WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on May 6th 2019 The Israeli occupation forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of "the anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel" and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for diplomatic and international missions, After prior coordination, until 24:00 on May 9th 2019.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Ram town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. On the evening of May 8th 2019, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mahdi Abu Assab and Mohammad Abu Assab in Jerusalem city.
2. At 22:30, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya military checkpoint detained Moayad Hamad.

Attack

At 22:45, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Amoud area in the old city of Jerusalem fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several worshipers who were conducting evening prayers in Al-Aqsa mosque after alleged stoning incident and as a result injured 6 residents {including a resident who was injured in the eye by a rubber coated steel bullet}.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 6 unidentified residents {including a resident who was injured in the eye by a rubber coated steel bullet} during clashes with worshipers in Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since May 6 2019,the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for all civilians from 10:00 until 22:00 daily during which the checkpoint will be open from 07:00 until 22:00 for those entering Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities.

Flying Checkpoints

On May 5th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village, impeded the free flow of traffic forcing the citizens to take alternative routes to their destination (on the pretext that settlers could celebrate near Halmish settlement in commemoration of the "establishment of the State of Israel").

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

On the evening of May 9th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ya'bad town and detained a resident.

Raid

1. At 13:30 on May 9th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Yamoun town and Ti'nik village until 16:30.
2. At 07:50 on May 10th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Silah Al-Harthiya town and Ti'nik village.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near Ya'bad town detained Alaa Tawfiq Ghawadra {a resident of Bi'r Al-Basha village}.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 22:25, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 22:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Azzun town and Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 23:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shavie Shamron"settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Deir Istiya town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned near "Arail" settlement detained Khalid Dahish Marouf Bani Fadil {a resident of Aqraba town in Nablus district}.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

1.At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Khas and Al-Nu'man villages until 13:05.
2. At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town until 13:05.
3. At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town until 03:05.
4. At 05:05, Israeli forces raided Beit Sahour city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip and on April 1st 2019 allowed the increase of fishing area from Al-Waha area which is located northwest o Beit Lahiya town in the northern Gaza Strip and up to the port of Gaza to 6 nautical miles , increase from the port of Gaza and to Wadi Gaza to 12 nautical miles, Gaza and up to Khan Yunis beach to 15 nautical miles, and from Khan Yunis beach and south of Rafah beach to 12 nautical miles and on April 30th 2019 reduced the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles.
•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed Except for emergency humanitarian emergencies with prior coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 14:30 on May 9th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is partially open for the entry and exit of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
