WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• since 16:00 on 10/16/2022, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a complete closure on the governorates of the West Bank, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering the city of Jerusalem and Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian cases and emergency medical cases after prior coordination, on the occasion of the Jewish holiday Simhat Torah until 24:00 on the 17th of October 2022.

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 03:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the Al-Salam suburb in the town of Anata, and arrested a citizen.

Detention

1. On the evening of 10/16/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Nour El-Din Zahaika, in the Jabal Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem.
2. At 08:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Musa Hammoud Al-Hadra, in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem.
3. At 08:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the village of Al-Isawiya detained the citizen: Ahmed Derbas.
4. At 08:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near Bab al-Silsila (one of the doors leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalem detained citizen: Hanadi Al-Halawani.
5. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near Bab al-Silsila (one of the doors leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalemdetained the citizen: Kifah Al-Natsheh.
6. At 04:20, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Ahmed Taha Abu Kalabsha, in Shuafat camp in Jerusalem.
7. The detainee in Dahiyat Al-Salam in the town of Anata is: Atef Al-Tamimi.

Settlement Activities

On 10/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem approved a settlement plan to build hundreds of new settlement units in the settlements of “Psgat Ze’ev”, “Nabi Yaakov”, “Warmut”, “Warmat Shlomo” and “Gilo”, which are built on the lands of the city of Jerusalem within the territories occupied in 1967.

Settlers Attacks

At 12:00, a group of Israeli settlers in the Al-Masara neighborhood in Jerusalem attacked the vehicles of citizens passing by.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, groups of extremist Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 11:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Al-Janiya, and conducted the patrol until 13:00.
2. At 22:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Dura Al-Qara', clashed with the citizens, while they were on patrol, and withdrew at 22:20.
3. At 02:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Beit Sira, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 07:10.
4. At 02:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Kober, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 06:30.
5. At 03:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided al-Jalazun camp and detained a citizen.

Attack

1. At 12:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of the entrance to the settlement of "Psagot", which is built on the eastern outskirts of Al-Bireh city, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning, and detained 2 civilians.
2. At 20:45, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to Deir Abu Mishaal village, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning
3. At 22:00, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning during their raid into Dura village
4. At 02:10, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to Ofer camp, the occupation forces fired live ammunition's rubber-coated metal bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning.

Detention

1. The detainee in the village of Beit Sira is: Thaerer Yousef Hamdan.
2. The detainee in the town of Kober is: Idris Al-Abed.
3. The detainee in Al-Jalazun camp is: Salah Al-Din Ibrahim Al-Zubaidi.
4. The two detainees, during confrontations with the occupation forces, in the vicinity of the entrance to the settlement of "Psagot", which is built on the eastern outskirts of Al-Bireh city, are: Muhammad Bashar Muhammad Yassin, and Ahmad Mahmoud Taha.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 19:00, a group of Israeli settlers was near the settlement of Beit El, north of the city of Al-Bireh, and threw stones at Palestinian vehicles passing by.
2. At 21:30, a group of Israeli settlers near the settlement of "Kochav Hashachar" threw stones at the vehicles of the citizens passing by on the bypass road that runs alongside the settlement.
3. On the evening of 10/17/2022, a group of Israeli settlers from the settlement of "Halamish" severely beat 7 citizens, while they were being detained, as a result of were hospitalized with contusions.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 15:40, the Israeli occupation forces raided the villages of Zbouba, Rummana, and 'Ta'anak, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 22:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Rummana, stormed and searched a house, and confiscated the house's surveillance camera recording device.
3. At 02:25, the Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Ya'bad, Al-Zababda and Qabatiya, and detained a citizen in the town of Qabatiya.

Detention

The detainee in the town of Qabatiya is: Muhammad Al-Saho.

Attack

At 19:40, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of Al-Jalama checkpoint, fired indiscriminately towards the citizens in the vicinity of the checkpoint, under the pretext that they had been fired upon by an unidentified assailant.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 17:50, the Israeli occupation forces raided the villages of Pharaoh and Khirbet Jbara, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 20:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Tulkarm and the towns of Baqa al-Sharqiya and Attil, and conducted the patrol until 23:50.
3. At 01:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Anabta and Kafr al-Labad, and conducted the patrol until 01:55.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint along the road between the towns of Jayyous and Azzoun, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens.
2. At 20:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ezbet Al-Tabib, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.
3. At 21:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Jinsafut village, to search vehicles and check the identities of the citizens.

Attack

At 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the northern entrance to Azzun town fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun, and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning

Closure of main Roads

At 15:50, the Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate located at the entrance to the town of Azzun, in front of the traffic block.

NABLUS

Raid

1. At 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Iraq Al-Taya, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 19:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided the Jabal al-Tur area in Nablus, and patrolled until 05:20.
3. At 20:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided Salem village and conducted a patrol.
4. At 02:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Surra and conducted a patrol.

Detention

1. At 15:10, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Ahmed Rashad Shaheen - residents of Qaryut village, near the settlement of "Qaryut", while he was picking olives.
2. At 19:55 the Israeli occupation forces positioned at the Beit Furik checkpoint detained 2 civilians: Muhammad Jassem Khatatbeh and Jihad Hamdi Khatatbeh - (residents of Beit Furik town).

Attack

At 19:55, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the roundabout of Deir Sharaf village, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning, as a result injured 5 journalists (one of whom was injured as a result of a gas bomb hitting the face, and another with bruises) and left 3 others suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas).

Injuries

The journalist: Moataz Al-Sudani was injured {after a gas bomb fired by Israeli occupation forces struck him in the face} during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near the roundabout of Deir Sharaf village.

Settlers Attacks

At 16:00, a group of Israeli settlers from the "Eli" colony expelled the farmers and prevented them from picking the olive crops from their agricultural lands in the Batisha area of the village of Qaryut, located near the settlement.

SALFIT

Raid

1. At 17:10, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Rafat, and conducted the patrol until 17:55.
2. At 00:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Haris, and they patrolled until 01:10.

Attack

At 18:10, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the western entrance to the village of Hares, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.

JERICHO

Raid

At 02:55,the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Jericho and the camps of Ain Al-Sultan and Aqabat Jaber in the city, and they patrolled until 04:00.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Al Walaja, to search vehicles and check the identities of citizens until 10:40.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Karantina area in the Old City of Hebron, to search vehicles and check citizens' identities until 19:00.

Raid

At 03:05, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Yatta and conducted a patrol.

Detention

1. At 15:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the old town of Hebron detained the child: Abd al-Rahman Abd al-Qadir Marar, 17 years old.
2. At 21:50, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the old town of Hebron detained the citizen: Ismail Mahmoud Bader Ghaith.

Attack

1. At 10:45, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to Al-Aroub camp, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.
2. At 13:25, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the Tariq bin Ziyad roundabout in the old town of Hebron, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.
3. At 14:15, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Wadi Khneis area in the town of Sa'ir fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.
4. On the evening of 10/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar fired rubber-coated metal bullets, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

At 09:45, the Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate built on the main street near the entrance to the "Nogohot" settlement, which is built between the towns of Dura and Beit Awa, in front of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the ceasefire agreement by firing from their positions on the Green Line in the governorates of North Gaza, Gaza, and Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

At 09:00 on 10/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and launched tear gas canisters from their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of Gaza City.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom - Kerem Shalom Crossing: On 10/17/ 2022, is closed
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: On 10/17/ 2022 is open in both directions (for citizens to leave and enter).

At 09:00 on 10/17/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire and launched tear gas canisters from their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of Rafah.
