WEST BANK

Closure

• Since 24:00 on September 19th 2017 The Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian and medical emergencies until 24:00 on September 23rd 2017.

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

At 17:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Jaba' Military checkpoint {which is located along the main road connecting Jerusalem and Jericho districts} and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At 17:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Ur Al-Tahta village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ras KarKar village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Ein Qinya village and clashed with several residents.

Attack

At 01:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Ein Qiniya village.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Kafr Dan village.
2. At dawn on September 22nd 2017, Israeli forces raided Turat village then searched residents and vehicles.

TUBAS

Detention

At 17:00, Israeli forces detained Shaker Mohammad Abdallah Bani Odah {A resident of Tammoun town}.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 14:00, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 16:00.

Attack

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several resident for alleged stoning during their raid into Tulkarem city.
2. At 15:05, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Zieta town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several resident as they were harvesting Olives.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Azzun town bridge {located along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Tulkarem districts} then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.

Raid

At 20:00, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes , detained 5 residents {including a child} then withdrew at 01:15.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Izz al-Din Badr Shamasneh {17 years old}, Amir Etem Nofal, Ali Khuraisha, Amjad Salim, and Fahad Badr Shamasneh during their raid into Jayyous town.

Attack

At 20:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Jayyous town.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Iskaka village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 13:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Ballout town junction then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Harris village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Detention

On September 21st 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Allam Rayiq Amein Sha'ban {A resident of Al-Jalmat village in Jenin district} as he was travelling to Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 20:20.
2. At 00:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Intercontinental Hotel as they raided Bethlehem city then searched residents and vehicles until 01:10.

Raid

1. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, set up a checkpoint near Intercontinental Hotel , clashed with several residents then withdrew at 01:10.
2. At 06:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem city, detained a resident then withdrew at 06:45.
3. At dawn on September 22nd 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Doha town and detained a resident after storming and searching his home.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Salah Mohammad Saleh Ju'idi in Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem city.
2. Israeli forces detained Wael Abu Sawi in Al-Doha town.

Attack

At 00:50, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Thahriya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp and summoned Thaer Midhat Odah Ayoub to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:40.
2. At dawn on September 22nd 2017,raided Hebron city and detained a resident after storming and searching his home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Yahya Nassar Al-Zien in Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza District

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 20:30 on September 21st 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza city.

* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
