WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• At 24:00 on September 19th 2017 The Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian and medical emergencies until 24:00 on September 23rd 2017.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 2 residents including a child.
2. At 20:00, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp and summoned Thaer Al-Fasfous to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

1. At 15:30, Israeli forces detained Ziyiad Khieri Zidani {A resident of Silwan neighborhood} in Jerusalem city.
2. At dawn on September 20th 2017, Israeli forces detained Raed Turat in Jerusalem city.
3. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Bashar Nasser Mahmoud {17 years old} and Yusef Issa Mustafa in Al-Eisawiya village.

Temporary Detention

1. At 11:15, Israeli forces temporarily detained Billal Hashim Sadeq Al-Natsheh after storming and searching his home in the old city of Jerusalem then released him after he paid a fine.
2. At 11:20, Israeli authorities imposed house imprisonment on the child Mohammad Abu Nab {11 years old}{A resident of Silwan town in Jerusalem city} and fined him 500 NIS as a term of his release from Israeli prison.

Attack

At 19:20, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Jabal area junction in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning

Assault on Educational sector

At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Sahil road in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city then stormed and searched the local school.

Destruction of Property

At 11:20, Israeli forces demolished a car wash owned by Osama Badr in Beit Hanina town for allegedly being built without a licence.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 03:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp, detained a resident , summoned Ehab Waleed Hamidat to report to Israeli Intellegnce for question then withdrew at 05:00.
2. At dawn on September 9th 2017, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ein village and detained a child.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Midhat Amjad Hussien Abu Sharifa in Al-Jalazoun camp.
2. Israeli forces detained Layth Imad Abu Kharma {17 years old} in Kafr Ein village.

JENIN

Raid

At dawn on September 20th 2017, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp then stormed and searched 2 homes.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 13:05, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:00.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Bardala village junction located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 22:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Al-Bayda village junction located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Kafriyat road{which connects Tulkarem and Qalqilya districts} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:10, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem camp and Tulkarem city until 03:00.

Destruction of Property

At 14:00, Israeli forces stormed Ramin village, levelled a plot of agricultural land and uprooted Olive trees owned by Tarik Haza' Masaud Hamad {A resident of Ramin village} for being located in the area of a road which is to be constructed.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 18:35, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, clashed with several residents and as a result left 16 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation then withdrew at 19:40.

Detention

At 03:00 on September 19th 2017, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Iz Al-Din Mahmoud Hassan Silmi during their raid into Qalqilya city {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.

Attack

At 18:35, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Azzun town and as a result left 16 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

New Military Post

At 09:30, Israeli forces stormed Jabal Al-Aqra' area located in east Kafr Qaddum village and installed a tent with several Israeli soldiers inside which overlooks the east entrance of the village.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shave Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.
2. At 22:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Aqraba town then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.

Raid

At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Nablus city and Balata camp, stormed and searched several homes and detained 4 residents in Balata camp.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents:Yazen Ali Mahmoud Al-Najmi, Saif Al-Din Mahmoud Al-Najmi, Mutasim Mahmoud Al-Najmi and Ghazi Al-Saudi during their raid into Balata camp in Nablus city.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Harris village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 01:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Raid

1. At 15:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village, searched the home of Yahya Abu Rahma then withdrew at 16:45.
2. At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Jericho city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 01:35.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles until 12:15.

Raid

At dawn on September 20th 2017, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city and detained 4 residents {including 3 children}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents {including 3 children}: Malik Salem Ibrahim Aldbs {16 years old}, Salman Salem Aldbs {14 years old}, Ehab Nayef Zabun {15 years old}, and Ahmed Hatem in Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Fawar area junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 14:40, Israeli forces raided Yatta town, stormed and searched a print shop owned by Ashraf Mohammad Nassar and confiscated his computer.
2. At 17:15 and again at 06:20, Israeli forces raided Hebron city then stormed and searched a local charity.
3. At 18:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp and clashed with several residents.

Attack

1. At 18:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Arrub camp.
2. At 20:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Abu Sneineh neighborhood in the old city of Hebron.

Confiscation of Property

At 14:40, Israeli forces confiscated a computer owned by Ashraf Mohammad Nassar after storming and searching hi print shop during their raid into Yatta town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza District.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 08:30 on September 19th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North West Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 20:30 on September 19th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects
