WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on October 12th 2019,Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank districts on the occasion of the Jewish holiday "Sukkot'' , and prevented citizens and workers, including holders of permits, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian and medical emergencies after prior coordination until 24:00 on October 21st 2019.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 20:30, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Al-Shiekh Suliman and Anas Shaludi in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Attack

At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near Turmus'aya town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators who were protesting against the Israeli military confiscation of land for the purpose of settlement expansion and as a result injured 2 residents {including a child} and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Hazim Rabah Hamza {17 years old} and Ribhi Khalil Ribhi Abu Aliya during clashes near Turmus'aya town.

JENIN

Attack

On the morning of October 17th 2019, Israeli forces positioned at Barta'a military checkpoint opened fire towards a resident and as a result left him hospitalized.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Mohammad Ahmad Abd Ghannam Nawasrah {a resident of Fahma village} after opening fire towards him at Barta'a military checkpoint.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:30,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:40.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and clashed with several residents.

Attack

At 00:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents during their raid into Azzun town.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

On the evening of October 17th 2019, Israeli forces closed the South and West entrances of Kafil Harris town thus preventing residents from entering or exiting the town.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Mu'arajat road {which connects Jericho and Ramallah districts} then searched residents and vehicles until 21:50.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.
2. At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the West entrance of Tuqu' town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Settlers Attacks

On October 17th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Beitar Illit" settlement stormed agricultural land in Wadi Quffin village then performed Talmudic rituals.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Bi'r Al-Mahjar area in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 13:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Wadi Al-Huriya area in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 20:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Halhul town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 18:00, Israeli forces detained Nabeel Nader Al-Rajabi in the old city of Hebron.

Attack

On the evening of October 17th 2019, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Dahir area located in Beit Ummar town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

Since 22:00 on October 16th 2019,The Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound {the Tomb of the Patriarchs} in the Old City of Hebron and prevented residents from praying inside it, under the pretext of enabling the settlers to celebrate and perform the Talmudic rituals inside the compound on the occasion of the Jewish holiday "Sukkot'.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by raiding North Gaza district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

1. At 09:00 on October 17th 2019,Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of east Jabaliya town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 13:30.
2. At 14:30 on October 17th 2019,Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of east Jabaliya town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 15:00.

Attack

At 10:00 on October 17th 2019,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
