MONTHLY SUMMARY OF ISRAELI VIOLATIONS

The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 April 2017 to April 30 2017. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only. 

 

 

Sample of Israeli Violations during the Month of April  2017

  • 1 April: Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed the child Ahmad Fathi Zahar Ghazal {17 years old} {A resident of Nablus city} for allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli settler in the old city of Jerusalem.
  • 10 April: The child Jassim Mohammed Nakhlah {17 years old}{A resident of Al-Jalazoun camp} died of critical injuries sustained after Israeli forces opened fire towards a vehicle along the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp near "Bet El" settlement on March 24th 2017.
  • 14 April: Israeli forces injured 4 residents {including a child}: Ayham Raed Sabah {16 years old}, Hamad Ziyad Sabah, Faris Hassan Daraghmeh and Ahmad Jamal Ahmad Daraghmeh near a flying checkpoint at the entrance of Tamoun town.
  • 14 April: a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach the demonstration site and as a result injured 3 unidentified children.
  • 15 April: a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village protesting against the closure of the east entrance during which Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents thus preventing them from reaching the demonstration site and as a result injured the child Yusef Nidal Ahmad Aqel {16 years old}.
  • 17 April: Israeli forces positioned at Billal Bin Rabah mosque in North Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents who were participating in demonstrations in solidarity with Palestinian Detainees who are undergoing a hunger strike protesting their illegal detainment by Israeli Military forces and as a result injured 2 residents {including a child}: Mohammad Ahmad Musa {13 years old and Ibrahim Musalim.
  • 19 April: Israeli forces positioned near Kafr Itsiyon settlement junction opened fire towards Suhayeb Musa Mash'hour Mashahrah {21 years old} {A resident of Al-Shiekh Sa'id village in Jerusalem district} and as a result killed him for allegedly attempting to run over Israeli soldiers with his vehicle.

 

  • 20 April: an Israeli settler vehicle travelling along a road near Jabal Jalis area located in the old city of Hebron ran over and injured the child: Layan Ayed Al-Razim {5 years old} and as a result left her hospitalized with contusions

 

  • 22 April: Israeli forces injured Su'ad Abu Ramoz after she was struck by a tear gas grenade canister during demonstrating in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city in solidarity with Palestinian Detainees and who are on hunger strike.
  • 22 April: Israeli forces injured Fatimah Mahmoud Obied after she was struck by a rubber coated steel bullet to her eye during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.
  • 22 April: An Israeli settlers travelling in his vehicle near Karameh village in west Yatta opened fire and as a result injured the child Yusef Wael Awwadeh {6 years old} leaving him hospitalized with a bullet wound to the abdominal area.
  • 23 April: An Israeli settler driving a vehicle near Sur Baher village ran over 2 children: Mohammad Musa Atwan and Nada Musa Atwan and as a result left them hospitalized with fractures and contusions.
  • 23 April: Israeli forces injured 3 resident: Mohammad Lutfi Hassan {16 years old} {critically injured}, Rashid Rasim Hamayil {16 years old} and Mahmoud Ibrahim Abdel-Fattah Mubarak {16 years old} during confrontations in Kafr Malik village.
  • 23 April: Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city injured 4 residents {including 3 children}: Ahmad Khaled Hamad {16 years old}, Mustafa Mohammad Nassar Hamdan {16 years old}, Yahya Hisham Al-Shafi'i {17 years old} and Mo'yad Eyad Hussien Qadah.
  • 25 April: Israeli forces positioned at Huwara Military Checkpoint opened fire towards the child Amjad Maher Salah(16 years old){A resident of Balata camp in Nablus city} and as a result injured him the detained him for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.
  • 27 April: Israeli forces fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Issawiya village and as a result injured the child: Mus'ab Mahmoud Muhisien {14 years old} then detained him from inside the Ambulance as he was receiving Medical treatment.
  • 27 April: Israeli forces positioned near the entrances of Al-Nabi Saleh and Deir Abu Mash'al village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 3 residents{ including a child}:Maysara Hamad {14 years old}, Mahmoud Yusef Zahran and Abdel-Qadder Abdel-Rahim Daghrah.
  • 28 April: Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets; stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach the demonstration site and as a result injured 6 residents {including 2 children}.
  • 29 April: Israeli forces raided Orif village, clashed with several residents and as a result injured 2 residents {including a child}: Anas Abdel-Rahman Al-Safadi {17 years old} and Tayseer Fa’eq Al-Safadi and also left 2 others suffering injuries including a fractured arm after  Israeli forces physicaly assaulted them.

