WEST BANK

Closure

• At 24:00 on September 19th 2017 The Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian and medical emergencies until 24:00 on September 23rd 2017.

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 07:00 on September 20th 2017, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town, clashed with several residents and school children and as a result injured 8 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Detention

1. On September 20th 2017, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Rashid Khalil Salah Al-Din {A resident of Hizma town}.
2. On September 20th 2017, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Hamad Shafiq Obied {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village}, Mahmoud Ramadan Obied {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village} and Majdi Mohammad Hussien Mashahra in Jerusalem city.

Attack

At 07:00 on September 20th 2017, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 8 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation during their raid into Abu Dis town.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 8 unidentified residents during clashes in Abu Dis town.

Deportation

On September 20th 2017, Israeli forces served a deportation order for Najah Barikat {Head of Al-Aqsa / Al-Awqaf Academy of Antiquities} preventing her from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for a period of 3 months.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

At 17:45, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Mughier village and detained 2 children.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 children: Abdullah Bilal Nael Hajj Muhammad {16 years old}, and Mohammed Mamoun Mohammed Abu Alia {16 years old} during clashes near the entrance of Al-Mughier village.

JENIN

Temporary Detention

On September 20th 2017, Israeli forces positioned near Ameriha village temporarily detained Samer Abu Baker {The Mayor of Ya'bad town} then released him after summoning him to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 14:25, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 14:50.

Raid

At 16:15, Israeli forces raided Ramin village until 16:25.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road connecting Jayyous and Azzun towns then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 18:00, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Faysal Salim {A resident of Azzun town} in Jinsafout village.

Temporary Detention

At 12;00, Israeli forces temporarily detained Faris Ahmad Daoud Aqel {A resident of Kafr Qaddum village} then released him at a later time.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Beita town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 18:00.

Temporary Detention

At 20:15, Israeli forces positioned at Huwwara Military checkpoint temporarily detained Mohammad Samir Jamil Mansour then released him at 21:00.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Rafat village then searched residents and vehicles until 12:40.

Raid

At 16:45, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town, clashed with several residents, assaulted Attif Omar Muslih {60 years old} then withdrew at a later time.

At 09:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles until 13:55.

1. At 10:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town until 13:35.
2. At 23:45, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, clashed with several residents near Al-Azza camp then withdrew at 01:10.

Attack

At 23:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 15:35, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, clashed with several residents, detained 2 residents, temporarily detained a residents and assaulted Nizar Hijazi then withdrew at 16:40.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Omar Najib Al-Awawi and Abdel-Salam Hijazi in Hebron city.

Physical Assault

At 15:35, Israeli forces assaulted Nizar Hijazi during their raid into Hebron city.

At 15:35, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Hebron city.

Temporary Detention

At 15:35, Israeli forces temporarily detained Bara Sa'di Abu Jah'shiya {A resident of Ithna town} during their raid into Hebron city then released him at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of residents with Jerusalem Identification cards. critical patients, journalists and NGO staff until 13:00 and Gaza residents until 15:00.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects
