DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 23rd May 2023-08:00, 24th May 2023
On 05/23/2023, the occupying forces closed the Beit Iksa checkpoint, in front of traffic, under the pretext that there was military training in the vicinity of the checkpoint.
At 04:00 on 05/23/2023, the occupation forces raided the town of Anata, and raided and searched 3 homes.
1. At 14:00, the occupation forces detained Hamza Mustafa Shuqairat, in the Jabal Al Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem.
2. At dawn on 05/24/2023, the occupation forces arrested 3 citizens in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem: Adam Ghaith, Saleh Al-Hadra, and Aysar Abu Sbaitan.
3. At dawn on 05/24/2023, the occupation forces detained Ayham Nawaf Al-Salaymeh in the Ras Al-Amud neighborhood in Jerusalem.
On 05/24/2023, the occupation authorities in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem, forced the citizen: Mahmoud Siam, to demolish his house himself, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, under the pretext of not licensing.
At 08:00, groups of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.
At 13:10, the occupation forces closed the "Al-Mahkama" checkpoint located near the "Beit El" settlement, north of Al-Bireh, under the pretext that a group of settlers were in the vicinity of the checkpoint, and later reopened it.
1. At 09:05, the occupying forces set up two checkpoints at the entrance to the town of Turmusaya and on the Wadi al-Dalb road near the village of Ras Karkar, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 18:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ras Karkar, and detained 2 citizens, Alaa Marwan Nofal and Uday Marwan Nofal, and released them at 21:35.
1. At 11:15, the occupation forces raided the village of Beit Sira, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 13:20, the occupation forces raided Al-Bireh and detained a citizen.
3. At 03:00, the occupation forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp, and raided a vegetable store.
1. At 14:35, the occupation forces arrested the citizen: Naim Dres Hassan Al-Tarifi - a resident of the city of Ramallah, while he was visiting the Israeli intelligence (the occupation forces accused him of running over a soldier in the town of Hawara, Nablus governorate).
2. At 04:45, the occupying forces detained the citizen: Muhammad Alaa Bashara Al-Hajj Muhammad - residents of Al-Mughair village.
3. The detainee in Al-Bireh is: Mahmoud Samir Badran.
1. At 08:30, the occupation forces raided the towns of Ya`bad and Araba, and the villages of Biralbasha and Sanur, and patrolled until 13:35.
2. At 16:35, the occupying forces raided the eastern village of Tora, and delivered notices to the citizen: Aziz Saleh Zaid, to demolish 2 houses, under the pretext of non-licensing. They belong to the two citizens: Aziz Saleh Zaid (a house under construction), and Ahmed Muhammad Qabha, and withdrew at 22:00. 30.
3. At 17:30, the occupation forces raided the village of Zabuba, where clashes took place with the citizens, while they were on patrol.
4. At 02:45, the occupying forces raided the town of Qabatiya, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 03:30.
5. At 04:00, the occupation forces raided the city of Jenin, where clashes took place with the citizens, during a raid on a number of homes, and arrested 2 citizens (a citizen and his son).
6. At 04:35, the occupation forces raided the town of Jaba, where clashes took place with the citizens, during a raid on a number of homes, and arrested 2 citizens (brothers), and withdrew at 05:55.
1. At 15:20, the occupying forces arrested 4 citizens - residents of the town of Qabatiya, while they were visiting the Israeli intelligence, based on prior notifications. They are: Mustafa Youssef Mustafa Zakarneh, Rafiq Muhammad Saeed Zakarneh, Ahmed Ali Ahmed Zakarneh, and Muhammad Omar Ahmed Zakarneh.
2. The detainee in the town of Qabatiya is: Kamel Kayed Zakarneh.
3. The two detainees in the city of Jenin are: Muhammad Awwad Abu Aziz, and his son Ahmed.
4. The two detainees in the town of Jaba' are: Karam Muhammad Fashafsha and his brother, Hakim.
1. At 17:30, during the raid into the village of Zubba, the occupying forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were on patrol.
2. At 04:00, the occupying forces fired live and rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas, during the storming of the city of Jenin, at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been shot and stoned, while they were raiding a number of houses.
3. At 04:30, during the storming of the town of Jaba, the occupation forces fired sound bombs and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were raiding a number of houses.
At 16:25, the occupation forces arrested the citizen: Ahmed Mamoun Saeed Daraghmeh - residents of the city of Tubas, while he was visiting the Israeli intelligence, based on a prior notification.
At 18:00, the occupation forces forced 4 families of citizens to vacate their homes in the Khirbet Humsa Al-Fawqa area in the northern Jordan Valley (after notifying them earlier) from 18:00 on 05/23/2023 until 09:00 on the 24th. 05. 2023, under the pretext of carrying out training work in the region.
At 19:15, the occupation forces raided the town of Balaa, where clashes took place with the citizens, during a raid and search of a number of homes, and withdrew at 20:30.