  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces demolished 3 Apartment buildings {consisting of 13 Apartments} owned by Othman Abu Sabatin, Ahmad Shabir and Ayman Al-Daya during their raid into Al-Za'im village for allegedly being built without a license.
  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Beit Hanina town and forced Hafith Al-Rajabi to demolish his own home then made him pay a financial penalty.
  • On April 18th 2017, Israeli forces demolished 2 homes owned by Ammar Salamah Ahadidat and Mohammad Amin Shariqat in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
  • Israeli forces stormed Abu Al-Rish area located between Deir Ballout town and Al-Labban Al-Gharbiya village and demolished several tents owned by Mohammad Al-Sha'ir and 5 trailers.

  • On April 1st 2017, Israeli Military forces  levelled a plot of land {approximately 15 Dunums} owned by Ibrahim Soliman Sabih in Wadi Al-Ghuyot area located in Al-Khader town and near “Sde Boghaz” settlement.
  • On April 5th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Khilat Al-Qutun area located in east Bethlehem city and levelled 40 dunums{acres} of land planted with Olive, Almond and Grape groves owned by Hamid Mizhir, Ahmad Abu Sarour, Hassan Shahin, Ali Fanoun, Hussien Al-Hatwani, Nasser Baker, Ibrahim Tafish and Mohammad Al-Zaghari alleging that the land is state property.
  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land approximately 30 acres {dunums} in east Assira Al-Qibliya and South Madma village.
  • On April 11th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land near Jabara Military checkpoint in south Tulkarem city for the purpose of expanding the checkpoint.
  • On April 20th  2017, Israeli Authorities in Jerusalem city announced a decision to confiscate 1.3 dunums of land located in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood {Plot number (11) in section 29991} located near the main road beside Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem.
  • On April 24th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land in the vacinity of "Arraba-Dotan" military base located near Araba town junction and served a military order for the removal of a mobile home and live stock Den owned by Jamal Al-Khalili giving him until May 20th 2017.
  • On April 24th 2017, Israeli forces stormed the area near "Skakid" settlement and levelled approximately 30 dunums of land in Thahir Al-Malih area located behind the wall in an attempt to expand the settlement.
  • On April 25th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land near " Karni Shamron" settlement owned by Khalid Mahmood Bashir {A resident of Jinsafut village}.
  • On April 27th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Izbit Shufa village and served Military Land confiscation orders to 3 residents: Jihad Kamal Mustafa Ismail, Fathi Mustafa Ismail and Hisham Mohammad Ahmad Hamad for the purpose of settlement expansion.

Closure

Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of January the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).

The Israeli military installed 548 flying checkpoints in April 2017 (compared with 549 in March 2017 and 368 in February 2017) and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

The Israeli military carried out a total of 483 raids in Palestinian residential areas during the month of April 2017, including 478 in the West Bank and 5 in the Gaza Strip. Home Demolition

During the month of April 2017, the Israeli military demolished 18 Palestinian homes and residential tents, which consisted of the following: 

 

Jerusalem:

Attack on Public and Private property occurred as follows per District:

Jerusalem:

  • On April 4th 2017: Israeli forces demolished 5 concrete fences and an agricultural structure owned by Alqam, Al-Abbassi and Al-Natsheh families in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city for allegedly being built without a license
  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Beit Safafa village and demolished a livestock structure.
  • On April 18th 2017, Israeli forces demolished a livestock barn owned by Murad Ziyad Mustafa during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village for allegedly being built without a license.
  • On the evening of April 26th 2017, Israeli Authorities based on orders from the Minister of Interior prevented a debate regarding (Palestine and Israeli incitement in Israeli Culture and education) in Al-Yaghasi Hotel in Jerusalem city which was organized by The Palestinian Academic Association for International Affairs after the arrival of several international diplomats who came to attend the debate during which Israeli forces temporarily detained the Palestinian Minister of Education and Higher Education Sabri Saydam thus preventing him from participating.

