WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on October 12th 2019,Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank districts on the occasion of the Jewish holiday "Sukkot'' , and prevented citizens and workers, including holders of permits, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian and medical emergencies after prior coordination until 24:00 on October 21st 2019.

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces detained 3 Women: Hanadi Mohammad Jabr Al-Halwani, Ayda Khalid Al-Saydawi and Madalin Mohammad Ahmad Issa in Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
2. On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces positioned at Jaba' military checkpoint detained Ashraf Mohammad Khalil Abu Hashim {a resident of Dura town in Hebron district}.

Deportation

On the evening of October 16th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued a order banning Ismail Amin Nawahda {a preacher at Al-Aqsa mosque compound} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 11 days as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.

Assault on Educational sector

On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces raided the old city of Jerusalem city and stormed "Al-Aytam" secondary school and as a result left school children terrified and terrorized.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00,a group of Israeli settlers led by "Ori Arail" {Israeli Minister of Agriculture} and "Yehuda Glik" {A member of the Israeli Parliament} under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At dawn on October 16th 2019, Israeli forces raided Beit Liqya town and detained 3 residents.
2. At 03:35 on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and opened fire towards a vehicle and as a result injured the driver and detained him and 2 other residents after storming their homes.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Thaer Mohammad Ali Bader, Ashraf Mohammad Ali Bader, and Tamer Mohammad Ali Bader, in Beit Liqya town.
2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents {of those identified are}: Bara Samer Badrat and Islam Fa'eq Nimr in Al-Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city.

Attack

At 03:35 on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and opened fire towards a vehicle after it collided with a Israeli military vehicles during their raid into Al-Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city and as a result injured the driver and detained him.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident after opening fire towards a vehicle in Al-Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city.

JENIN

Raid

At dawn on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces raided Jaba' town and detained 3 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Fareed Mohammad Alawaneh, Ibrahim Assad Badad and Yusef Mahmoud Fashafsheh in Jaba' town.

Attack

At 07:25 on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces positioned at Barta'a military checkpoint opened fire towards a resident and as a result left him hospitalized.

Injuries

Israeli forces positioned at Barta'a military checkpoint injured Omar Jamal Obied {a resident of Jenin city} after opening fire towards him.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:50,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:15.

Raid

At 02:10, Israeli forces raided Anabta town, detained a University student then withdrew at 05:35.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hazim Yusef Foqaha {a University student} in Anabta town.

Attack

At 08:05, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located near Quffin town opened fire towards a residents and as a result left him hospitalized.

Injuries

Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located near Quffin town injured Bara Mohammad Fayez Tu'ma {a resident of Quffin town} after opening fire towards him.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 03:15, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, stormed and searched a home, detained a resident then withdrew at 06:00.

Detention

1. At 20:40, Israeli forces positioned at "Ayal" crossing point located in North Qalqiliya city detained the child: Khalid Solaman Mohammad Ghanam {13 years old}.
2. Israeli forces detained Anan Khairy Shibeita in Azzun town.

Attack

At 17:20, Israeli forces positioned at "Ayal" crossing point located in North Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canister towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Raid

1. On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the village.
2. At 22:00, Israeli forces raided Nablus city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Joseph's Tomb, clashed with several residents and as a result injured 17 residents {including a child} and left 34 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation then withdrew at 03:20.

Detention

At 02:05 on October 16th 2019, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Radwan Omar Samahna during their raid into Nablus city {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.

Attack

At 22:00, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Joseph's Tomb during their raid into Nablus city and as a result injured 17 residents {including a child} and left 34 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Israeli forces injured 17 residents {of those identified}: Eyad Hussien Abu Jaffar {16 years old}, Waleed Ibrahim Al-Amoudi, Khalil Ayman Hashash and Abdallah Shareef Abdel-Raziq during clashes in Nablus city.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:55, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khilet Al-Ras located in Burin town and assaulted several residents {including International Peace activists} who were collecting Olives and as a result injured several residents.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:10 on October 16th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 05:30 on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:45,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 18:20.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:50.
3. At 20:15,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

1. On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces raided Irtas village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Solamans Pools archaeological site.
2. At dawn on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces raided Al-Khadr town, stormed and searched a home then detained 3 residents.

Detention

1. At 20:50, Israeli forces positioned at Jub'a military checkpoint detained Ashraf Mohammad Khalil Abu Hisham {a resident of Dura town in Hebron district}.
2. Israeli forces detained 3 resident: Oda Taya Issa, Dina Oda Taya Issa and Ahmad Oda Taya Issa in Al-Khadr town.

Settlers Attacks

On October 16th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Beit Ayin" settlement stormed agricultural land located in Al-Jub'a village then threw stones towards several members of Ihmidat family who were harvesting Olives.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Einun village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces raided Hebron city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed Otni'el tomb and again at dawn on October 17th 2019 then stormed and searched 3 homes.
2. At 03:10 on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa town and detained a resident.
3. At dawn on October 17th 2019, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Akram Abdel-Qadder Ismail Masalma in Beit Awwa town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 22:00 on October 16th 2019,The Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound {the Tomb of the Patriarchs} in the Old City of Hebron and prevented residents from praying inside it, under the pretext of enabling the settlers to celebrate and perform the Talmudic rituals inside the compound on the occasion of the Jewish holiday "Sukkot'.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by raiding North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

At 08:30 on October 16th 2019,Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of east Jabaliya town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 12:00.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