At 19:15, the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, during the storming of Bala'a, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were raiding a number of houses.
1. At 21:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Azzun, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 00:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint between the towns of Azzun and Kafr Thulth, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 11:25, the occupying forces raided the village of Jinsafut, and patrolled until 15:30.
2. At 21:00, the occupation forces raided the town of Habla, and patrolled until 03:10.
3. At 00:30, the occupying forces raided the town of Kafr Thulth, and conducted a patrol until 03:00.
At 18:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint between the town of Aqraba and the village of Awarta, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities.
1. At 08:45, the occupation forces raided the village of Osrin, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 08:45, the occupying forces raided the town of Beita, and conducted a patrol.
3. At 15:00, the occupation forces raided Balata camp in the city of Nablus, where clashes took place with the citizens, and withdrew at 15:30.
4. At 02:35, the occupation forces raided the city of Nablus, where clashes took place with the citizens, during a raid on a number of homes, and arrested 2 citizens, then withdrew at 04:00.
The two detainees in the city of Nablus are: Bahaa Nidal Al-Tayan and Khalil Saleh Diab.
At 15:00, the occupying forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.
At 10:15, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Za'tara Junction checkpoint, and impeded traffic.
1. At 12:35, the occupation forces arrested at the Za'tara junction checkpoint, the citizen: Saif Al-Din Khaled Abdel-Rahim Al-Shaer - residents of Al-Jalama village, Jenin governorate.
2. At 23:50, the occupation forces arrested at the Za'tara junction checkpoint, the citizen: Muhammad Tawfiq Hamayel - residents of the town of Beita, Nablus Governorate.
1. At 14:55, a group of settlers were present in the vicinity of the Za'tara junction checkpoint, and threw stones at citizens' vehicles passing through the checkpoint, as a result of which a child was injured, and she was subsequently admitted to the hospital for treatment.
2. At 19:25, a group of settlers from "Emmanuel" settlement, near the town of Deir Istiya, stole 4 cows belonging to the citizen: Youssef Suleiman Salman - residents of the town of Deir Istiya.
The girl who was injured - as a result of stones being thrown by a group of settlers at citizens' vehicles passing through the Za'tara Junction Checkpoint: Yaqeen Bahaa Youssef, 6 years old - from the village of Haris.
At 12:00, the occupation forces arrested at Al-Hamra checkpoint, the citizen: Ibrahim Jamil Ibrahim Kassab.
At 18:30, the occupying forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Tuqu', to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities until 20:30.
1. At 22:35, the occupation forces raided the village of Husan, arrested 2 children, and withdrew at 23:30.
2. At 01:50, the occupation forces raided the town of Za'tara, arrested 2 citizens, and withdrew at 07:45.
3. At 04:20, the occupation forces raided the city of Bethlehem and the Al-Azza and Aida camps in Bethlehem, raided and searched a number of homes, and withdrew at 07:45.
1. The two detainees in the village of Husan are: Nasri Alaa Sabatin, 15 years old, and Habib Muhammad Sharaf Sabatin, 15 years old.
2. The two detainees in the town of Za'tara are: Yusef Muhammad Yusuf Al-Bo and Usaid Muhammad Issa Al-Bo.
1. At 17:00, the occupation forces set up a roadblock at the entrance to the town of Bani Naim, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities until 18:00.
2. At 20:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Khallet Hadour area in Hebron, to search vehicles and verify citizens' identities until 21:40.
At 01:20, the occupying forces raided the town of Bani Naim, and detained 2 citizens (one of whom was a soldier from the customs police force).
The two detainees in the town of Bani Naim are: Khalil Mahmoud Muhammad Khaddour, and Fayez Fawaz Yousef Khaddour.
At 09:50, the occupation forces in the city of Hebron, during the raid and search of the homes of the citizen: Fakhri Shehdeh Al-Atrash, confiscated an amount of 20,000 shekels.
• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.
* The occupation forces violated the ceasefire, by storming our areas, and by firing from their positions on the Green Line in the Central Governorate.
* Beit Hanoun crossing - "Erez": on 05/23/2023 partially open (for the passage of humanitarian cases, foreign journalists, workers of international humanitarian organizations, merchants, businessmen, workers, and travelers through the Karama crossing "Allenby" - previously coordinated for them).
* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.
At 08:40 on 05/23/2023, several vehicles and bulldozers from the occupation army, with cover from reconnaissance planes, stormed our areas, about 70 meters east of the city of Deir al-Balah, and carried out excavation and razing.
On the morning of 05/23/2023, the occupying forces fired fire and tear gas canisters from their positions on the Green Line, towards citizens, farmers and agricultural lands, east of Deir Al-Balah.
* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
*Sufa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - "Kerem Shalom": on 05/23/2023, it is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel and cooking gas, and building materials for the private sector and for internationally funded projects).
* Al-Awda- Rafah: on 05/23/2023, it is open (for the departure and entry of citizens).