Ramallah:

  • On April 7th 2017, Israeli forces demolished the Interior walls of a home owned by Malik Ahmad Musa Hamad during their raid into Silwad town.
  • On April 25th 2017, Israeli forces demolished 6 merchant shops {Vegetable and fruite} in Ni'lin town for allegedly being too close to the Military base.

Tubas:

  • On April 5th 2017, Israeli forces ordered 10 families to leave their homes in Al-Ras Al-Ahmar area located in the North Jordan valley area from 17:00 on April 5th 2017 until 05:00 April 6th 2017 for alleged military training in the area.
  • On April 5th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Um Al-Aber area located in the North Jordan valley area and uprooted several trees owned by Eyad Zabidat and Salah Al-Tubasi.
  • On April 25th 2017, The Israeli Military forcibly removed 16 families from their homes in Ras Al-Ahmar and Humsa Al-Foqa areas located in the North Jordan valley area from 18:00 on April 25 2017 until 05:00 on April 26th 2017 for alleged military training in the area.
  • On April 26th 2017, The Israeli Military removed 16 families from their homes in Ras Al-Ahmar and Haumsa Al-Foqa area's in the North Jordan valley from 10:00 until 16:00 on April 26th 2017 for alleged military training in the area.
  • On April 27th 2017, Israeli forces demolished a water well in Bardala village used for crop irrigation purposes.

Nablus:

  • On April 2nd 2017, Israeli forces closed down Al-Bukhari Office owned by Alaa Al-Terawi for a period of 2 months during their raid into Nablus city until May 31st 2017.
  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces served a military order to remove property owned by Muhyi Al-Din Asfour Salim Hassan, Hani Adel Rashid Odah and Ismail Marzouq Mutliq Odah from land in Qusra village.
  • On April 26th 2017, a vehicle owned by Hani Subhi Awad Dameni was torched by Israeli settlers in Huwara town.
  • On April 28th 2017, a fire broke out near a vegetable stand during demonstrations in Beita town protesting in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike after a tear gas grenade fired by Israeli forces exploded in the area and as a result damaged several trailers used as vegetable stands before Palestinian Civil Defense forces were able to extinguish the flames.

Salfit:

  • On April 3rd 2017, Israeli forces stormed Wadi Qana area located near Deir Istiya town and uprooted approximately 135 Olive trees owned by Abdel-Azziz Abdel-Qadder Aqel and Muqbil Mohammad Awwad {both are residents of Deir Istiya}.
  • On April 5th 2017, Israeli forces demolished several tents owned by Mohammad Al-Sha'ir and 5 trailers during their raid into Abu Al-Rish area located between Deir Ballout town and Al-Labban Al-Gharbiya village
  • On April 11th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Al-Zayaq area located in south Deir Ballout town and uprooted 18 Olive trees in order to install a water pipe network for the settlement located south of the town.

Bethlehem:

  • On April 20th 2017, Israeli forces positioned near Beit Ta'mar village pumped waste water and sewage onto agricultural land planted with Olive groves and as a result damaged several crops and residents were unable to enter the land because of the environmental and health hazard caused as a result.
  • On April 23rd 2017, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Teqou' town temporarily seized vehicle owned by Annan Kayed Khalaf Jabril
  • On April 25th 2017, Israeli settlers set fire to approximately 5 Dunums of agricultural land and destroyed 100 Olive trees owned by Mubarak Hassan Zawahra and Mohammad Hassan Zawahra {A resident of Za'tara town} in Al-Faradis mountains.

