WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Ram town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. At dawn on March 17th 2019, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Fadi Al-Matour and Arrin Al-Za'anin in Jerusalem city.
2. At dawn on March 17th 2019, Israeli forces detained Faris Ameen Awisat after storming and searching his home in Jabal Al-Mukkabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Deportation

On the evening of March 15th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning 2 residents: Ahmad Al-Shawish and Mohammad Jamjoum from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 2 weeks as a condition for their release after being detained by Israeli forces at an earlier time.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On March 16th 2019, the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for all civilians for 24 hours daily except for Saturdays during which the checkpoint will be open from 22:00 until 10:00 on Sunday.

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 15:45, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Zied and Mazara Al-Nubani villages, clashed with several residents after storming and searching several homes and as a result injured a resident in Qarwat Bani Zied village then confiscated surveillance camera footage from a merchant shop and withdrew at 17:30.

Attack

At 15:45, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several merchant shops during their raid into Qarwat Bani Zied village and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Hamam Nael Fa'eq Arrar during clashes in Qarwat Bani Zied village.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

On March 16th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the bypass road in east Jenin city, detained 2 residents and confiscated a vehicle.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the bypass road in east Jenin city detained 2 residents: Salah Adel Bani Arat and Ahmad Ibrahim Abu Raghat {both are residents of Jenin camp}.

Confiscation of Property

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the bypass road in east Jenin city confiscated a vehicle after detaining 2 residents.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 03:50, Israeli forces raided Irtah neighborhood in Tulkarem city then stormed and searched a home.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hablat town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.
2. At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Attacks

At 18:20, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Far'ata village opened fire towards several farmers who were farming agricultural land.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

On the evening of March 16th 2019, Israeli forces intensified their restriction at Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

On the evening of March 16th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya and Amuriyat villages, stormed and searched several homes and confiscated surveillance camera footage.

Temporary Detention

At 16:45, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara military checkpoint temporarily detained Wassim Aqab Falih Mansour {a resident of Kafr Qalil village} then released him at a later time.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

On March 16th 2019, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At 14:30, Israeli forces raided Salfit city and clashed with several residents.

Attack

At 14:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Salfit city.

Confiscation of Property

At 19:35, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint confiscated a vehicle owned by Shawqi Ibrahim Mahmoud Obied {a resident of Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqiliya district}.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 18:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, detained a child then withdrew at 06:15.

Detention

1. At 12:15, Israeli forces detained Sami Abdel-Jabber Attiya Al-Hasanat {a resident of Al-Duhishat camp in Bethlehem city}.
2. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Ali Yusef Ghanimat {17 years old} in Al-Khader town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Khilat Al-Miyat village located in east Yatta town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:35, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and summoned 2 residents: Baha Abu Shikhidum and Billal Abu Shikhidum to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Khan Yunis districts and as a result injured a resident.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

At 08:30 on March 16th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 14:00 on March 16th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Al-Maghazi camp and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident after opening fire towards the border fence in east Al-Maghazi camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:30 on March 16th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Fakhari town located in south east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open only for those leaving for pilgrimage to Mecca.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
