DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

On the evening of 22.07.2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces detained 3 residents (including the director of the Yabous Center): Rania Elias - (Director of the Yabous Cultural Center), Suhail Khoury - (Director of the National Institute of Music), Daoud Al-Ghoul - (Director of the Foundation Twilight) in Jerusalem.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces detained Muheib Al-Qutub near The Gate of Remission {Bab al-Huttah‎} (one of the doors leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalem.
3. On 22.07.2020, Israeli forces detained: Adham Abdel-Ibrahim Al-Shu’ani, a resident of Qalandiya refugee camp.
4. At dawn on 22.07.2020, the Israeli forces detained Adham Al-Hindi, in Shuafat refugee camp located in Jerusalem.
5. The two detainees in the town of Al-Ram are: Izz al-Din Abu Sobeih and Majd Abu Gharbia.

House Demolition

On 22.07.2020, Israeli forces demolished a home {under construction} owned by Sayef Al-Din Ali Jum'a for allegdly being built without a license.

Confiscation of Property

On 22. 07. 2020, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Yabous Cultural Center in Al-Zahra Street in Jerusalem, and confiscated computers and a number of financial files and documents related to the center.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30,groups of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

At 04:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes then detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Yusef Al-Ghalith in Al-Jalazoun camp.

Attack

At 04:30, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Jalazoun camp.

JENIN

Settlers Attacks

On 22.07.2020, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near "Homish" settlement {which was abandoned} closed the main road connecting Jenin and Nablus then stoned several vehicles travelling in the area and as a result damaged several vehicles.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 18:00,Israeli forces tightened their procedures at the “Enav” checkpoint, and impeded the movement of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jabarat village to search cars and verify citizens ’identities until 19:55.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city to search cars and verify citizens ’identities.

2. At 11:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

NABLUS

Raid

At 07:05, Israeli forces raided Jama'in town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hamza Assad Zeitawi in Jama'in town.

JERICHO

Raid

At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Aqbat Jabr camp in Jericho city then detained 2 residents {including a child}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Muhammad Talib Yaghi {17 years old}, and Abdullah Mahmoud Yaghi in Aqbat Jabr camp in Jericho city.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Husan town to search cars and check the identities of citizens until 19:30.
2. At 19:20,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town to search cars and check the identities of citizens until 20:10.

Raid

1. On 22.07.2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Waljat village and served a military order for the demolition of a home {under construction} owned by Ameen Fawzi Khalifa and served orders to halt construction on 6 Greenhouses owned by
Taha Muhammad Awad Allah, Imad Khader Al-Araj, Mahmoud Muhammad Abu Al-Tin, Yousef Al-Shweiki, Khaled Mohammed Al-Araj, and his brother Ahmed for allegedly being built without a licenses.
2. At 05:20, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and Al-Duhishet camp, detained 2 residents then with drew at 06:30.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Omar Yousef Hassan Manna {a resident of Al-Duhishet camp}, and Ahmed Burhan Daraghmeh {a resident of Bethlehem city } during their raid into Bethlehem city and Al-Duhishet camp.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ithna town then searched vehicles and checked the identities of citizens.
2. At 24:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Hebron city then searched vehicles and checked the identities of citizens.

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained 3 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Alaa Mujahid, Nizar Ramadan, and his son Ahmed in Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on 26. 08. 2014 The permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings and introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, and to expand the area of fishing for 6 miles with an increase of up to 12 miles with At the end of this year, the area of the "buffer security" area will be reduced from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and the prevention of assassinations, and the remaining issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

•Since the Morning of 28. 06. 2019 The occupying forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from the oasis area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza and even to the port of Gaza by 6 nautical miles, and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah beach to 15 nautical miles.

• The occupation forces violated the ceasefire, by firing from their positions on the Green Line in Gaza Governorate, and by gunboats shooting towards fishermen boats at sea in North Gaza Governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez" on 22. 07. 2020 is closed (excluding the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

On the morning of 22.07.2020,Israeli gunboats opened fire towards fishermen boats while they were chasing them at sea off the shore of the Sudanese area, west of the town of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Mantar-Karni crossing: closed since 02. 03. 2011 once and for all by unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shujaiya Crossing - "Nahal Oz" fuel crossing: closed since 04. 01. 2010 by unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

On the morning of 22.07.2020,occupation forces opened fire and launched tear gas canisters from their positions on the green line, towards a number of Palestinian farmers, east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

*Yasser Arafat International Airport: Closed.
*Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - Kerem Shalom: 22. 07. 2020 is partially open (for the introduction of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel, building materials for the private sector and internationally funded projects).
* Al-Awda port - Rafah: on 22. 07. 2020 is closed.