Hebron:

  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli forces closed down a steel mill owned by Ashraf Fihmi Al-Qaraqi during their raid into Al-Shiyoukh town.
  •  On April 17th 2017, closed down the offices of Palestine Polytechnic University located near Hebron University and closed down the offices by sealing the main entrances and windows with steel during their raid into Hebron city.
  • On April 19th 2017, Israeli forces positioned neat "Karmi Tsur" settlement located in south Beit Ummar town confiscated a bulldozer owned by Yusef Abdel-Azziz Abu Ayash {A resident of Beit Ummar town} as he was working in agricultural land located near the settlement.

 

Confiscation of Property:

Jerusalem:

  • At dawn on April 20th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated 113 vehicles and 1000 USD during their raids into Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis town and Al-Sawah Al-Sharqiya village.
  • On April 27th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated steel mill equipment owned by Bader Family during their raid into Abu Dis town.

Ramallah:

  • On April 7th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated 3 vehicles and 5000 NIS owned by Saed Hamad and Mu'tasim Abdel-Majid Hamad during their raid into Silwad town.
  • On April 20th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated 7 vehicles during their raid into Silwad town.

Jenin:

  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Adnan Yassin Hamarshah in Ya'bad town.
  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Loia Ahmad Sa,abna {A Lawyer} as they detained him during their raid into Fahma village.
  • On April 13th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Ahmad Shafiq Sa'abna during their raid into Fahma village.
  • On April 21st 2017, Israeli forces confiscated 60000 J.D and an additional 6000 owned by Khalid Saleem Rashid Zayoud as well as gold jewelry.

Tubas:

  • On April 17th 2017, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Al-Hamra area in the North Jordan valley confiscated a Tractor owned by Abdel-Hakim Nassar Daraghmeh.
  • On April 23rd 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Husam Musa Thiyab Al-Ammar {A resident of Tayassir village} in east Tayassir village.

Tulkarem:

  • On April 6th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Faris Mahdawi during their raid into Izbit Al-Tayah village.
  • On April 29th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from a merchant shop owned by Nihad Saleh Mahmoud Obied near the entrance of Far’oun village.

Nablus:

  • On April 4th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a mobile home owned by Tarik Ahmad Abu O'un in Faroush area in Beit Dajan village.
  • On April 6th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a computer after storming the home of Izzat Ramadan during their raid into Tel village.
  • On April 17th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage after storming several homes and merchant shops during their raid into Nablus city.

Bethlehem:

  • On April 12th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a computer owned by Mohammad Al-Laham after detaining him as they stormed and searched his home during their raid into Bethlehem city and Al-Duhisheh camp.

Hebron:

  • On April 6th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Hamza Al-Bartan during their raid into Ithna village.
  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated several equipment owned by Maher Abdel-Salam Al-Sharabati after storming his steel mill during their raid into Hebron city.
  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Loai Aliyan Al-Taweel during their raid into Hebron city.
  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated steel mill equipment owned by Ashraf Fihmi Fahed Al-Qaraqi during their raid into Al-Shiyoukh town.
  • On April 12th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated identification cards of Shaher Abed Al-Shakur {A Palestinian Intelligence officer} and his nephew as they temporarily detained them during their raid into Hebron city.
  • On April 20th 2017, Israeli forces positioned neat "Karmi Tsur" settlement located in south Beit Ummar town confiscated a bulldozer owned by Yusef Abdel-Azziz Abu Ayash {A resident of Beit Ummar town} as he was working in agricultural land located near the settlement.
  • On April 26th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a computer owned by Taher Dandis as they stormed "Al-Isra" print shop located near Hebron University during their raid into Hebron city.

 

