DAILY SITUATION REPORT

 08:00, 14th October   2020 -08:00, 15th October  2020

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Beit Ejza junction, and obstructed traffic.

Raid

1. At dawn on 14.10.2020,The occupation forces raided Qatana village and stormed a number of homes.
2. At 13:00,The occupation forces raided the village of Al-Issawiya,stormed and searched a house. The raid was repeated at 23:30 hours, as clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a number of houses, and detained 12 citizens.
3. At dawn in 15/10/2020,The occupation forces raided Al-Ram town and stormed a home.

Detention

1. On 14. 10. 2020, the occupation forces arrested, in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem, the citizen: Abdullah Abdul-Majid Ghaith.
2. On the evening of 14/10/2020, the occupation forces arrested: Dawood Qatniyah, in the Old City of Jerusalem.
3. The 12 detainees in the village of Al-Issawiya are: Majd Mahmoud, Muhammad Khalil Kulaib, Ahmed Nasir Muheisen, Qais Mustafa, Nour Muhaisin, Abdullah Abu Asab, Musab Muhaisin, Nadim al-Safadi, Hassan Jamjoom, Adam Mustafa, Muhammad Darwish, and Yusef Darwish.

Temporary Detention

At 09:00, the occupation forces detained near Al-Asbat Gate (one of the gates leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalem, the citizen: Hussam Sidr (an employee in the Reconstruction Committee of the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem), and released him later after signing a financial guarantee of 6000 Shekel, pending a call for investigation later.

Attack

1. At 20:30, the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters in the Shuafat Camp in Jerusalem, on the pretext that they were throwing stones.
2. At 23:30, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during the raid of Al-Issawiya village, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones while they were storming a number of houses.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

Settlement Activities

On 14 October 2020, the occupation authorities approved a plan to build 2,166 new settlement housing units in a number of settlements built on citizens ’lands in the governorates of the West Bank (including 560 units in“ Gilo ”settlement), within the lands occupied in 1967.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

At 03:45, The occupation forces raided the town of Kober and detained 2 citizens.

Detention

The two detainees in the town of Kober are: Nabouh Najm Al-Barghouti and Milad Tawfiq Shaban.

JENIN

Attack

At 15:50, the occupying forces in charge of guarding the separation wall near the village of Jalameh fired sound bombs at the workers' citizens while they were trying to enter to work inside the Green Line, wounding one of them in the face and body, and he was admitted to the government hospital in Jenin for treatment.

Injuries

The wounded man near the separation wall near the village of Jalameh is: Alaa Hisham Al-Shalabi - resident of Al Jalameh village.

TUBAS

Raid

At 01:55, The occupation force raided the city of Tubas, and clashes took place with citizens as they stormed and searched a home.

Temporary Detention

At 10:50, the occupation forces temporarily detained 2 citizens while they were grazing sheep in the northern Jordan Valley, and released them later: Ahmed Hussein Zuhdi Daraghmeh and Iyad Fawzi Abu Mutawa.

Attack

At 01:55, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into Tubas, on the pretext that they had been throwing stones while they were storming a house.

QALQILIYA

Raid

1. At 23:25, Israeli forces raided Qalqilya, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 04:30, Israeli forces raided Azoun town and detained 3 civilians.

Detention

1. At 04:00 on 14. 10. 2020, the occupation forces arrested Ashraf Khalid Al-Ja'idi during their raid into the city of Qalqilya (in addition to what was mentioned in the previous report).
2. The 3 detainees in Azzun town are: Montaser Abdullah Khalil Zamari, Essam Rashid Mahmoud Radwan, and Muhammad Rashid Mahmoud Radwan.

Attack

1. At 21:50, the occupying forces, present in the vicinity of the "Eyal" crossing, north of Qalqilya, fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.
2. At 23:00, the occupying forces in charge of guarding the separation wall near Al-Naqar neighborhood in the city of Qalqilya fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 23:30, the occupation forces closed the "Shafi Shimron" checkpoint, which is established on the main road, Nablus - Jenin, in front of traffic, and reopened it at 24:00.

Raid

1. At dawn on 14. 10. 2020, Israeli forces raided the village of Yatma, and detained 2 residents.
2. At 16:40, Israeli forces raided Qasra, and conducted a patrol.
3. At 23:35, Israeli forces raided Sebastia village, detained 2 citizens, and withdrew at 24:00.

