WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 09:00, the occupation forces raided the town of Hizma, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At 16:00, the occupation forces positioned in the village of Sur Baher, detained the citizen: Saad Bakirat.
2. The detainee in the town of Hizma is: Mutman Ali Hassan Al-Khatib.

Attack

1. At 21:40, the occupation forces, stationed in the vicinity of the Shuafat checkpoint in Jerusalem, fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.
2. At 23:00, the occupying forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, in the Al-Tur neighborhood of Jerusalem, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, groups of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

Settlers Attacks

On 05/16/2023, a group of settlers stormed the village of Beit Iksa, and set fire to a vehicle owned by the citizen: Alian Zayed, and wrote in Hebrew (racist slogans calling for the killing of Arabs) on the walls of the house of the citizen: Subhi Ghaith.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 22:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Al-Taybeh, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 22:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Sinjil, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 10:30, the occupation forces raided the villages of Kharbatha Bani Harith, Deir Qadis, and Deir Bzei', and conducted a patrol.
2. At 22:40, the occupation forces raided the town of Beit Ur Al-Tahta, where clashes took place with the citizens, while they were on patrol, and withdrew at 04:40.
3. At 04:25, the occupation forces raided Al-Bireh, arrested a citizen, and withdrew at 05:10.

Detention

The detainee in the city of Al-Bireh is: Muhammad Aziz Abed.

Attack

1. At 13:15, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, near the western entrance to the village of Al-Mughair, at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.
2. At 22:40, the occupying forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas, during the raid into the town of Beit Ur Al-Tahta, at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were on patrol.

Closure of main Roads

1. On 16.05.2023, the occupying forces closed the eastern and western entrances to the village of Al-Mughair, to traffic.
2. At 16:45, the occupation forces closed the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, and reopened it at a later time.
3. At 17:00, the occupying forces closed the roundabout in the city of Rawabi and the entrance to the village of Umm Safa, and reopened them at a later time.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 10:00, the occupation forces raided the Jenin camp, and clashes took place with the citizens, during a raid on a house, which resulted in the injury of 5 citizens, and they also arrested a member of the Palestinian Civil Police.
2. At 14:00, the occupation forces raided the villages of Rummana and Zabuba, and conducted a patrol.
3. At 03:55, the occupation forces raided the towns of Al-Sailat Al-Harithiya and Al-Yamoun, and the villages of Zabuba, Rummana and Kafr Dan, and arrested 2 citizens in the towns of Al-Yamoun and Al-Sailat Al-Harthiya, then withdrew at 05:45.
4. At 06:50, the occupation forces raided the village of Al-Jalama, and conducted a patrol.

Detention

1. At 09:00, the occupation forces detained the Salem military checkpoint, the citizen: Muhammad Kamil.
2. The detainee in Jenin camp is: the policeman - Muhammad Waddah Al-Asmar.
3. The two detainees in the town of Al-Yamoun and Al-Saila Al-Harithiya are: Mahmoud Fawaz Sidqi Nawahda and Hamza Nasser Zyoud.

Attack

At 10:00, the occupying forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been shot and thrown with stones, which resulted in the injury of 5 citizens.

Injuries

The 5 civilians: Imad Amer, Suleiman Amer, Thaer Samar, Yazan Sanuri, and Khalil Hammad were injured during clashes with the occupation forces in Jenin camp.

TUBAS

Raid

At 06:00, the occupation forces raided the city of Tubas, where clashes took place with the citizens, during a raid and search of 2 houses.

Detention

At 12:50, the occupation forces detained Fares Noureddin Muhammad Bani Odeh, in the Al-Baqi'a area in the northern Jordan Valley.

Attack

At 06:00, during the storming of the city of Tubas, the occupying forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were raiding and searching 2 houses.

Assaults on Property

At 16:00 on 05/16/2023, the occupying forces forced 4 families from the village of Khirbet Humsa Al-Fawqa in the northern Jordan Valley, to vacate their homes (after notifying them earlier) from 16:00 on 16/05. 2023 until 06:00 today, 05/17/2023, under the pretext of carrying out training activities in the area. To evacuate their homes, and to declare it a closed military area, under the pretext of carrying out training activities in the area.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 10:40, the occupation forces raided the village of Khirbet Jabara, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 16:45, the occupation forces raided the village of Shufa, and conducted a patrol.
3. At 18:45, the occupation forces raided the village of Izbat Shufa, and patrolled until 01:20.
4. At 06:55, the occupying forces raided the Shweka suburb, and conducted a patrol.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:40, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Izbat al-Tabib. The checkpoint was set up again at 16:45 to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 08:25, the occupation forces raided the city of Qalqilya, and conducted a patrol. The raid was repeated at 06:40 and conducted a patrol.
2. At 12:00, the occupation forces raided the town of Azzun, and conducted a patrol. The raid was repeated at 18:30, and they arrested a child, then withdrew at 00:30.