  • Settlement Activity:
  • On April 1st 2017, Israeli Military forces  levelled a plot of land {approximately 15 Dunums} owned by Ibrahim Soliman Sabih in Wadi Al-Ghuyot area located in Al-Khader town and near “Sde Boghaz” settlement.
  • On April 5th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Khilat Al-Qutun area located in east Bethlehem city and levelled 40 dunums{acres} of land planted with Olive, Almond and Grape groves owned by Hamid Mizhir, Ahmad Abu Sarour, Hassan Shahin, Ali Fanoun, Hussien Al-Hatwani, Nasser Baker, Ibrahim Tafish and Mohammad Al-Zaghari alleging that the land is state property.
  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land approximately 30 acres {dunums} in east Assira Al-Qibliya and South Madma village.
  • On April 11th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land near Jabara Military checkpoint in south Tulkarem city for the purpose of expanding the checkpoint.
  • On April 20th  2017, Israeli Authorities in Jerusalem city announced a decision to confiscate 1.3 dunums of land located in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood {Plot number (11) in section 29991} located near the main road beside Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem.
  • On April 24th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land in the vacinity of "Arraba-Dotan" military base located near Araba town junction and served a military order for the removal of a mobile home and live stock Den owned by Jamal Al-Khalili giving him until May 20th 2017.
  • On April 24th 2017, Israeli forces stormed the area near "Skakid" settlement and levelled approximately 30 dunums of land in Thahir Al-Malih area located behind the wall in an attempt to expand the settlement.
  • On April 25th 2017, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land near " Karni Shamron" settlement owned by Khalid Mahmood Bashir {A resident of Jinsafut village}.
  • On April 27th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Izbit Shufa village and served Military Land confiscation orders to 3 residents: Jihad Kamal Mustafa Ismail, Fathi Mustafa Ismail and Hisham Mohammad Ahmad Hamad for the purpose of settlement expansion.

 

  • Settler Violence

Settler violence occurred during the month of April 2017 including:

Jerusalem:

  • On April 9th 2017, Israeli settlers assaulted Rakan Darbas {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village} in Jerusalem city.
  • At dawn on April 10th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed agricultural land in Mukhmas village located near Road {60} and uprooted 310 Olive trees owned by Ali Araf Al-Haj, Abdel-Sami' Mahna and Dahish Mahna.
  • On April 12th 2017, Israeli settlers assaulted several residents near Bab Al-Majlis {a Main gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound}.
  • On April 23rd 2017, an Israeli settler driving a vehicle near Sur Baher village ran over 2 children: Mohammad Musa Atwan and Nada Musa Atwan and as a result left them hospitalized with fractures and contusions.

Ramallah:

  • On April 12th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers attacked homes near Al-Tireh neighborhood in Ramallah city then withdrew at a later time.
  • On April 16th 2017, Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed agricultural land in Ein Qinya village then withdrew at a later time.
  • On April 18th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers from "Beit El" settlement pumped sewage from inside the settlement on to agricultural land near Al-Jalazoun camp and as a result damaged several crops.
  • On April 27th 2017, Israeli settlers stormed Deir Debwan town and opened fire towards several tents used as livestock barns.

Jenin:

  • On the evening of April 30th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed the area of “Tarsala” settlement {which was abandoned}, conducted Talmudic rituals then chanted racist and Anti-Arab slogans.

Tubas:

  • On April 17th 2017, Israeli settlers clashed several residents who were herding livestock in Ein Kusat area in the North Jordan valley.

 

Qalqiliya:

  • On April 14th 2017, Israeli settlers positioned near Jinsafut village stoned Mufid Imad Al-Khatib {A resident of Biet Rima town} as he was travelling in his vehicle and as a result left him hospitalized with a severe eye injury.
  • On April 16th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in North Kafr Qaddum village.

 

Nablus:

