WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

At 24:00 on October 7th 2019,Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of Yom Kippur, and prevented citizens and workers, including holders of permits, from entering Jerusalem and Israel until 24:00 on October 9th 2019.

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 22:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village then stormed and searched several homes.

Temporary Detention

On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces in Jerusalem city served orders banning 4 residents: Khadija Khwais, Hanadi Halawani, Mohammed Shalabi, and Amin Shweiki {all resident of Jerusalem city} from travelling abroad.

Deportation

1. At 10:00, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Ayed Al-Sadawi {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound located in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 6 months.
2. At 10:30,Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Majed Raghib Al-Ju'ba {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering the West Bank for a period of 6 months.

Confiscation of Property

At 08:30, Israeli authorities positioned near the entrance of Anata town confiscated water tanks {holding 100 m3 of water} from a gas station {which is under construction} owned by Mazin Thiyab {a resident of Silwan neighborhood} for allegedly not having a valid license.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 20:10, Israeli forces raided Surda village until 22:00.
2. At 20:45, Israeli forces raided Ein Yabroud village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 22:00.
3. At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Abboud town until 02:30.
4. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Zied and Kafr Ein villages until 04:15.
5. At 03:20, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and detained 3 resiednts.
6. At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ni'ma village.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mahmoud Awad Hamed, Mustafa Abdel Raouf Hamed, and Mohamed Saleh Abdel Aziz Dar Saleh in Silwad town.

Attack

At 20:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Ein Yabroud village.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Thahir Al-Abd village then detained a resident.

Raid

At dawn on October 8th 2019, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home then detained a resident {who suffers from Leg amputation}.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near Thahir Al-Abd village detained Husam Mohammad Hussien Abu Baker {a resident of Ya'bad town}.
2. Israeli forces detained Jum'a Abu Khalifa {who suffers from Leg amputation} in Jenin camp.

Attack

At dawn on October 8th 2019, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Jenin camp.

TUBAS

Detention

At 12:15, Israeli forces detained Badr Firas Sabah {a resident of Al-Far'a camp}.

Assaults on Property

At 10:20, Israeli forces prevented residents from doing maintenance construction work on a Water well in Khirbeit Samra area in the North Jordan valley and temporarily detained construction workers then released them at 17:30.

Temporary Detention

At 10:20, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 construction workers: Yousef Abdullah Masaeed, Hamad Hamdan Hussein, and Ibrahim Hamad Hamdan Jaber (all residents of Tayasir village)as maintenance construction work on a Water well in Khirbeit Samra area in the North Jordan valley then released them at 17:30.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Shuwikat neighborhood in Tulkarem city and clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home.

Temporary Detention

At 19:30, Israeli forces temporarily detained Yazen Samer Katanat {a resident of Quffin town} as he attempted to cross through the wall gate then released him at a later time.

Attack

1. At 00:40, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Shuwikat neighborhood in Tulkarem city.
2. At 07:40, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Zieta town opened fire towards a resident and as a result left him hospitalized.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Abdel-Salam Khalil Ahmad Kitana {a resident of Nazlat Issa village} after opening fire towards him near the wall gate in Zeita town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous and Azzun towns then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.
4. At 00:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Qaddumim" settlement junction, detained 2 residents {including a woman} then withdrew at 01:10.

Raid

At 17:45, Israeli forces raided Qaqliliya city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a home, detained a child {a special needs patient} then withdrew at 22:15.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near "Qaddumim" settlement junction detained 2 residents: Nimr Hussien Abu Mustafa and Shorouq Mohammad Abu Mustafa.
2. Israeli forces detained the child: Islam Ali Nofal {17 years old} {a special needs patient} in Qaqliliya city.

Attack

At 17:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Qalqiliya city.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 21:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwwara Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:30,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Madma village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:55,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba' area located near the entrance of Tel village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 21:10,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the bypass road near "Yitshar" settlement then detained a resident.

Raid

At 15:00, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint along the bypass road near "Yitshar" settlement detained Mohammad Mahmoud Marshoud {a resident of Balata camp in Nablus city}.

Land Levelling

At 15:00, Israeli forces leveled a plot of land {approximately 30 dunums}{Plot #1} located in Al-Sahayil area in Assira Al-Qibliya village which is owned by Makhlouf and Salah Families.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 11:30, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in south Burin village and assaulted Waleed Al-Najjar as he was harvesting Olives.
2. At 15:00, Israeli settlers from "Yitzhar" settlement stole Olives from approximately 36 Olive trees located in Khilat Al-Ghol area located in south Burin village owned by Nasser Ismail Qaddus and Ahmad Sa'id Al-Najjar.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Bruqin town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Kafil Harris and Deir Istiya towns then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 16:50, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik town. stormed and searched a home and interrogated its residents
2. At 17:25, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town.

Destruction of Property

At 11:00, Israeli forces leveled approximately 4 dunums of land located in Al-Batun area in North Farkhat village and uprooted 160 Grape vines and 50 Almond groves, destroyed a stone wall owned by Hassan Abdallah Hassan and Ammar Saleem after they seized the plot of land.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:20,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Marj Al-Na'ja village then searched residents and vehicles until 19:35.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:45,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jalla city then searched residents and vehicles until 13:55.
2. At 13:55,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 16:45.

Detention

At 04:00 on October 7th 2019, Israeli forces detained Hassan Hassanien Shuqat during their raid into Bethlehem city {as mentioned in the previous report}.

HEBRON

Raid

1. At 11:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Baqqar area located in west Halhul town.
2. At dawn on October 8th 2019,Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained 4 residents.
3. At dawn on October 8th 2019,Israeli forces raided Beit Kahil town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Izz al-Din Nasser Zain, his brother Yahya, Mohammed Attia Banat, and his son Jamal in Hebron city.

Settlement Activities

On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces leveled approximately 30 dunums of land located in Abu Al-Mifalfal area near "Kharsina" settlement in east Hebron city in order to construct a new settlement outpost.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
• A resident died of serious injuries sustained during clashes in North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Killings

At 12:00 on October 7th 2019, Fadi Osama Ramadan Hijazi {21 years old}{a resident of Jabaliya camp} died of serious injuries sustained as Israeli forces opened fire towards several demonstrators during the right of Return march in east Jabaliya town on February 2019.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