Detention

The detainee in the town of Azzun is: Muhammad Issa, 16 years old.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:25, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint between the town of Aqraba and the village of Awarta, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 10:15, the occupation forces raided the town of Aqraba, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 11:30, the occupation forces raided the village of Majdal Bani Fadel, and patrolled until 17:45.
3. At 12:05, the occupying forces raided the village of Yatma, and patrolled until 17:15.
4. At 12:30, the occupation forces raided the villages of Tal Surra, and conducted a patrol.
5. At 17:15, the occupation forces raided the villages of Salem, Urif and Asira Al-Qibliya, and conducted a patrol.
6. At dawn on 05/17/2023, the occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus, to accompany a group of settlers to visit (Joseph's Tomb), and as a result, clashes took place with the citizens, which resulted in the injury of 8 citizens (including a female citizen), and the injury of 80 citizens - cases of suffocation due to Inhalation of tear gas.

Attack

At dawn on 05/17/2023, during the storming of the city of Nablus, the occupying forces fired live and metal bullets coated with rubber, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been shot and thrown with stones, while accompanying a group of settlers to visit (Joseph's Tomb), which resulted in an injury. 8 civilians (including a female citizen) were killed, and 80 civilians suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

8 unidentified civilians (including a female citizen) were injured during clashes with the occupation forces in the city of Nablus.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:10, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Deir Istiya, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 10:10, the occupation forces raided the village of Haris, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 02:25, the occupying forces raided the city of Salfit, arrested 7 citizens, and withdrew at 06:05.

Detention

The 7 detainees in the city of Salfit are: Karam Nidal Ubaid, Majd Nidal Ubaid, Yana Nidal Ubaid, Muhammad Abdul Rahim Muhammad Al-Harsh, Ahmed Bilal Abdul Rahim Azril, Abdul Karim Mazouz Abdul Rahim Al-Taqtaq, and Muhammad Mulham Younes.

JERICHO

Raid

At 20:10, the occupation forces raided the town of Al-Auja, and patrolled until 05:00.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Aqabat Hasna area (on the main road leading to the western villages in the Bethlehem governorate), to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.

Attack

At 21:55, the occupying forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, near the northern entrance to the town of Tuqu', at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

Destruction of Property

At 13:30, the occupying forces demolished an agricultural room and 2 barracks owned by the citizen: Rashid Mahmoud Salah, located in the western side of the town of Al-Khader, on the pretext of not having a license.

Closure of main Roads

At 23:30, the occupation forces closed a section of the bypass street between the town of Janata and the village of Al-Furaidis, and reopened it at 01:00.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:15, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Ithna, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 10:05, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Yatta, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 15:40, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the town of Dura, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
4. At 15:55, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Al-Samou town junction, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
5. At 21:00, the occupying forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Beit Awa, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities until 23:30.

Raid

At 08:45, the occupying forces stormed the city of Hebron, where clashes took place with the citizens in the vicinity of Hebron University while on patrol. The raid was repeated at 20:30, and they raided and searched a number of homes, confiscated an amount of money and gold jewelry, and withdrew at 23:30.

Attack

1. At 08:45, during the incursion into the city of Hebron, the occupying forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were on patrol.
2. At 11:00, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, near the entrance to Al-Arroub camp, at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, which resulted in the injury of a citizen.

Injuries

The civilian Omar Imad Younes Siam was injured during clashes with the occupation forces near the entrance to Al-Arroub camp.

Destruction of Property

At 12:35, the occupying forces demolished, in the town of Kharas, a (caravan) owned by the citizen: Mazen Halahleh.

Confiscation of Property

At 22:30, the occupation forces confiscated 3,000 shekels and gold jewelry, weighing 200 grams, from the house of the journalist's family: Raed Nazmi al-Atrash.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun crossing - "Erez": on 05/16/2023 partially open (for the passage of humanitarian cases, foreign journalists, workers of international humanitarian organizations, merchants, businessmen, workers, and travelers through the Karama crossing "Allenby" - previously coordinated for them).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
Sufa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - "Kerem Shalom": on 05/16/2023, it is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel and cooking gas, and building materials for the private sector and for internationally funded projects).
* AlAwda - Rafah: on 05/16/2023, it is open (for the departure and entry of citizens).
