Daily Report May 23, 2019

At dawn on May 22nd 2019, Israeli forces detained Abdallah Husam Abu Khalil during their raid into Hizma town {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.

Since May 6 2019,the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for all civilians from 10:00 until 22:00 daily during which the checkpoint will be open from 07:00 until 22:00 for those entering Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities.

1. At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya town and detained 4 residents after confiscating their vehicle.
2. At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ni'ma village and detained a University student.

At 04:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Zababda and Qabatiya towns then detained 2 residents in Al-Zababda town.

At 11:30, Israeli forces confiscated a truck owned by Mohammad Jamil Bisharat in Al-Jarouf area of Khirbeit Humsa Al-Foqa located in the North Jordan valley.

At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Quffin town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured a child and detained 4 residents {including a child} then withdrew at 03:45.

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Mohammed Adel Ibrahim Tohma {15 years old}, Khalil Muwaffaq Tohma, Ayman Yousef Maree Zabin, and Adel Ibrahim Tohma in Quffin town.

At 00:20, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Quffin town and as a result injured a child.

1. At 13:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Eliyas village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:00.
2. At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town and detained a residents.
3. At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and detained a resident.

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites then withdrew at a later time.
2. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Orif village, detained 2 residents {including a National Security Force officer}.

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Anwar Ribhi Falah Al-Safadi {a National Security Force officer} and Usayed Mohammad Abdel-Hafith Shihada in Orif villag.

At 18:30,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya town {after an alleged stoning attack towards a Israeli settlers bus near "Emmanuel settlement}
2. At 02:10, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town until 02:55.

At dawn on May 22nd 2019 and again at 00:40 on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village, detained 5 residents, confiscated a vehicle and summoned 2 residents: Imad Ali Salama Abayat and Anas Ali Abayat to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 00:50.

Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Mahmoud Muhammad Nawawra, Abdullah Mahmud Nawawrah, Muhammad 'Abd al-Qader Ta'amra, Sami Musa Hussein Nawawrah and Muhammad Ahmad Nawawrah in Fasayil village.

At 00:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages in Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 02:20.

1. At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town and detained a child.
2. At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Mina village and detained a resident.

1. Israeli forces detained Nour Mahmoud Al-Amour {15 years old} in Teqou' town.
2. Israeli forces detained Wadah Nimr Mohammad Kawazba in Al-Minah village.

At 01:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na'im town and confiscated a vehicle.

At dawn on May 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Ma'en area located in south east Yatta town and summoned Mohammad Taya Ibrahim Shihada to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

1. At 19:10, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Fah's military area located in the old city of Hebron detained Yahya Mahmoud Ashour {A National Security Force officer}.
2. On the evening of May 22nd 2019, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Al-Haroub {a resident of Deir Sammit village}.

At 00:45, the child :Khaldoun Imad Da'ana {13 years old} was hospitalized with a fractured arm after Israeli forces assaulted him in the old city of Hebron.

At 01:00, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near the entrance of Bani Na'im town confiscated a vehicle owned by Mus'ab Manasra.

At 16:50, Israeli forces installed a Military post in Tel Al-Rumayda neighborhood in the old city of Hebron.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