  • On April 1st 2017, Israeli settlers positioned near Huwara town and stoned “Al-Qantari” Public park then withdrew at a later time.
  • On April 1st 2017, Israeli settlers stormed Burin village, attacked the home of Bashir Hamza Al-Zien then withdrew after being confronted by local residents.
  • On April 6th 2017, Israeli settlers positioned near "Yisthar" settlement prevented resident and vehicles from passing through the bypass road near the settlement.
  • On April 15th 2017, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burin village and stoned the home of Maher Al-Najjar during which local residents were able to chase away the settlers as they withdrew at 16:40 under the protection of the Israeli military.
  • On April 16th 2017, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burqa village.
  • On April 16th 2017, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in Al-Qa'adat area located in south Madma village.
  • On April 22nd 2017, an Israeli settler vehicle ran over Isam Abdel-Khaliq Nadim Ghannam and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.
  • On April 22nd 2017, Israeli settlers stormed Huwara town , stoned residents and as a result injured 3 residents {including women}: Badi'a Odeh {head wound}, Rabi' Abdel-Qadder Dabiyat {head wound} and Ahmad Yusef Odeh {Head wound}.
  • On April 22nd 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Orif village, stoned several residents and homes and as a result injured Sharif Abdel-Hafith Ammar {head injury} during which Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents: Adel Abdel-Hafith Ammar and Jihad Assad Al-Safadi and left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation
  • On April 26th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near "Shavi Shamron" settlement assaulted Ahmad Khalid Qubha {A resident of Jenin district} and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.
  • On April 26th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers set fire to a vehicle owned by Hani Subhi Awad Dameni.
  • On April 27th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the east area of Burin village and set fire to agricultural land during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents as they attempted to prevent the settler attack.
  • On April 29th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near “Karni Shamron” settlement stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus.
  • On April 29th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in east Orif village and assaulted several residents. 
  • On April 29th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near “Kafar Putah” settlement located in Yasuf village stoned residents and vehicles.

 

Salfit:

  • On April 17th 2017, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Janin area located in Yasuf village with several Police dogs then opened random fire in the area before leaving the area at a later time.

Jericho:

  • On April 21st 2017, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Shallal area in Al-Oja village, prevented residents from entering the area then assaulted several International peace activists

Bethlehem:

  • On April 4th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers from "Sidi Boughar" settlement stormed Ein Qassis area located in Al-Khader town and began levelling the land owned by Robin Salahas well as placing Mobile homes in the area in an attempt to confiscate it
  • On April 16th 2017, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli forces stormed Irtas village
  • On April 20th 2017, an Israeli settler vehicle travelling along Teqou' town bypass road ran over the child Kawthar Fahed Shawriyat {17 years old} {A resident of Tequo' town} and as a result left her hospitalized with contusions.
  • On April 21st 2017, Israeli settlers assaulted Issam Mohammad Ibrahim Hamamrah {A resident of Husan village} and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions
  • On April 24th 2017, Israeli settlers from "Sidi Pghaz" settlement outpost {which is located on land in Al-Khader town} levelled plots of land approximately 10 dunums owned by Ibrahim Suliman Subieh.
  • On April 25th 2017, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Faradis mountain and set fire to approximately 5 Dunums of agricultural land and destroyed 100 Olive trees owned by Mubarak Hassan Zawahra and Mohammad Hassan Zawahra {A resident of Za'tara town}.

 

Hebron:

  • On April 13th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Ein Far'a village located in North Dura village and performed Talmudic rituals.
  • On April 22nd 2017, a Israeli settlers travelling in his vehicle near Karameh village in west Yatta opened fire and as a result injured the child Yusef Wael Awwadeh {6 years old} leaving him hospitalized with a bullet wound to the abdominal area.
  • On April 30th 2017, a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the bypass road bear Al-Far’iya village located in east Yatta town ran over the child Ahmad Mohammad Al-Amour {4 years old} and as a result left him hospitalised  with serious injuries.
  • On April 30th 2017, an Israeli settler vehicle travelling in the old city of Hebron ran over the child Murad Samer Al-Razim {4 years old} and as a result left him hospitalised with serious injuries.
  • Closure of Crossing Points

The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 170 occasions during the month of April 2017. The Israeli military closed crossing points within the Green Line on 110 occasions. It opened Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing for 21 days for previously-coordinated humanitarian cases and foreign nationals and Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing for 19 days for transportation of food supplies, humanitarian aid, and cooking gas. In addition to allowing in animal feed, construction cargo designated for UNRWA and internationally-funded projects was transported through the Crossing. Sufa Crossing was closed throughout the month. On the other hand, the Israeli authorities have continued to unilaterally close Ash Shuja’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Israeli authorities has also continued to completely close Al Muntar (Karnei) Commercial Crossing.

The Israeli military closed international crossing points on 60 occasions. Rafah Crossing was closed. Yasser Arafat International Airport has remained closed since the outbreak of the second Intifada.
