WEST BANK

Closure

*Since 24:00 on October 3rd 2017, the Israeli Military sealed off the West Bank for the Jewish Holiday "Sikkot" thus preventing residents and workers including those with entry permits from entering Jerusalem city and Israel with the exception of Foreign Diplomats, Humanitarian and emergency medical cases {with prior security clearance} until 24:00 on October 10th 2017.

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. On October 7th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Beit Iksa Military checkpoint detained Mohammad Al-Dari {A resident of Biddu town}.
2. At dawn on October 9th 2017, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Arin Al-Za'anin, Osama Al-Hamadan and Nour Al-Shalabi in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Kar Kar village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 17:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city and clashed with several residents.
2. At 17:20, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and Ein Yabroud village, clashed with several residents and as a result injured a resident in Silwad town then withdrew at 19:15.
3. At 17:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp until 19:15.

Attack

1. At 17:05, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Bireh city.
2. At 17:20, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Silwad town and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Shathin Abdel-Rahman Hamad during clashes in Silwad town.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 08:40 and again at 02:45, Israeli forces raided Bir Al-Basha village then stormed a vegetable store.
2. At 10:10, Israeli forces raided Arraba town, Beit Qad and Deir Ghazalah villages.
3. At 13:55, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town.
4. At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Jenin city , Jenin camp and Bruqin town, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes in Jenin camp and detained 3 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmad Fakhri Huwil, Tariq Abu Tabikh and Talal Al-Husari in Jenin camp.

Attack

At 02:25, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed several homes during their raid into Jenin camp.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Baqa Al-Sharqiya town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 07:30 on October 8th 2017, Israeli forces raided Far'oun village until 12:40.

Detention

At 22:40, Israeli forces positioned at a military checkpoint detained Attiyah Majadbat {A resident of Allar town} as he was returning from Ramallah city to Tulkarem city.

Settlers Attacks

On October 8th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli military forces stormed Babor Al-Biek area in Ramin village and performed Talmudic rituals.

QALQILIYA

Raid

At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Qalqilya city, stormed and searched several homes and detained 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Arkan Mohammad Tabisat and Iz -Al-Din Mustafa Nofal in Qalqilya city.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 12:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beita town then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 23:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Furik town then searched residents and vehicles until 23:40.

Raid

1. At 09:05, Israeli forces raided Deir Sharaf and Sabastiya villages as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in Sabastiya village then withdrew at 14:10.
2. At 13:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Sawiya and Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya villages.
3. At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Orif village, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Yusef Al-Safadi in Orif village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Istiya town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Bidya town and detained a resident then withdrew at 05:55.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Radi Kamal Kan'an in Bidya town.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Hamra Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:25.

Raid

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces raided Jericho city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed a Jewish synagogue then withdrew at 15:50.
2. At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Aqabat Al-Jabr camp in Jericho city, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:25.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Sami Abdel-Fattah Attah in Aqbat Al-Jabr camp.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Al-Khaader bridge {located along the main road connecting the west area of Bethlehem}, temporarily detained a resident then released him at 14:10.

Raid

1. At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Khirbeit Al-Deir village located near Teqou' town until 10:45.
2. At 16:10, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.
3. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Aza camp in Bethlehem city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched 2 homes , detained a resident then withdrew at 03:40.

Detention

1. At 20:15, Israeli forces positioned near "Kafar Itsiyon" detained Nasser Abu Judeh {A resident of Al-Arub camp in Hebron district} for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.
2. Israeli forces detained Maher Mahmoud Ahmad Abu Tarboush in Al-Aza camp in Bethlehem city.

Temporary Detention

At 11:30, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint beneath Al-Khader town bridge temporarily detained Mohammad Adeeb Dar Musa {A resident of Al-Khader} then released him at 14:10.

Attack

1. At 18:05, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Teqou' town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 01:55, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during as they stormed and searched 2 homes during their raid into Al-Aza camp in Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of Halhul town then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village junction and detained 2 residents {including a University student}.

Raid

1. At 18:55, Israeli forces raided Dura town until 19:45.
2. At 19:15, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 19:45.
3. At 02:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, stormed and searched a home, detained 4 residents {including 2 children} then withdrew at 03:50.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Issa Awad Zien {A University student} and Mohammad Yusef Abu Aram {Both are residents of Yatta town}.
2. Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Uday Eyad Za'aqiq {16 years old}, Khalid Mahmoud Al-Salibi {15 years old}, Mo'ayad Waleed Ibrahim Khalil and Muhanad Ali Mahmoud Abu Ayash in Beit Ummar town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 22:00 on October 8th 2017, Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in the old city of Hebron and prevented residents from conducting prayers in order to allow Israeli settlers to perform Talmudic rituals in the mosque for Jewish holidays.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• ا• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by launching tank artillery shells and opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis district.
• The Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by openeing fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.
• Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by launching projectiles towards the Green line {which landed in side the Gaza strip}.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open from 13:00 until 19:00 for Gaza residents only.

Attack

1. At 21:30 on October 7th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in North Um Al-Nasser village.
2. At 08:00 on October 8th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya Town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 08:30 on October 8th 2017, Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.
2. At 22:25 on October 8th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched tank artillery shells towards Palestinian Gunmen based in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08;30 on October 8th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards east Al-Qarara town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.

Detention

At 23:00 on October 8th 2017, Israeli forces detained 2 unidentified residents as they attempted to climb the border fence in east Rafah city into Israeli.

Palestinian Attacks

At 20:55 on October 8th 2017, Palestinian gunmen launched projectiles towards the Green Line {which landed in side the Gaza strip}.
