WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on September 28th, 2019, Israeli occupation forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish New Year and prevented citizens and workers, including holders of permits, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian and medical emergencies after the prior coordination until 24:00 on October 1st 2019.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

On the evening of September 29th 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Al-Eisawiya village and detained 2 residents.

Raid

1. At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town and clashed with several residents.
2. At 00:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town and detained 3 residents.
3. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. At dawn on September 29th 2019, Israeli forces detained the child: Jihad Jawad Abu Ramoz {16 years old} after storming his home in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the west entrance of Al-Eisawiya village detained 2 residents: Waseem Nayef Obied and Ayoub Bahi Obeid.
3.Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Sabah Al-Hamadin, Khalil Al-Hamadin and Sa'ed Sayalat in Al-Eizariya town.
4. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Walee Obied and Sameer Obied in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

At 22:30, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Abu Dis town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30,a group of Israeli settlers led by "Ori Arail" {Israeli Minister of Agriculture} and "Yehuda Glik" {A member of the Israeli Parliament} under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 18:10, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town, detained a child then withdrew at 19:15.

Detention

Israeli forces detained the child: Hatem Sami Hamad {14 years old} during their raid into Beituniya town.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Arraba town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous town and Al-Nabi Eliyas village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Azzun town.

Attack

At 17:05, Israeli forces positioned at "Ayal" crossing point located in North Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba' area located near the entrance of Tel village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 08:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village and clashed with several residents.

Attack

At 08:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village.

Settlers Attacks

On September 29th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located near "Shavi Shamron" settlement and chased several farmers and prevented them from entering the land in order to cultivate and clean the herbs in preparation for harvesting the harvest of olives.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:00 and again at 00:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town, searched residents and vehicles then detained a resident.
2. At 13:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town detained Raed Marwan Abdel-Rahman Abdallah {a resident of Deir Ballout town}.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:30,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 13:40.
2. At 16:20,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 04:45, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, Al-Duhishat camp, Al-Doha and Al-Khader towns and Irtas village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes in Al-Duhishat camp then detained 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Raghad Raed Abdul Hadi Shamroukh, and Basil Walid Yousef Daamseh during their raid into Al-Duhishat camp.

Attack

At 04:45, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Duhishat camp.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the bypass road located near Al-Tuwani village in south east Yatta town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Yatta and Al-Samou' towns, stormed and searched several homes then withdrew at 05:10.
2. At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 03:40.

Detention

1. At 17:05, Israeli forces detained Atallah Issa Khalil Abu Subieh {a resident of Yatta town} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.
2. At 07:30 on September 30th 2019, Israeli forces positioned at Abu Al-Rish Military checkpoint located in the old city of Hebron detained the child: Osama Issam Al-Rajabi {15 years old} as he was walking to school.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 22:00 on September 29th 2019,The Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound {the Tomb of the Patriarchs} in the Old City of Hebron and prevented residents from praying inside it, under the pretext of enabling the settlers to celebrate and perform the Talmudic rituals inside the compound on the occasion of the Jewish New Year until September 30th, 2019.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles .

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 09:40 on September 29th 2019,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:00 on September 29th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of travelers.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
