DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At dawn on 13 October 2020, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Eizariya and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At dawn on 12/10/2020, the occupation forces detained Yahya Mamoun Fayez Sobeih. during their raid into Hizma town (in addition to what was mentioned in the previous report).
2. At dawn on 12. 10. 2020, the occupation forces detained Muhannad Al-Harbi in Shuafat Camp in Jerusalem.
3. At 19:00, the occupation forces detaineed 2 civilian Nashat Hassan and Bashar Hassan - (both are residents of Qusra town in Nablus governorate).s at Hizma checkpoint.
4. The detainee in the town of Al-Eizariya is: Muhammad Bassam Jawdat Adwan.

Deportation

1. At 20:00, the occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem imposed deportation of 2 children (siblings), for a period of 10 days from the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to house detention for a period of 5 days, as a condition for their release after they arrested them earlier Abd al-Rahman al-Bashiti, 16, and his brother Hatem, 17.
2. At 20:30, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem imposed deportation on the citizen: Issa Bashir Musa Fairawi, for a period of 10 days from the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to a fine of 6000 shekels.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 04:45, Israeli forces raided Jalazoun camp, and detained 2 citizens.
2. At 04:50, Israeli forces raided Ramallah and Qadoura camp in the city, and clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a home, and detained a citizen in the camp.
3. At 05:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Liqia and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The two detainees in Jalazoun camp are: Muhammad Munir Nakhleh and Dawud Rafiq al-Daboubi.
2. The detainee in Qadoura camp in Ramallah is: Muhammad Al-Salhi.
3. The detainee in the town of Beit Liqia is: Anas Mafarah.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:50, a group of settlers entered the citizens' agricultural lands belonging to the village of Burqa, and attacked a number of citizens while they were picking the olive fruit from their land, which led to the injury of 5 civilians - minor injuries, and material damage to two vehicles, as the occupation forces intervened. Rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters were fired at the citizens while they were trying to confront the settlers.

Injuries

The 5 wounded, as a result of an attack by settlers in the village of Burqa (whose names are not known).

Attack

1. At 11:50, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the lands of Burqa village at a number of Palestinian farmers while they were picking the olive harvest from their land, while they were trying to stop the group of settlers who attacked them.
2. At 04:50, the occupying forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into Ramallah and the Kaddoura camp, on the pretext that they had been thrown with stones while they were raiding a house.

Closure of main Roads

1. At 14:20, the occupation forces closed the road connecting the villages of Ein Yabroud and Dora Al-Qara`, in front of traffic.
2. At 18:50, the occupation forces closed the iron gate on the road leading to the villages of Kharbatha Bani Harith and Deir Qaddis, in front of traffic.

JENIN

Raid

At 11:05 and again at at 21:15,Israeli forces raided the village of Zabuba, and conducted a patrol as confrontations took place with the citizens while on the patrol.

Attack

At 21:15, the occupying forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into Zobuba village, on the pretext that they had been throwing stones while on patrol.

TUBAS

Raid

. At 08:15, Israeli forces raided the village of Ain Al-Bayda in the northern Jordan Valley, and stormed and searched 4 homes.
2. At 11:30, Israeli forces raided Kardala village in the northern Jordan Valley, and stormed a house.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 19:10, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at "Ainaf" checkpoint, and blocked traffic until 22:50.

Raid

1. At 21:55, Israeli forces raided the village of Shoufah, and patrolled until 23:15.
2. At 03:35, Israeli forces raided Tulkarm city and Tulkarm camp in the city, and clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a number of houses, and detained a citizen in the camp, and withdrew at 05:05.
3. At 06:35, Israeli forces raided Attil town and detained 2 citizens.

Detention

1. The detainee in Tulkarm camp is: Muhammad Khuraish.
2. The two detainees in Attil town are: Samir Makhoul and Muhammad Abu Khalil.

Attack

At 03:35, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones during the raid on a number of houses during their raid into Tulkarm and Tulkarm camp in the city

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:25, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint on the road between the towns of Jayyous and Azzun, to search cars and check citizens' identities until 20:55.

Raid

1. At 22:15, Israeli forces raided the city of Qalqilya, and conducted a patrol until 00:15.
2. At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Jeet village, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 04:00.
3. At 02:00,Israeli forces raided the village of Kafr Qaddum, where clashes took place with citizens as they stormed and searched of a number of houses, and assaulted a female citizen, and an elderly citizen was injured - with a stroke, as a result of her intimidation as they stormed and search of her home and was later taken to the Hospital for treatment, then detained a citizen, and withdrew at 04:45.

Detention

The Detainee in the village of Kafr Qaddum is: Muhammad Saleh Shteiwi.

