Israeli forces detained Osama Mohammad Yusef Alk-Salameen {A resident of Al-Samou' town} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding North Gaza and Central Gaza districts.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

At 08:00 on January 7th 2019, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 70 m into the vicinity of North Beit Lahiya town and leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 14:00.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Raid

At 08:30 on January 7th 2019, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of east Deir Al-Balah town and leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 15:20.

Attack

At 16:20 on January 7th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents located near the border fence in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 21:15 on January 7th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in North Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