Detention

1. The two detainees in the village of Yatma are: Uday Mesbah Ahmed Sanoub and Moheeb Lafi Muhammad Sanoub.
2. The two detainees in the village of Sebastia are: Ayham Nahedh Rizk Aql, and Shahed Arafat Kayed.

Settlers Attacks

1. On the morning of 14/10/2020, a group of armed settlers, accompanied by a bulldozer, set out to pave a settlement road in the land of the citizen: Hafez Saleh, where the residents of the village managed to stop the bulldozer from working.
2. Before noon on 14/10/2020, a group of settlers entered the Al-Khan area in the Eastern Laban village, and tried to steal historical stones from the place.
3. At 12:45, a group of settlers from "Ish Kodesh" settlement in the eastern region of Jalud village, cut the electricity poles that feed a number of citizens' homes, which led to power cuts in the area.
4. At 18:35, a group of settlers came on the lands of the citizens of Beit Dajan village, and attacked a number of citizens, including the head of the village council.

SALFIT

Raid

1. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya town, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 03:30.
2. At 06:20, Israeli forces raided the town of Deir Istia, stormed and searched a house, and withdrew at 06:45.
3. At 06:50, Israeli forces raided the town of Kafeel Haris, detained 2 citizens, and withdrew at 07:30.

Detention

The two detainees in the town of Kafel Haris are: Salem Muhammad Abu Yaqoub and Yahya Abd al-Fattah al-Asaad.

Settlers Attacks

On 14.10.2020, a group of settlers from "Leshem" settlement, located in the east of Deir Ballut, pumped wastewater (sewage) from inside the colony to the citizens' lands planted with olive fruit trees.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:05, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 22:20.

BETHLEHEM

Military Checkpoints

At 13:55, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at the (Container) checkpoint, and blocked traffic until 14:20.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 21:00.
2. At 20:05, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the Al-Nashash area junction (the southern entrance to Bethlehem). The checkpoint was repeated at 20:15 to search cars and check citizens' identities until 21:45.

Raid

1. At 16:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Rashaida village, stormed and searched 2 houses, and withdrew at 17:30.
2. At 05:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Khalayel al-Luz, and delivered the citizen: Mahmoud Murad Mahmoud Malash, a notice to be reviewed by the Israeli intelligence.
3. At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and Aida camp in the city, detained 3 citizens, and withdrew at 05:45.

Detention

The 3 detainees in Bethlehem and Aida camp in the city are: Anas Maher Judah, Mu'taz Nazih in Dawneh, and Muhammad Awad Awad.

Provocation of Palestinian Forces

At 14:40, the occupying forces detained a passenger bus belonging to the Palestinian Civil Police, at the container checkpoint, and allowed its passage later after searching it.

Settlers Attacks

At 18:15, a group of settlers entered the agricultural lands of the citizens of the village of Al-Jab'a, and cut branches of about 200 olive trees owned by the citizen: Khaled Naji Mahmoud Masha'leh, and withdrew at 18:30.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Idna town, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 12:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Samu 'town junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 20:05, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Beit Einoun village junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
4. At 21:45, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Halhoul town bridge, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 18:45, Israeli forces raided Yatta town and conducted a patrol.
2. At 23:25, Israeli forces raided the city of Hebron, and delivered the citizen: Ayman Zaid Al-Junaidi, a notice to review the Israeli intelligence, and withdrew at 01:30.
3. At 24:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Samou 'town and conducted a patrol.
4. At 00:15, Israeli forces raided the town of Dura, stormed and searched a house, and delivered the citizen, Ayoub Al-Aqibi, a notice to be reviewed by the Israeli intelligence.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.

• The occupation forces violated the ceasefire, by firing from their positions on the Green Line in Khan Yunis Governorate, and by firing at the fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea in the northern Gaza and Gaza governorates.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": On 10/14/2020, it is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

At 17:00 on October 14, 2020, Israeli gunboats fired at the fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea off the coast of Al-Sudania area, west of the town of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* The Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed on 01/04/2010 by an Israeli unilateral decision.

Attack

At 01:30 today 10. 10. 2020, Israeli gunboats fired at the fishermen's boats while chasing them at sea off the coast of Gaza City.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 08:00 on 14/10/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Khuza'a town, east of Khan Yunis.
2. At 08:15 on 14/10/2020, the occupying forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Fokhari town, east of Khan Yunis.
3. At 09:15 on 14/10/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Yunis.
4. At 23:45 on 14/10/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: 14.10.2020. It is partially open (for the entry of Humanitarian supplies, goods and building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda - Rafah: on 14. 10. 2020 is closed.
