DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Anata, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At dawn on 09/22/2020, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town and detained a citizen.
2. At dawn on 09/22/2020, Israeli forces raided the town of Al-Eizariya, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At 23:30 on 21. 09. 2020, Israeli forces detained 2 citizens Hammad Abu Shamala and Ibrahim Abu Shammala. during their raid into Al-Issawiya village (as mentioned in the previous report).
2. At 19:00,Israeli forces detained Muhammad Al-Zein in the Old City of Jerusalem.
3. The detainee in Abu Dis is: Musa Mahmoud Salah.
4. Detained in the town of Al-Eizariya is: Yousef Dawood Hamad.

Deportation

On 09.22.2020, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Rohi al-Kalghasi - residents of the Old City of Jerusalem, for a period of 3 months from Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after they arrested him earlier.

Attack

At 12:30, the occupying forces fired sound and tear gas canisters in the vicinity of Qalandia military checkpoint towards the citizens while they were removing a number of stalls for street vendors in the vicinity of the checkpoint, which resulted in the injury of a number of citizens - suffocation cases due to inhaling tear gas.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

On 09.22.2020, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 23:10, Israeli forces raided the village of Shuqba, and detained a citizen.
2. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 02:40.
3. At dawn on 23/09/2020, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Luqia and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At 06:55 on 09/22/2020, Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Sorour during their raid into Ni'lin town (in addition to what was mentioned in the previous report).
2. The person detained in the village of Shuqba is: Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan.
3. The detainee in Al-Bireh is: Mahmoud Abu Muslim.
4. Detained in the town of Beit Luqia is: Abdul-Jabbar Othman Youssef Badr.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:20, the occupying forces set up a checkpoint at the Kfirt village junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 22:05.

Detention

At 20:00, the occupation forces detained 2 civilians at the "Mofo Dotan" checkpoint on the main road, Jenin - Tulkarm, and they are: Saleh Khaled Sadiq Yassin and Hafez Ibrahim Ziyoud - (both of them are residents of the town of Qabatiya).

TUBAS

Raid

At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Tubas city, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 06:00.

Detention

Detained in the city of Tubas: Obada Sharif Mustafa Abdel Razek.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 08:50, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at the "Enav" checkpoint, and blocked traffic until 10:15.

Raid

At 01:30, Israeli forces raided the village of Khirbet Jabara, south of Tulkarm, and demolished a wedding hall (under construction), and withdrew at 04:30.

Destruction of Property

At 01:30, the occupation forces demolished a wedding hall (under construction) in the village of Jabara, under the pretext that it was not licensed, and that it was located in the area classified (C) under the Israeli control.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:30, the occupying forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the city of Qalqilya. The checkpoint was established again at 19:25 to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

NABLUS

At 23:00, the occupying forces tightened their procedures at the Beit Furik checkpoint, and blocked traffic.

At 21:55, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint on the main street in the town of Huwwara, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the village of Haris, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 18:15, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to the town of Kafeel Haris, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 19:30.
3. At 19:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Kafr al-Dik, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 20:30.

JERICHO

Raid

At 10:20, Israeli forces raided the village of Al-Auja, took pictures of the school and housing of the citizens in the Bedouin community in the Ain Al-Auja area in the village, in addition to conducting a patrol, and withdrew at 12:50.

Detention

At 08:15, Israeli forces detained 2 citizens Yazan Munjid Ali Maslamani and Ayman Amjad Hekmat Masri (both of them are residents of the city of Tubas) at Al-Hamra checkpoint.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:40, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 14:30.
2. At 08:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Aqabat Hasanah area (on the main road leading to the western villages in the Bethlehem governorate), to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 14:30.
3. At 16:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 17:30.

Raid

At 12:20 on 09/22/2020, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar, and detained 2 citizens, and again at 05:00 today 09/23/2020 and detained another citizen (bringing the number of detainees in the town to 3 citizens) the withdrew At 08:00.

Detention

The 3 detainees in the town of Beit Fajar are: Munir Naseem Taqatqa, Khaled Mahmoud Musa Taqatqa, and Shahir Issa Taqatqa.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:35, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Hebron, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 23:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Halhoul, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 05:30, an Israeli force raided the town of Al-Samou, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 07:30.

Detention

The detainee in the town of Al Samou 'is: Muhammad Iyad Mahmoud Khalayleh.

Attack

At 08:40, the occupying forces, in front of Al-Aroub camp, fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens at the entrance to the camp, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.

Confiscation of Property

On 09/22/2020, the occupation forces confiscated two bulldozers and two trucks belonging to residents of the city of Hebron near Ziv, in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, while they were rehabilitating a plot of land designated for the construction of the Hebron Specialized Cancer Hospital affiliated to the Charitable Cancer Patients Association in Hebron.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.

• The occupying forces violated the ceasefire by firing from their positions on the Green Line in the Central, Khan Yunis, and Rafah governorates.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": on 09.22.2020 is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Detention

At 13:00 on 09/22/2020, the occupation forces detained a citizen (whose name was unknown), to the east of Jabalia, while he was trying to infiltrate through the border fence into Israel.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* The Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed on 01/04/2010 by an Israeli unilateral decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 17:00 on 09/22/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Maghazi camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:00 on 09/22/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sufa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 22/09 2020 is partially open(for the entry of foodstuffs, goods, building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda - Rafah crossing: on 09/22/2020 is closed.

Attack

At 22:45 on 09/22/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Rafah.