Physical Assault

At 02:00, the occupying forces assaulted the citizen: Farida Shteiwi, 55, and the citizen, and Nazika Shteiwi, 65, suffered a stroke, as a result of her intimidation as they stormed and searched of her home, and she was subsequently admitted to the government hospital in Nablus for treatment after their raid into the village of Kafr Qaddum

Attack

1. At 18:30, the Israeli occupation forces, present in the vicinity of the "Eyal" crossing, north of Qalqilya, fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.
2. At 02:00, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into the village of Kafr Qaddum, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones as they stormed and searched a number of houses.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 20:00, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at Beit Furik checkpoint, and blocked traffic until 20:50.

Closure of main Roads

At 18:30, the occupation forces closed the entrance to Sebastia village, in front of traffic.

Settlers Attacks

At 15:00, a group of settlers entered the agricultural lands of Burin village, and stole the olive harvest from the land owned by Yahya Al-Kurdi.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Deir Ballut, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Settlers Attacks

At 10:00, a group of settlers stole the olive harvest and broke the branches of about 60 trees in the area behind the separation wall, which belongs to the village of Masha, near the settlement of "Etz Ephraim", which is established on the citizens' lands north of Masha village.

JERICHO

Raid

At 23:15, Israeli forces raided the village of Al-Auja, and conducted a patrol.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:35, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Al-Khader, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 22:05.
2. At 18:40, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 22:05.

Raid

1. At 00:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 04:40.
2. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Aida camp in Bethlehem, and patrolled until 03:15.
3. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided the village of Marah Rabah, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 04:25.

Detention

1. At 15:20, the occupation forces detained the child: Mutassim Musa Hegazy, 14 years old, resident of Bethlehem, while he was visiting the Israeli intelligence, based on prior notification.
2. The detainee in the village of Marah Rabah is: Khalil Muhammad Khalil al-Sheikh.

Settlement Activities

On 12/10/2020, the occupation authorities approved the construction of 500 new settlement housing units in the settlement of "Tzur Hadassah", at the expense of the citizens' lands belonging to the village of Wadi Fukin.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:00, a group of settlers, with the protection of the occupation forces, entered the citizens' lands belonging to the village of Al-Jaba, and chased a number of citizens, and prevented them from picking the olive harvest from their lands, and withdrew at 14:35.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:30, the occupation forces set up 3 checkpoints at the northern entrance to the city of Hebron (branching from the bypass line 35 near the bridge of the town of Halhul), at the Al-Deek Junction, and in the Jabal Karbaj area in the old city of Hebron, to search cars and check citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At dawn on 12. 10. 2020, Israeli forces raided the town of Halhoul, and clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a number of houses, and detained 5 citizens.
2. At 15:40, Israeli forces raided Idna town and arrested a female citizen after raiding her house.
3. At 01:45, an Israeli force stormed the town of Beit Awa and the village of Deir Samet, and handed over a notice to be reviewed by the Israeli intelligence, Mahmoud Yasser Mahmoud Masalma.

Detention

1. The five detainees in the town of Halhul are: Thaer Jamal Madia, Yahya Sadiq Jahshan, Muhammad Mahmoud Saada, Muhammad Helmy Aql, and Muhammad Saqr al-Bu.
2. The detained person in Idna is: Suheir Ahmad Saeed Al-Batran.

Attack

1. At dawn on 12/10/2020, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones as they stormed a number of houses during their raid into the town of Halhoul,.
2. At 12:10, the occupying forces, located opposite Al-Arroub camp, fired stun grenades and tear gas at the entrance to the camp, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.

Closure of main Roads

On 12. 10. 2020, the occupation forces closed the iron gate at the entrance to Al-Arroub camp, in front of the traffic.

Settlement Activities

On 12.10.2020, settlers, with the protection of the occupation forces, in the Old City of Hebron, placed an old stone inscribed with the Talmudic menorah at the entrance to the Qazzazin market in the city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.

• The occupation forces violated the ceasefire, by raiding our areas and firing from their positions on the Green Line in Khan Yunis Governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": 12/10/2020 is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* The Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed on 01/04/2010 by an Israeli unilateral decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 07:30 on 13. 10. 2020, several vehicles, bulldozers and a cover of reconnaissance aircraft stormed our areas, about 100 meters east of the town of Khuza'a, and carried out digging and bulldozing work.

Attack

At 08:00 on 12. 10. 2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of the town of Khuza'a, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: 12.10.2020. It is partially open (for the entry of Humanitarian supplies goods and building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda - Rafah: on 12.10.2020 is closed.
