WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• At 24:00 on September 17th 2018, The Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish "Yom Kippur" holiday, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for humanitarian cases, after prior coordination until 24:00 on September 19th 2018.

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 04:15, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured a resident, detained 2 residents and confiscated 15000 NIS from the home of Mohammad Mahmoud Imteir.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Kareem Abu Litfiya and Shadi Yacoub in Qalandiya camp.

Attack

At 04:15, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Qalandiya camp and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident during clashes in Qalandiya camp.

Confiscation of Property

At 04:15, Israeli forces confiscated 15000 NIS from the home of Mohammad Mahmoud Imteir during their raid into Qalandiya camp.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:45 and again at 21:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.
2. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Awarta town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:10.
3. At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Ras Kar Kar and Deir Ibzi' village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.

Raid

At 06:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Rima town, assaulted a resident as they detained him after storming his home and as a result killed him then withdrew at 07:30.

Killings

Israeli forces killed Mohammad Zaghoul Qassim Al-Khatib Al-Rimawi {23 years old} as they assaulted him while he was being detained.

JENIN

Raid

At 06:55, Israeli forces raided Arraba town, stormed and searched 2 homes then detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abdel-Latif Mahmoud Shibani in Arraba town.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 07:40 on September 17th 2018, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Assaults on Property

On September 17th 2018, Israeli forces halted construction work on 140-square-meter service complex consisting of two floors, including a health clinic, a kindergarten and a women's complex (under construction) for allegedly being built with out a licence.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 08:30, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions at "Enav" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:40.

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Lid town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:40.

Raid

1. At 08:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, clashed with several school children, temporarily detained Osama Shaher Abdel-Azziz Salim then released him at a later time and again at 04:00 on September 18th 2018, clashed with several resiednts as they stormed and searched several homes and detained 3 residents.
2. At 17:40, Israeli forces raided Hablat town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ayoub Farouq Abu Haniya, Ameed Ayoub Fawzi Ramzi and Wahbi Al-Khouli in Azzun town.

Temporary Detention

At 11:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained Osama Shaher Abdel-Azziz Salim during their raid into Azzun town then released him at a later time.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Assira Al-Shamaliya town then searched residents and vehicles until 14:25.
2. At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shavie Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:40.
3. At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles until 11:40.

Raid

At 22:15, Israeli forces raided Osarin village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured 2 residents, detained 2 others then withdrew at 04:35.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Saher Ahmad Nayef Adeli and Shadi Mohammad Nayef Adeli in Osarin village.

At 22:15, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Osarin village and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Warad Fahim Al-Adeli and Yasser Judat Al-Adeli during clashes in Osarin village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles until 09:30.
2. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

1. At 08:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 09:00.
2. At 09:55 and again at 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 19:35.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

1. At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Irtas village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 23:45.
2. At 23:10, Israeli forces raided Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 01:10.
3. At 04:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem city, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 06:15.

Attack

1. At 22:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Irtas town.
2. At 23:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader town.
3. At 04:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem city.

Settlement Activities

On September 17th 2018, Israeli forces stormed Khilat Al-Nahla area located near Wadi Rahal village and leveled land as they paved a road connecting "Efrata" settlement and Khilat Al-Nahla area located near Wadi Rahal village and Irtad village.

Settlers Attacks

On the evening of September 17th 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed residential owned land in Khilat Al-Nahla area located near Wadi Rahal village and installed tents in the area in an attempt to seize the land.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Einoun village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 13:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Samou' town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 00:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Khursa village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 19:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town and detained a resident.
2. At 03:55, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained 2 residents.
3. At dawn on September 18th 2018, Israeli forces raided Dura town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Bassam Mohammad Ismail Makharza in Al-Thahriya town.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Mahmoud Al-Qadi and Fadi Yusef Ighnimat in Surif town.
3. Israeli forces detained Ma'moun Ibrahim Nassar in Dura town.

Assault on Educational sector

At 07:45, Israeli forces stormed Hebron Secondary school in the old city of Hebron, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several school children inside the school ans as a result injured Amjad Ta'niya {A school teacher} and left several school children suffocated from tear gas inhalation and thus disrupted classes.

Assaults on Property

On September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned near the bypass road near the Municipality neighborhood in Hebron city and halted the construction of a Cement factory {under construction} owned by Salah Abu Maliya for allegedly being built with out a licence and confiscated construction equipment and material.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip.

The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding North Gaza district.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards , Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts and as result injured 30 residents and left 69 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.
• Israeli Military aircraft's broke the ceasefire agreement by launching missiles towards resiednts in Khan Yunis districts and as result killed 2 residents.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

At 18:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 100 m into the vicinity of North Beit Lahiya town and leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 13:00.

Attack

1. At 15:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents in east Beit Hanoun town and as a result injured a resident.
2. At 17:00 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in North east Beit Lahiya town during the march of return and as a result injured 26 residents and and left 69 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 17:00 on September 17th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards 20 fishing boats as they were protesting off the shores Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town then withdrew at 19:30.
4. At 22:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Jabaliya town and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured a unidentified residents during clashes in east Beit Hanun town.
2. Israeli forces injured 26 unidentified residents during clashes in North west Beit Lahiya town.
3. Israeli forces injured 1 unidentified resident during clashes in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 18:50 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 07:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition towards agricultural land in east Abbassan Al-Kabira located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 18:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in North east Khan Yunis city.
3. At 21:30 on September 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city during the march of return and as a result injured 2 residents.

Air Strike

At 22:40 on September 17th 2018, Israeli Military aircraft's launched a missile towards a group of residents located near the border fence in east Al-Qarara town located in North east Khan Yunis city and as a result killed 2 residents.

Killings

Israeli airstrikes killed 2 residents: Naji Jamil Abu Assi {18 years old} and Alaa Ziyad Abu Assi {21 years old}{Both area residents of Al-Nazlat area located in east Khan Yunis city} near the border fence in east Al-Qarara town located in North east Khan Yunis city.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents during clashes in east Khuza'a town in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
