DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. At 08:00,the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Ibrahim Sami Mutair - residents of Qalandia camp.
2. At 08:00,the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the Old City of Jerusalem detained the citizen: Suad Obeidiya - residents of the city of Jerusalem.
3. At 08:00,the Israeli occupation forces positioned on the road to the settlement of "Ma'ale Adumim" detained Ahmed Youssef Badr - a customs police officer.
4. At 09:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained Khaled Abu Ghannam, in the Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem.
5. At 09:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Yousef Ahmed Al-Hawas, in the Shuafat camp in Jerusalem.
6. At 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the town of Beit Hanina, citizen: Khaled Al-Zeer.
7. At 20:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Sufian Al-Ajlouni, in the Old City of Jerusalem, after storming his house.

Temporary Detention

On the evening of 07/08/ 2021, the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem imposed house arrest for 5 days on 2 citizens - residents of the town of Beit Hanina, in addition to a financial guarantee, as a condition for their release: Bahjat Masoud and Yasser Ghaith.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

At 20:35, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Bir Zeit, and detained 2 civilians.

Detention

The two detainees in the town of Bir Zeit are: Abd al-Rahman Hussein al-Jalis, and Faris Ahmad Zamra - both residents of al-Jalazun camp.

Attack

On the afternoon of 07/08/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, under the pretext that they were being thrown with stones.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 02:05, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Tulkarm, detained 2 citizens (a citizen and his mother), and withdrew at 05:45.

Detention

The two detainees in the city of Tulkarm are: Muhammad Bilal Amarneh, and his mother - Iman Khalil Amarneh.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 20:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Azzoun town, to search cars and check the identities of the citizens.
2. At 20:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ezbet Al-Tabib, to search cars and check the identities of the citizens.

NABLUS

Attack

1. On the evening of 08/07/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas at citizens participating in a demonstration against settlers’ attacks and land confiscation in favor of settlement projects and left several citizens suffocating from tear gas inhalation.
2. On the evening of 08/07/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the town of Qusrafired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas at citizens participating in a demonstration to demand the handover of the body of : Muhammad Farid Hassan, wounding 17 citizens, and lefts 27 citizens suffocating from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

1. The wounded man during confrontations with the occupation forces in the Jabal Sabih area in the town of Beita (his name is not known).
2. The 17 wounded during confrontations with the occupation forces near the entrance to the town of Qusra (their names are not known).

Settlement Activities

On 07/08/2021, the Israeli occupation forces reconstructed a 2.5 km settlement road from Hawara camp to the Khallet Abhar area on the eastern side of the village of Rujib, east of Nablus.

Settlers Attacks

On 07.08. 2021, a group of settlers seized a plot of about 20 dunums in Basin No. 19 of the lands of Jalud village, owned by the citizen: Rashid Mahmoud Hajj Muhammad, and began razing it.

On 07.08. 2021, a group of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, set up mobile homes “caravans” on the lands of the citizens of the town of Bruqin.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:45, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city of Jericho, to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Tekoa, to search cars and check the identities of citizens until 11:40.
2. At 12:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Nahalin, to search cars and check the identities of citizens until 12:35.

HEBRON

Raid

1. At 16:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Yatta and detained a citizen.
2. At 06:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Sa'ir, and detained 2 citizens (brothers).

Detention

1. The detainee in Yatta is: Ismail Abdel Hadi Makhamra.
2. The two detainees in the town of Sa'ir are: Nassar Issa Muhammad Jabareen, and his brother Ayoub.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. • On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• On 10/05/2021, the Israeli occupation forces closed the sea of ​​the Gaza Strip, in front of fishermen until further notice.

At 08:00 on 07/08/ 2021, Israeli gunboats opened fire at the fishermen’s boats while chasing them in the open sea off the coast of Al-Sudaniya area, west of the town of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 18:45 on 07/08/2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Fukhari town, southeast of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom-Kerem Shalom Crossing: On 07/08/ 2021, it is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and fodder, raw materials for the agricultural and food industries, sterilization and cleaning materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 07/08/ 2021 is open in both directions (for citizens to leave and enter).

Attack

1. At 14:50 on 07.08. 2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards a site belonging to one of the Palestinian armed groups, east of Rafah.
2. At 19:00 on 07.08. 2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards a site belonging to one of the Palestinian armed groups, east of Rafah.
