WEST BANK

Closure

At 24:00 on March 9th 2017, Israeli Military enforced a full closure on the West Bank for the Jewish Holiday "Purim" and prevented residents and employees including those carrying valid permits from entering Israel except Diplomatic personnel, International Organization employees, Humanitarian cases until 24:00 on March 12th 2017.

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. At 12:00, Israeli forces detained Jawad Abu Sineneh in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. On the evening of March 9th 2017, Israeli forces detained 2 residents including a woman: Su'ad Al-Shayoukhi and Waseem Bader {Both residents of Silwan neighborhood}.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshiper.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Abboud town then searched residents and vehicles until 10:40.
2. At 09:10 and again at 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 21:45
3. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Ramallah} then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Taybeh town junction {located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho city} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:50.

Attack

At 18:10, Israeli forces positioned at the south entrance of Kafr Malik village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

TUBAS

Temporary Detention

At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned at Tayassir Military checkpoint detained 2 National Security Force Officers: Raed Al-Bazour and Mahmoud Dabibat then released them at 19:30.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Bazariya village junction located in east Bala town then searched residents and vehicles until 18:20.
2. At 22:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Lid town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.

Raid

At 13:40, Israeli forces raided Zieta town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 16:05.

Detention

At 00:50 on March 9th 2017, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Tariq Ahmad Al-Qarib during their raid into Tulkarem city.

Attack

At 13:40, Israeli forces fired live ammunition , stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Zieta town.

QALQILIYA

At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Azzun town.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:05, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints in the area between Burin and Tel villages then searched residents and vehicles until 10:00.
2. At 09:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles until 12:10.
3. At 11:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Odala village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:10.
4. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Osarin village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.
5. At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sabastiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 09:25, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 11:35.
2. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Beita town until 10:40.

At 18:15, Israeli settlers assaulted Abdel-Basset Ahmad {A resident of Assirah Al-Shamaliya village} as he was herding his goats.

At 14:10, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara checkpoint junction detained Diya Al-Din Rizq Hamidat {A resident of Al-Jalazoun camp in Ramallah & Al-Bireh District}

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Dead Sea junction then searched residents and vehicles until 19:00.

BETHLEHEM

Military Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Container Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur} then searched residents and vehicles until 17:50.
3. At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 18:00.
4. At 18:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:25.
5. At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Aqbat Hasnah area located near Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:30.

Raid

1. At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and summoned 2 residents: Khader Khalil Saleem Shuwakat and Adnan Zuban to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city, summoned 2 residents: Assad Rashid Darwish {16 years old} and Hamza Al-Nabtiti to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
3. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Ubidiya town and summoned Qutayba Mahmoud Musa Khalifa {17 years old} to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
4. At dawn on March 10th 2017, Israeli forces raided Irtas village and clashed with several Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

At 22:20, Israeli forces positioned at Container Military checkpoint detained Waleed Khalid Sharaf {A resident of Abu Dis town in Jerusalem city}.

Attack

At dawn on Mach 10th 2017, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Irtas village.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 07:35 on March 9th 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Wadi Al-Juz area {located at the entrance of Bani Na'im town} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Yunis area {located along the main road connecting Hebron and Bethlehem districts} then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Yatta town, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 01:30.

Attack

At 16:25, Israeli forces positioned at Arub camp fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents and homes for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

At 07:45 on March 9th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers from "Magon" settlement stormed agricultural land in Al-Tuwani village located in east Yatta town, chopped down several Olive trees and sprayed toxic chemicals on agricultural crops owned by Fadil Gibril Musa Rib'i.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• Israeli Military forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire and launching tank artillery shells from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza and Khan Yunis District.
• Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by launching projectiles towards the Green Line.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 23:20 on March 9th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched tank artillery shells towards agricultural land in south east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 15:00 on March 9th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Abbasan town.
2. At 23:30 on March 9th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched tank Artillery shells towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town.

Palestinian Attacks

At 23:15, a group of Israeli settlers launched projectiles towards the Green Line .

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
