WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on May 6th 2019 The Israeli occupation forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of "the anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel" and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for diplomatic and international missions, After prior coordination, until 24:00 on May 9th 2019.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Duqqu village then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. On May 8th 2019, Israeli forces detained Murad Abu Shafa' in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. At 24:00, Israeli forces detained Munib Mahdi Abu Assab after storming and searching his home in the old city of Jerusalem.
3. At 01:20, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city detained Munthir Al-Najjar {a resident of Shu'fat camp}.

Attack

At 23:00, Israeli forces positioned Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several worshipers after they finished evening prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since May 6 2019,the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for all civilians from 10:00 until 22:00 daily during which the checkpoint will be open from 07:00 until 22:00 for those entering Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities.

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. On the evening of May 7th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Sabastiya village and detained a National Security force officer.
2. At 08:45 on May 8th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Orif village then stormed and searched several homes and detained 4 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the entrance of Sabastiya village detained Faris Abdel-Rahman Awad Hamran.
2. Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Ussyed Mashhour Abdel Hafeez Shehadeh, As'ad Al-Safadi, Firas Mohammed Shehadeh, Abdullah Bahaa Shehadeh in Orif village.

Settlers Attacks

At 18:35, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed archaeological sites in Burqa village and celebrated for the Jewish holidays.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Deir Istiya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Yassuf village then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Malee Ofrim" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:40,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Marah Rabah village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town until 21:00.
2. At 20:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Jalla city until 23:35.

Detention

At 05:50 on May 8th 2019, Israeli forces detained Islam Bassam Mohammad Id'ies in Beit Sahour city.

HEBRON

Attack

On May 8th 2019, Israeli forces positioned in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several school children near Al-Hajariya boys secondary school for alleged stoning and as a result left several school children suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip and on April 1st 2019 allowed the increase of fishing area from Al-Waha area which is located northwest o Beit Lahiya town in the northern Gaza Strip and up to the port of Gaza to 6 nautical miles , increase from the port of Gaza and to Wadi Gaza to 12 nautical miles, Gaza and up to Khan Yunis beach to 15 nautical miles, and from Khan Yunis beach and south of Rafah beach to 12 nautical miles and on April 30th 2019 reduced the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles.

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed With the exception of the departure and return of humanitarian emergencies coordinated in advance, and for the return of Gaza identity card holders returning to the Gaza Strip only from 07:30 to 13:00 hours.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 09:00 on May 5th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood in east Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is partially open for the entry and exit of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
