WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on September 28th 2017, The Israeli forces imposed a complete closure on the West Bank governorates for the Jewish Holiday "Yom Kippur - Kibor" and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian and medical emergencies until 24:00 on September 30th 2017.

JERUSALEM

Closure (per District)

Since September 26th 2017, Israeli forces declared the village of Beit Surik, a closed military zone (after the death of a resident after he opened fire towards Israeli soldiers near the entrance to the settlement of "Har Adar", which killed 3 soldiers and wounded a fourth - seriously injured), The main and sub-roads leading to it were closed.

Military Checkpoints

Since September 26th 2017, Israeli forces closed Beit Iksa Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Attack

1. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Kabsa area located near Al-Eizariya town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

Since September 27th 2017, Israeli forces closed the main gate entrance leading to the tunnel road connecting the towns and villages in North Jerusalem district {totaling 16 towns and villages} with Ramallah and Al-Bireh districts And the dirt road between the town of Bidu and the village of Beit Duqu, and the western valley road between the town of Bidu and the town of Beit Anan and the villages of Kobiba and Beit Dko, and the road between the towns of Beit Anan and Beit Liqya.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Detention

At dawn on September 29th 2017, Israeli forces detained Islam Ayad Faleh Hamad during their raid into Silwad town{in addition to those mentioned in the previous report.

Demonstrations

1. At 13:30, a demonstrations took place in Ni'lin town protesting against the construction of the wall during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades and prevented residents from reaching the demonstration site.
2. At 13:30, a demonstrations took place in Bi'lin town protesting against the construction of the wall during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades and prevented residents from reaching the demonstration site.
3. At 14:10,a demonstrations took place in Al-Nabi Saleh village protesting land confiscation and settlement construction in the area during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades and prevented residents from reaching the demonstration site and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

1. At 13:30, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during demonstrations in Ni'lin town and as a result left them suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 13:30, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during demonstrations in Bi'lin town and as a result left them suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Hamam Taha Yahya and Abdel-Kareem Salah Ayoub as they clashed with protesters during demonstrations in Al-Nabi Saleh village.

Closure of main Roads

At 17:440, Israeli forces closed the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp which is located near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city with Cement blocks.

TUBAS

Settlers Attacks

At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khilat Hamad area located in the North Jordan valley and chased away several shepherds from agricultural land in the area.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint beneath Azzun town {located along the main road connecting Qalqilya and Tulkarem districts} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Demonstrations

At 13:25, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach the demonstration site and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

At 13:25,Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents who were participating in demonstrations against the closure of the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Assaults on Property

At 15:00, Israeli forces prevented several farmers from collecting olive harvests from their agricultural land in Azzun town which is located near "Ma'ali Shamron" settlement.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Deir Istiya town then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 22:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road {90} in Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 23:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Marj Al-Na'jah village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 23:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Jiftlik village then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 23:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Zabidat village then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

At 16:30, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and clashed with several residents after storming and searching a home.

Attack

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned at Ayda camp in Bethlehem city fired tear gas and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 16:30, Israeli forces fired tear gas and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Bethlehem city.
3. At 17:40,Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Teqou' town fired tear gas and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Military Checkpoints

At 21:00, Israeli forces closed Abu Al-Rish and road{60} military checkpoints in the old city of Hebron for alleged Talmudic celebrations by Israeli settlers in the area.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Tarousat village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Einoun village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, confiscated surveillance camera footage from a store owned by Fahed Riyad Al-Qawasmi.

Temporary Detention

At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city temporarily detained the child:Ahmad Marwan Hadib {15 years old} near his home then released him at 15:50.

Attack

1. At 14:10, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents including a child.
2. At 22:30, Israeli forces positioned at the south area of the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Malik Ayman Al-Qawasmi {17 years old} and Osama Munthir Fanouna during clashes near Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city.

Confiscation of Property

At 09:10, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from a store owned by Fahed Riyad Al-Qawasmi during their raid into Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 3rd 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip.

• Israeli Military forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza and Central Gaza districts and as a result injured a resident in Central Gaza district..
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 10:00 on September 29th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 15:00 on September 29th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
3. At 16:00 on September 29th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 17:00 on September 29th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire and launched tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident in east Al-Buriej camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
