WEST BANK

Closure

• Since 24:00 on September 19th 2017 The Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian and medical emergencies until 24:00 on September 23rd 2017.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Eizariya town roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

On September 22nd 2017, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Waleed Abu Najib and Nasrallah Nidal Diyab { Both residents of Jerusalem city}.

Attack

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Abu Dis town.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning in Ras Al-Kabsa area in Al-Eizariya town.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 03:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the bypass road near Ein Arrik village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 22:20, Israeli forces detained Hamza Maher Abu Ghuoliya {A resident of Qalandiya village} near the wall gate in south Al-Bireh city.

Attack

1. At 15:40, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village and temporarily detained 2 residents then withdrew at 20:20.
2. At 16:55, Israeli forces positioned near the south entrance of Silwad town located near "Ofra" settlement fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Temporary Detention

1. At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village temporarily detained Haytham Ibrahim Hassan Al-Tamimi and Tamer Farah Al-Tamimi then released them at 20:20.
2. At 18:55, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village temporarily detained Faraj Abdel-Qadder Faraj Al-Barghouthi {A resident of Deir Abu Mash'al village} then released them at a later time.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jabarat junction located in south Tulkarem city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 00:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Jaroushiyat village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Shweikiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city , clashed with several residents then withdrew at 03:10.

Attack

At 00:40, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Shweikiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town and detained a resident.

Raid

At 19:15, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village , clashed with several residents and as a result injured a resident then withdrew at 20:50.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the entrance of Azzun town detained Rashid Mohammad Ameen Saleem.

Demonstrations

At 13:30, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach the demonstration site and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

1. At 13:30,Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents who were participating in demonstrations against the closure of the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 19:15, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Kafr Qaddum village and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Jamil Hilmi Ishtewi and Sami Kahlid Aqel Jum'a as they clashed with Israeli forces during demonstrations in Kafr Qaddum village.
2. Israeli forces injured Kahlid Mohammad Aqel during their raid into Kafr Qaddum village.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 00:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shave Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Kafil Harris town and Harris village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya town, stormed "Al-Salman" Gas station, confiscated surveillance camera footage then withdrew at 23:00.

Confiscation of Property

At 21:30, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage as they stormed "Al-Salman" Gas station during their raid into Deir Istiya town.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Raid

1. At 00:55, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, stormed and searched several homes, summoned 2 residents: Ameen Abdallah Issa Abu Ahour and Mahmoud Imad Mohammad Skukani to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning then withdrew at 06:00.
2. At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 02:30.

Attack

At 01:45,Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 11:50.

Raid

At 14:00 and again at 19:00, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, clashed with several residents and detained 5 residents including 2 children.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 5 residents {including 2 children}:Selim Mohammed Salim Samouh {14 years old}, Hamdi Khalil Ismael Al-Qawasmeh {14 years old}, Maawiya Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Hashhash, Naseem Mohammad Salah, and Mahmoud Anwar Al-Natsheh in Hebron city.

Attack

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Hebron city.
2. On September 22nd 2017, Israeli forces positioned near Qalqas village located in south Hebron city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

On September 22nd 2017, Israeli forces closed access to Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound in the old city of Hebron in front of worshipers in order to allow Israeli extremist settlers to conduct Talmudic rituals inside the mosque during Jewish holidays.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed for Jewish Holidays.
