WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on April 29th 2017, The Israeli Military imposed a full closure on the West Bank for " The 69th Independence Day Celebration for the State of Israel" thus preventing residents and laborers {including those carrying Entry Permits} from entering the city of Jerusalem and Israel with the exception of Diplomats, International Organization employees and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on May 2nd 2017.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village.
2. At 23:00, Israeli forces raided Biddu town and detained a resident.
3. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Riyad Mohammad Abu Eid in Biddu town.

Deportation

On the evening of May 1st 2017, Israeli courts in Jerusalem city handed a sentence to Soumud Naser Abu Khadeir {A resident of Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city} preventing her from entering Damascus gate {Bab Al-Amoud} and Herod's Gate {Bab Al-Sahira} in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 2 weeks in addition to imposing a financial penalty of 1000 NIS in order to be released from Israeli Police custody {after she was arrested while participating in demonstrations in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners who are on hunger strike}.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshiper.

Settlers Attacks

At 02:15, a group of Israeli settlers from Geva Binyamin (Adam) settlement located near Jaba' village assaulted and threw stones at residents and as a result injured Jamil Hathalin and as a result left him hospitalized with a head contusions.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:25,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Nathim village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 22:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 18:10, Israeli forces raided Deir Nathim village, clashed with several residents and as a result injured a child and left him hospitalized.

Attack

At 18:10, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Deir Nathim village and as a result injured a child and left him hospitalized.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured the child Jihad Al-Tamimi {16 years old} during clashes in Deir Nathim village.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:00, Israeli settlers stormed Eiyoun Al-Haramiya area {located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus} and stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the road then withdrew at 11:20.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Jarrba and Marka villages until 20:15.
2. At 21:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Silah Al-Harthiya and Al-Yamoun towns and Ti'inik and Kafr Dan villages until 24:00.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 16:15, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 16:25.

Raid

At 13:45, Israeli forces raided Baqa Al-Sharqiya town and Nazlat Issa and Abu Nar villages until 16:35.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:45 and again at 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqilya city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:10 and again 21:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Qalqilya city.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 07:50 on May 1st 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junctions {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles until 08:30.
2. At 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sarah village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqilya} , detained 3 residents then withdrew at 20:40.

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at Sarah village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqilya} detained 3 residents : Mohammad Ibrahim Mohammad Odeh, Khalid Hassan Mahmoud Al-Qaroum and Ahmad Affif Mohammad Taha {All are residents of Bidya town in Nablus city}.

Settlers Attacks

At 12:30, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in B'ir Al-Sha'r area located in south Madma village then withdrew at a later time.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 07:45 on May 1st 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 08:00.

BETHLEHEM

Military Checkpoints

At 13:45, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Container Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:10.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:10.
2. At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:15.
3. At 20:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Khader town cemetery then searched residents and vehicles until 22:10.

Raid

At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 03:55.

Attack

At 15:15, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Husan village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sa'ir town then searched residents and vehicles until 10:10.
2. At 15:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Wadi Al-Huriya area junction located in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.
3. At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles until 20:40.

Raid

At 14:40, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 16:10.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

On May 1st 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound and raised Israeli flags in the area to Celebrate the 69th Independence day for the state of Israel.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Khan Yunis districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats in North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed on May 1st 2017 for the 69th Independence day for the state of Israel { with the exception of medical emergencies and Humanitarian cases until 13:00 and for those returning to the Gaza strip until 15:00.

Attack

1. At 08:30 on May 1st 2017, ,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 18:15 on May 1st 2017, ,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 07:45 on May 1st 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed on May 1st 2017 the 69th Independence day for the state of Israel .
