WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

* Since 24:00 on April 29th 2017, The Israeli Military imposed a full closure on the West Bank for " The 69th Independence Day Celebration for the State of Israel" thus preventing residents and laborers {including those carrying Entry Permits} from entering the city of Jerusalem and Israel with the exception of Diplomats, International Organization employees and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on May 2nd 2017.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Biddu town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 20:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and clashed with several residents.

Detention

1. At 02:15 on May 2nd 2017, Israeli forces stormed The Bedouin community near Jaba' village detained Ali Mohammad Malihat after he was assaulted by several Israeli settlers from Geva Binyamin (aka Adam) after the stormed the Bedouin community as mentioned in the previous report.
2. At 08:00, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Miflih and Mazen Miflih in Sur Baher village.
3. At dawn on May 3rd 2017, Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Mohammad Musa Odah, Islam Ahmad Al-Awar, Majd Kamal Al-Awar, Foad Ahmad Al-Qaq, Ziyad Ahmad Al-Qaq and Mohammad Ali Abu Taya in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city,
4. At dawn on May 3rd 2017, Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Omar Khawayis, Suliman Abu Al-Hawa, Mohammad Arafat Abu Sabatin and Ibrahim Arafat Abu Sabatin in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city

Attack

At 20:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshiper.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge , detained a resident then withdrew at 13:00.
2. At 19:40, Israeli forces set up 3 checkpoints at the entrance of Deir Nathim, Deir Ibzi' and Ras Kar Kar villages then searched residents and vehicles until 21:45.

Raid

1. At 07:45 on May 2nd 2017, Israeli forces raided Ein Yabroud village and clashed with several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 19:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and stormed a Merchant shop.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near Atarah town bridge detained Mohammad Haytham Zien.

Attack

At 07:45 on May 2nd 2017, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Ein Yabroud village.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Kafr Ra'i and Fahma village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:40.

Raid

1. At 08:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Jarba and Marka village until 12:00.
2. At 16:40, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town.
3. At 18:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Arqa and Al-Tarm village.
4. At 21:55, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ra'i town, Anza', Fahma and Al-Ramat villages and clashed with several residents for alleged stoning in Fahmah village.

Attack

At 21:55,Israeli forces opened fire towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Fahma village.

TUBAS

Raid

At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Tubas city and Tamoun town until 04:40.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqilya city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 23:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Qalqilya city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home and a storage room and confiscated surveillance camera footage in the home then withdrew at 05:25.

Attack

At 01:25, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed a home and a storage room during their raid into Qalqilya city.

Confiscation of Property

At 01:25, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from the home of Khalid Shu'ayeb during their raid into Qalqilya city.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shave Shomron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:35.
2.At 13:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Bazariya town then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
3. At 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Madma village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.

Raid

At 19:15, Israeli forces raided Burqa village.

Attack

At 21:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Qusra village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left a resident hospitalised with contusions.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Abdel-Athim Ahmad Mahmoud Odah during confrontations in Qusra village.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 13:15, a group of Israeli Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burqa village and chopped off the limbs of several Olive trees and attacked a home owned by Mohammad Ibrahim Abu Hussien then withdrew at 14:30.
2. At 18:40, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Madma village, assaulted several residents then withdrew under the protection of Israeli Military forces.
3. At 20:50, a group of Israeli settlers from "Yitzhar" settlement stormed the east area of Asira Al-Qibliya village, stoned the home of Qassim Salah then withdrew after several local resident confronted them.
4. At 23:20, a group of Israeli settlers positioned at "Yitzhar" settlement junction stoned residents and vehicles travelling near the area then withdrew at 23:50.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 12:25.
2. At 21:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 22:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Zabidat village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 22:25, Israeli forces raided Marj Al-Na'ja village and clashed with several residents for alleged stoning.

Attack

At 22:25, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Marj Al-Na'ja village.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Khirbiet Al-Deir village near Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 10:30.

Raid

1. At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 03:40.
2. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town until 03:40.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmad Ziyad Abdallah Darbiya {17 years old}, Yasser Ziyad Yasser Darbiya {15 years old} and Ahmad Sami Mahmoud Darbiya {15 years old}.

Attack

At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near Ayda camp in Bethlehem city fire rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

At 13:05, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Thaher Al-Ziyah area in Al-Khader town located near "Sede Bo'az" settlement outpost {built on residential owned land} and demolished a water well owned by Ahmad Yusef Ghanim.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:35, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the entrances of Al-Samou' and Al-Thahriya the searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Einun village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 14:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fa'hs area located in south Hebron city and detained a resident.
4. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Halhul town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
5. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 14:20, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed a home, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:55.
2. At 20:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Fuwar camp {for alleged shooting towards a Israeli Military watchtower near the camp entrance} and detained 2 residents.
3. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Ithna town until 03:55.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fah's area located in south Hebron city detained Mohammad Abu Turki {A resident of Qalqas village}.
2. Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Farid Jabar in Hebron city.
3. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Wisam Subhi Abdel-Fatah Maghasla and Mohammad Ali Khadirat.

Closure of main Roads

Since 21:40, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Beit Einun village and impeded the free flow of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards North Gaza and Central Gaza districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats in Central Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed on May 2st 2017 for the 69th Independence day for the state of Israel { with the exception of medical emergencies and Humanitarian cases.

Attack

At 18:00 on May 2nd 2017, Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 17:30 on May 2nd 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp
2. At 00:15 on May 3rd 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Deir Al-Balah city

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed on May 1st 2017 the 69th Independence day for the state of Israel .
