DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

House Demolition

On 30.05.2020, Israeli authorities forced 2 residents:Ahmed Mohammed Suleiman Mashahra (120 square meters of house area) and his brother Imad (80 square meters of his house) to demolish their homes {under construction} After notifying them earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event of the demolition by the occupation authorities, on the grounds of non-authorization.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:40,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Arana town to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

Injuries

On 30.05.2020,Israeli forces positioned at the separation wall gate in Annin village assaulted Mohammad Nayef Issa {a resident of Anin village} as he was returning from work inside the Green Line and as a result left him hospitalized with fractures and contusions.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 13:00 and again at 18:30,Israeli forces tightened their procedures at the “Enav” checkpoint, and impeded the movement of traffic until 19:00.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:40,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Karni Shamron" settlement junction {along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus} to search cars and verify citizens identities.
2. At 20:20,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

Attack

At 17:30,Israeli forces fired near the eastern entrance (closed) in the village of Kafr Qaddum, rubber-coated metal bullets and stun and tear gas canisters towards the demonstrators protesting the closure of the village entrance, on the pretext that they were throwing stones and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 15:55,Israeli forces tightened their procedures at the Hawara checkpoint and impeded traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:35,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Nablus city and Assira town to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:30,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the North entrance of Jericho city to search cars and check the identities of citizens until 11:45.
2. At 21:20,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the South entrance of Jericho city to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

BETHLEHEM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:00,Israeli forces tightened their procedures at the (Al-Container) checkpoint, and impeded the movement of traffic 13:00.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arrub camp to search cars and check the identities of citizens.

Detention

At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned near "Kiryat Arba'" settlement detained Mohammad Azzam Hassan Abu Qubeita {a resident of Hebron}.

Settlers Attacks

1. On 30.05.2020, a group of Israeli settlers positioned in the old city of Hebron stoned and threw trash towards residents near Al-Shalalt road in the city.
2. On the evening of 30.05.2020, a group of Israeli settlers from "Migon" settlement installed a tent on land in the village of Al-Tawani, east of Yatta in an attempt to establish a new settlement outpost.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on 26. 08. 2014 The permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings and introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, and to expand the area of fishing for 6 miles with an increase of up to 12 miles with At the end of this year, the area of the "buffer security" area will be reduced from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and the prevention of assassinations, and the remaining issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.
•Since the Morning of 28. 06. 2019 The occupying forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from the oasis area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza and even to the port of Gaza by 6 nautical miles, and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah beach to 15 nautical miles.
• The occupying forces violated the ceasefire by firing from their positions on the Green Line in North Gaza and Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez" on 30. 05. 2020 is closed (excluding the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

At 14:30 on 30.05.2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards agricultural land in North Beit Lahia town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Mantar-Karni crossing: closed since 02. 03. 2011 once and for all by unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shujaiya Crossing - "Nahal Oz" fuel crossing: closed since 04. 01. 2010 by unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 18:30 on 30.05.2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents near the border fence in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

*Yasser Arafat International Airport is Closed.
*Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - Kerem Shalom on 30.05.2020 is closed (due to Saturday holidays).
* Al-Awda port - Rafah: is closed on 30.05.2020.
