WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure (per District)

At 24:00, In July 20th 2017, Israeli forces imposed a closure around the old city of Jerusalem and especially Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and set up checkpoints at the entrances thus preventing men under the age of 50 from entering the mosque until 18:00 on July 21st 2017.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Biddu town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. At dawn on July 20th 2017, Israeli forces detained Hamzah Ajjaj in the old city of Jerusalem.
2. On July 20th 2017, Israeli forces detained Rami Al-Fakhouri in Bab Hata neighborhood in the old city of Jerusalem.
3. At dawn on July 21st 2017, Israeli forces detained 7 residents: Hatem Abdel-Qadder, Nassar Ali Ajjaj, Al-Haj Ali Ajaj, Mohammad Daud Abu Al-Hadfi, Mohammad Al-Sayad, Suliman Nabil Al-Sayad, Amjad Mahmoud Abu Assab, Adnan Adel Ghayth, Hani Adel Ghayth, Musa Al-Abbassi, Ahed Abd Ma'rouf Al-Rashq , Zuheir Al-Za'anin and Nassar Issa Al-Hadami in Jerusalem city.

Attack

1. At 20:20, Israeli forces positioned at Jabal area junction located in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Ras Kabsah area in Abu Dis town.
3. At 21:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 21:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Abbsat gate {A Main gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque compound fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 36 residents including 2 critically injured.
5. At 23:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Al-Eisawiya village.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 36 unidentified residents {including 2 critically injured} during confrontations near Al-Absat gate {A main gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem.

Temporary Detention

On the evening of July 20th 2017, Israeli forces temporarily detained Billal Al-Natsheh {The Director of the Jerusalem Youth Conference} then released him after banning him from entering the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 48 hours.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. Since July 17th 2017, Israeli Authorities continued its closure of all gates leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and prevented residents from conducting prayers in the Mosque for the 4th consecutive day then reopened it after Installing Surveillance camera on the Mosque gates and installed Metal Detectors to search worshipers who enter the mosque.Israeli Authorities also refused to return the keys for Bab al-Asbatt {Lions' Gate}, Bab al-Majlis‎‎ {The Council Gate} and Bab Al-Malik Faysal {Gate of Darkness} in an attempt to change the old cities muslim quarter status quo established in 1967 and during which the Muslim Awqaf council {The council overseeing religious affairs for Al-Aqsa mosque compound} refused to accept the new restrictions imposed on Muslim worshipers entering the mosque and demonstrated their dissatisfaction to the new restrictions by conducting prayers near the gates leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
2. At 08:00, on July 20th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshiper.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Taybeh town junction {located along Al-Mu'arajat road connecting Ramallah and Jericho} then searched residents and vehicles until 10:15.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 21:50.
3. At 22:40, Israeli forces set up 3 checkpoints at the entrance of Sinjil town, beneath Ein Yabroud village and at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoints at Bardalah village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 23:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Jaroushiya village until 02:20.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 00:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqilya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Azzun town then stormed and searched several homes.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Nablus city and Assira Al-Shimaliya town then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of AL-Naqura village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 08:15, Israeli forces raided archeological sites in Sabastiya village until 10:50.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces raided Talouza village and summoned Ahmad Salah Ahmad Faris to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

SALFIT

Raid

At 11:25, Israeli forces raided Rafat village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Anas Khalid Sharif Ayash in Rafat village.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 00:35.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction then searched residents and vehicles until 15:55.

Raid

1. At 02:05, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town and stormed 3 homes.
2. At dawn on July 21st 2017, Israeli forces raided Jabal Handazah area located in South Bethlehem city, detained a resident after storming a home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Khalil Mohammad Musalim Al-Ma'ati {60 years old} in Jabal Handazah area located in South Bethlehem city.

Attack

1. At 12:25, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Teqou' town opened fire towards Mohammad Hussien Ahmad Tanouh {26 years old}{A resident of Teqou' town} and as a result killed him.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Teqou' town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 19:00, Israeli force positioned at the North entrance of Teqou' town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents.
4. At 19:15, Israeli forces positioned in Khirbeit Al-Deir area located in Teqou' town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Killings

Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Teqou' town opened fire towards and killed Mohammad Hussien Ahmad Tanouh {26 years old}{A resident of Teqou' town}.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Ziyad Mohammad Ali Al-Sha'er and Mohammad Nael Khalil Hamaydah near the North entrance of Teqou' town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 02:55 on July 20th 2017, Israeli forces detained Loia Sami Al-Tumayzi during their raid into Ithna town.

Physical Assault

At 11:05, Israeli forces assaulted Balqis Tarad Othman Zien and as a result left her hospitalised with contusions in Yatta town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

*Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 08:00 on July 19th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
